Guide To Reign My Tycoon Husbands - Chapter 560
Chapter 560: Instant Karma
Old Master Xu cried in anger. However, even though everyone sympathised with him, they couldn’t do anything to help him. Young Master Xu did something wrong. This was his comeuppance, and he had to face it no matter what.
“Father, father! You have to save me. You have to save me!” Master Xu screamed as he was dragged out of the auction hall along with Xianqian. He yelled and shouted for his father to come and save him, but Old Master Xu didn’t say a word. He was too disgusted and disappointed with his son.
He never asked him to do anything because Old Master Xu knew that his son was not good at anything. It was his son who insisted on running this auction hall because he thought that he was being outshone by his sister. Old Master Xu knew the thoughts of his son; after all, he was a piece of flesh that fell out of his womb.
How could he not understand what was going on in the mind of his son? Thus, even though he thought that his son would run this auction hall into ruins, he handed it to him. He thought that his son would run it for a few months and then give up after he had learnt his lesson.
Who would have thought that for the sake of going against his sister, he would go to such lengths!?
Old Master Xu was disgusted, but he still had to face the angry crowd and calm their anger down. He bowed his head in front of the crowd and pleaded with all the dignity that he was left with at that moment. “Forgive us for the poor display of honesty and integrity. We will try to return every single penny that was taken from you. Please give us some time to arrange for the money, as we cannot take out so much money at the same time.”
Old Master Xu felt like he had lost all his face in just one night. His beloved wife cared for him so much that she didn’t even let him kneel in front of his father-in-law when he was serving tea. She told him that he only needed to bow in front of the heavens and no one else, because she wouldn’t let him face such a situation.
Thus, Old Master Xu had never bowed in front of anyone all his life. He only bowed to the heavens when needed because even his father and mother-in-law didn’t have any intentions to dominate their son-in-law.
Who would have thought that all the face and respect that his wife had shown him when she was alive would be thrown on the ground by her own son when she died?
His wife must be rolling in her grave at the moment, just thinking about the good deeds that her son did after she died.
Seeing Old Master Xu like this, no one had the face to get angry anymore. Qi Yongrui stepped forward and said to him, “There is no need to be in a hurry, Old Master Xu. It’s true that your son did something wrong, but he and you are different. It is not you who failed in teaching him; it is the company that he kept when he was growing up. You cannot blame yourself for the decision that he made, and neither will we.”
“He is right,” Chen Mingyu looked at the crying mer and said to him, “The one who did something wrong was your son, and he is a grown-up man, Old Master Xu. The decisions that he takes have nothing to do with you or your family.”
He turned to look at Old Master Ling, who was crying as well, and remarked, “The same goes for you, Master Ling. Your daughter was the one who made the decision to make money in such a crooked way. So please don’t think of it as your own. We trust you, and we still hold the same respect for your wives. No matter what happens, the name of the heroes can never be ruined.”
As he spoke, he looked at the silent crowd, who immediately agreed.
What else could they do? The patriarch of the Luo and the Shi families had spoken. They could not go against them, could they?
They could only agree with what they said at once.
Old Master Xu sobbed even harder when he heard the words of the crowd. He lowered his face and covered it with his hands before saying in a sobbing voice, “Thank you for trusting us. We will make sure that we return everything that my stupid son had taken from you all. It will…” he turned to look at his daughter, who showed him eight fingers and he turned to look at the rest of the crowd before saying with slight embarrassment, “It will take eight months for us to return the money but I promise that we will return every penny.”
“You can take your time, Old Master Xu,” Shi Meifeng smiled at the old mer gently. “No one is in a hurry here.”
“Thank you, thank you so much.” Old Master Ling bowed his head and thanked the crowd with red eyes. He was quite glad that they were willing to wait because even if he had three daughters, they were not as successful as the head of the families who came here. If they were asked to hand over the entire sum of money in one go, then they would have to sell the house where they lived.
“But I want my money right this very second!”
Just as the old mer finished speaking, an old yet energetic voice echoed in the auction house, and they all turned to look at Madam Pei, who was limping over. She was no longer looking as grand as before and was now leaning against her assistant. She looked at the two mers and said to them angrily, “Hand the money your children took from me, right this very second. How dare they! How dare they sell me a fake drum? That, too, made of human remains.”
When Madam Pei thought about how she had touched and caressed the drum as if it were a treasure, she wished she could wash her hands clean with acid.
When everyone heard her words, their expressions turned a bit cold. Even the officers looked at Madam Pei with a hint of annoyance on their faces. Did this woman think that they were dead? Why was she yelling as if she had taken out billions?
“Did you hear me?!” Madam Pei yelled again. “I said I want my money back right this very instant! Don’t think that I don’t know that you two were on this crooked idea with your children. If you think that just a few tears from you all will make me think that you did nothing wrong and you were innocent, then I am telling you that I am not a fool! I can see right through your lies.”
By saying those words, Madam Pei not only pissed off the Ling and the Xu families, but she even made the rest of the crowd angry.
They believed Old Master Ling and Old Master Xu’s pleas just now and even agreed to let them pay back the money slowly. What did Madam Pei mean to say by those words? That they were fools who could not see wrong from right?
Even the officers felt a bit annoyed.
Thus, before Old master Xu or Old Master Ling could say anything, they were the ones who spoke up first.
One of the officers turned to look at the woman who was yelling and throwing a tantrum before saying to her, “Madam Pei, you need to come with us to the police station.”

As soon as the officer finished speaking, the momentum that Madam Pei had built went downhill that very second. She turned to look at the officers and said to them, “But why, officers? I don’t think that I did anything wrong. I am a victim just like everyone.”
“That’s not a decision for you to make,” said the officer sternly. “You were the one who bought those things; who knows? You were also involved with these people.”
As soon as Madam Pei heard the officer’s words, she was stunned. What the? She didn’t even do anything! She was also fooled along with the rest, so why was it that she was suddenly being treated as a suspect!?
However, she still smiled at the officers and said to them, “You are making a mistake, officers. I truly mean no harm. I was also dragged into the mess like everyone else. Please try to believe me.”
However, no one wanted to listen to a woman who could treat the widowers of the heroes so lightly. Thus, not only was Madam Pei dragged away, but she was also dragged after being handcuffed.
“AHH!! What do you think you are doing!? Do you know who I am?”
