Chapter 196: Luo Ziyi Gives Order To Retreat
Wang Li’s eyes narrowed as he clashed swords with Luo Ziyi, the fierce captain of the Black Lion Guards. “Why has the Lin Family attacked us? What wrong have we done to warrant such aggression?” he demanded, his voice a mixture of curiosity and frustration.
Luo Ziyi’s gaze remained cold, her strikes unyielding. “It’s not a matter of right or wrong. This is an order from Lin Yin, a direct heir of the Lin Family. The Three Peaks Alliance must be destroyed so that the Lin Family can settle and become a major force on this island.”
Wang Li sighed, shaking his head. “So, it’s all about power and control.”
“Indeed,” Luo Ziyi replied, her tone icy. “Now, prepare yourself!”
Their swords clashed with renewed intensity. Wang Li’s movements were fluid, each strike precise and powerful. “Draconic Flame Burst!” he shouted, his sword blazing with Yang energy. The attack connected, and he subtly infused his Draconic Yang Energy into Luo Ziyi’s body.
Luo Ziyi countered with a fierce determination, her techniques a testament to her mastery of the Lin Family’s arts. “Lion’s Roar!” she yelled, a wave of lightning and flame energy erupting from her blade. She fought with all her might, her Lion Nascent Soul roaring within her, but Wang Li’s power was overwhelming.
“Phoenix Feather Slash!” Wang Li’s blade danced with fiery grace, striking with deadly precision. Each clash of their swords sent shockwaves through the battlefield, the sheer force of their battle drawing the attention of both sides.
Luo Ziyi’s heart raced. This was the first time she had faced such a formidable opponent, especially one so young. “Black Lion Guards, form the Thunderstorm Formation!” she ordered, seeking the assistance of her elite warriors.
The Black Lion Guards moved with precision, forming a tight circle around Wang Li. “Thunderstrike!” they chanted in unison, their combined energy creating a massive bolt of lightning aimed at Wang Li.
“Dragon’s Wrath!” Wang Li countered, his sword glowing with draconic energy. He deflected the lightning, his Yang energy burning through the demonic defenses of the Black Lion Guards. Despite their efforts, they couldn’t overpower him.
Luo Ziyi charged up her most powerful attack. “Inferno Lion’s Fury!” she cried, her blade engulfed in a roaring flame. She swung with all her might, but Wang Li met her strike head-on, their swords clashing in a burst of energy.
Despite her best efforts, Luo Ziyi found herself slowly succumbing to Wang Li’s power. Her body was suffering from the constant infusion of his Draconic Yang Energy, weakening her with each clash. The Black Lion Guards were falling one by one, their numbers dwindling as Wang Li remained unscathed.
Elsewhere on the battlefield, the battle raged on. Palace Mistress Jiu Lan and Elder Ming Yue continued their assault on Baimo Zunzhe. “Willow Vortex!” Jiu Lan called, creating a swirling mass of energy that trapped the undead warriors. “Bone Shards!” Baimo Zunzhe retaliated, but Ming Yue blocked her attack with a barrier of wood energy.
Gao Ming and Lan Xue faced off against Hei Ying and his elder. “Ocean’s Wrath!” Gao Ming unleashed a torrent of water, crashing into the enemy. Hei Ying’s shadow techniques were swift, but Lan Xue’s water barriers deflected his attacks. “Shadow Strike!” Hei Ying attacked again, but Gao Ming countered. “Aqua Blade!” Her sword extended, cutting through the shadows and striking Hei Ying.
Xia Bingling, Liu Xue, and Shi Feiyan fought valiantly. Xia Bingling’s ice attacks froze the enemies in their tracks. “Ice Shard Storm!” she yelled, sending a barrage of ice shards at her foes. Liu Xue’s “Lotus Dance” and Shi Feiyan’s “Serpent’s Embrace” combined to create a devastating wave of energy that swept through the battlefield.

Among the lower ranks, the battle was equally fierce. Wang Xiangyi, Matriarch Song Jingyan, and the elders of the Wang, Song, and Xia families fought valiantly. Wang Xiangyi’s graceful movements and deadly strikes cut down the enemies approaching her. Lin Yun watched her, feeling a mix of admiration and frustration.
Despite the fierce resistance, the Lin Family and their demonic allies were being pushed back. Luo Ziyi saw the tide turning and knew they had to retreat to preserve their forces.
“Retreat!” she commanded, her voice cutting through the chaos. “All forces, retreat now!”
The Lin Family, the Black Lion Guards, and the members of the White Bone Sect and Shadow Blade Sect began to withdraw, their retreat covered by desperate last-ditch efforts. Despite the best efforts of Wang Li, Jiu Lan, Gao Ming, and the rest of the Three Peaks Alliance, they couldn’t prevent the escape.
As Luo Ziyi and her forces retreated, Wang Li watched them go, a knowing smile playing on his lips. The Draconic Yang Energy he had subtly infused into Luo Ziyi’s body would allow him to track her.
As the battlefield quieted, the warriors of the Three Peaks Alliance began to regroup.
“We did it,” Wang Li said, a mixture of relief and determination in his voice. “But this is just the beginning. We must stay vigilant.”
Luo Ziyi and her forces retreated into the shadows, unaware of the true extent of Wang Li’s plan. The battle had been fierce, but the war was far from over.
Wang Li convened a meeting with his close allies in a grand hall adorned with banners and symbols of the Three Peaks Alliance. The air was thick with the lingering energy of their recent battle. As he entered, he saw his cousin Wang Xiangyi, Matriarch Xia Bingling, Matriarch Song Jingyan, Palace Mistress Jiu Lan, and Palace Mistress Gao Ming already seated, waiting for him.
“Thank you all for gathering so promptly,” Wang Li began, his voice steady but tinged with the weight of their recent conflict. “We must assess our casualties and plan our next moves.”
Wang Xiangyi, a striking beauty with an air of confidence, was the first to speak. “Cousin Li, the Wang Family sustained significant losses. We lost thirty-seven Core Formation cultivators and seven Nascent Soul cultivators. The injured number in the hundreds, but they are receiving treatment as we speak.”
Xia Bingling, her expression somber, followed. “The Xia Family fared slightly better, but we still lost twenty-five Core Formation cultivators and five Nascent Soul cultivators. Our warriors fought bravely, but the enemy was relentless.”
Song Jingyan, regal and composed, added, “The Song Family’s losses include twenty Core Formation cultivators and three Nascent Soul cultivators. Our elders are tending to the wounded, but we will need time to recover.”
Palace Mistress Jiu Lan, her serene demeanor hiding the toll of battle, reported, “The Jade Lotus Palace lost fifteen disciples and three elders. Many more are injured, but we are doing our best to heal them.”
Gao Ming, her eyes reflecting determination, stated, “The Emerald Sea Palace suffered similar losses: twelve disciples and two elders. Our healers are working tirelessly to mend the wounds of our sisters.”
Wang Li bowed lightly to Jiu Lan and Gao Ming. “Your support today was crucial. I will provide rare healing pellets to aid your disciples and elders in their recovery. Additionally, I will send dozens of bottles of Nascent Soul Condensation Pellets as a token of our gratitude. The other rewards I promised will be delivered to your sects soon.”
Jiu Lan and Gao Ming exchanged smiles, bowing in return. “We are allies, Patriarch Wang. It is our duty to stand by you,” Jiu Lan said softly.
Gao Ming nodded in agreement. “Indeed. We are stronger together.”
After a few more moments of discussion, they all dispersed. Jiu Lan led the beautiful disciples and elders of the Jade Lotus Palace to the quarters assigned to them within the Three Peaks Alliance base. Gao Ming did the same with the Emerald Sea Palace disciples and elders.
Once they were gone, Xia Bingling and Song Jingyan also departed to handle matters within their respective families. Wang Li turned to his cousin. “Xiangyi, please oversee the affairs of the Wang Family. I need to take a walk and clear my mind.”
Xiangyi nodded, her concern evident. “Be careful, Li,” she whispered, squeezing his hand briefly before heading off to attend to her duties.
Wang Li left the territory of the Three Peaks Alliance, flying on his sword towards the hideout of the Lin Family. He traveled for days, following the faint trail of the Draconic Yang Energy he had infused into Luo Ziyi’s body. Finally, he reached a secluded area hidden behind layers of intricate illusionary and barrier formations.
‘These formations are quite intricate,’ Wang Li thought to himself, examining the barriers closely. ‘The Phantom Veil Formation, the Mirage Cloak Array, and the Celestial Barrier Formation are all well-crafted.’
However, a sly smile crept across his face. ‘Unfortunately, these barriers are useless against me.’
Utilizing his Yin Attribute in conjunction with his Phoenix Nascent Spirit, Wang Li summoned dark shadow energy. This energy allowed him to become intangible and pass through the barriers without detection. Few formations in the world could detect shadows separately, and these were not among them.
With a sly grin, he slipped through the barriers and headed towards Luo Ziyi’s tent. Inside, she lay on her bed, her large breasts squished against the mattress. A gorgeous healer of the Black Lion Guards stood beside her, infusing healing energy into her body through a massage.
