Harem Developing Villain - Chapter 24
Chapter 24: Breaking Barriers
All around him, the disciples of the Jade Lotus Palace gasped in astonishment, their eyes wide with surprise and delight. But amidst their jubilation, Wang Li noticed the seething anger on the faces of the Shadow Blade Sect members.
‘Looks like I’ve stirred up a hornet’s nest,’ Wang Li thought wryly, darting a glance towards the now furious assassins.
Without wasting a moment, he slipped out of the chamber, his heart racing with determination. His next destination was clear – the Western Chamber where his cousin Wang Xiangyi and the members of the Golden Bell Temple were trapped.
As Wang Li hurried towards the Western Chamber, he could hear the sounds of battle echoing through the labyrinthine passages of the mine. Clashes of swords, explosions of energy, and shouts of defiance filled the air, driving him forward with renewed urgency.
As he approached the Western Chamber, Wang Li’s heart clenched with worry for Wang Xiangyi. He knew she was strong, but facing the unknown dangers lurking within the chamber filled him with a sense of unease.
‘Hang in there, Xiangyi. I’m coming for you,’ he silently vowed, pushing himself to move faster.
Meanwhile, back in the Eastern Chamber, the disciples of the Jade Lotus Palace wasted no time in seizing the opportunity provided by Wang Li’s daring move. Led by the graceful Liu Xue, they swiftly made their escape, their movements fluid and coordinated.
“Quickly, follow me!” Liu Xue commanded, her voice ringing out with authority as she led her comrades towards the chamber’s exit.
The Shadow Blade Sect members, however, were hot on their heels, their anger fueling their pursuit. With swords drawn and faces twisted in fury, they unleashed a barrage of attacks at the retreating disciples.
But the disciples of the Jade Lotus Palace were prepared. With practiced precision, they deflected the incoming strikes, their movements a blur of speed and grace.
“We won’t let them catch up to us!” one of the disciples shouted, her voice tinged with determination as she hurled a volley of explosive talismans at their pursuers.
The talismans erupted in blinding flashes of light and deafening explosions, causing chaos among the Shadow Blade Sect members. Disoriented and rattled, they stumbled backwards, their advance momentarily halted.
Liu Xue seized the opportunity, rallying her comrades to press on towards safety. With renewed resolve, they sprinted towards the exit, their hearts pounding with adrenaline-fueled determination.
Meanwhile, Wang Li’s heart pounded with urgency as he neared the barrier separating him from his cousin and the members of the Golden Bell Temple. He could feel the tension in the air, the weight of their precarious situation bearing down on him.
“Just a little closer,” he muttered to himself, his eyes fixed on the shimmering red barrier ahead.

As he reached the barrier, he glanced around, ensuring no enemies lurked nearby. With a determined breath, he activated his Heavenly Fate Pupils, scanning the barrier for its weakest point.
‘Come on, show me where you’re vulnerable,’ he thought, his gaze flickering over the barrier’s surface.
And then, like a flicker of light in the darkness, he spotted it—the faintest glimmer of weakness, a flaw in the otherwise impenetrable barrier.
“There,” he whispered triumphantly, his lips curling into a determined smile.
With a swift motion, he unleashed his attack, channeling his energy into a focused strike aimed directly at the barrier’s weak point. The barrier quivered under the force of his attack before finally shattering into a shower of red sparks.
Inside the Western Chamber, Wang Xiangyi and the members of the Golden Bell Temple fought with all their might against the Blood Chain Sect. Swords clashed, spells crackled, and the air buzzed with energy as they battled for their lives.
Wang Xiangyi’s heart raced as she dodged a flurry of blows, her mind racing with thoughts of escape.
‘We need to get out of here,’ she thought, her eyes scanning the chamber for any sign of weakness in the barrier that sealed them in.
But before she could formulate a plan, she heard a commotion outside the chamber—a sound of shattering barriers and raised voices.
“What’s happening?” one of the temple disciples exclaimed, her voice tinged with hope.
Wang Xiangyi’s heart skipped a beat as realization dawned on her. Could it be? Had someone broken through the barrier?
As the chamber’s entrance burst open, Wang Li stood before them, his figure bathed in the soft glow of victory.
“Li!” Wang Xiangyi cried out in relief, her eyes wide with astonishment.
“Xiangyi, I’m here to get you out,” Wang Li said, his voice filled with determination.
With a nod of understanding, Wang Xiangyi rallied all disciples of Golden Bell Temple.
“Let’s go!” she called out, her voice ringing with resolve.
The members of the Golden Bell Temple wasted no time, quickly following Liang Chen as he led them out of the chamber. Behind them, the Blood Chain Sect’s members pursued with ferocious determination, their eyes ablaze with malice.
“Keep moving! Don’t let them catch up!” Liang Chen’s voice rang out, his words fueling his comrades’ resolve.
As Wang Li and Wang Xiangyi found a secluded spot to rest and replenish their energies, they sat down amidst the chaos of the mine, surrounded by the sounds of distant battles echoing through the tunnels.
Wang Li handed Wang Xiangyi a few spiritual pellets, offering her a reassuring smile. “Here, Xiangyi. These should help restore your energy,” he said gently, his eyes reflecting concern for his cousin’s well-being.
Wang Xiangyi accepted the pellets gratefully, nodding her thanks. “Thank you, Li,” she replied softly, her voice tinged with exhaustion.
Taking a moment to catch their breath, Wang Li reached out to his cousin, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.
“Xiangyi, you don’t have to push yourself too hard against the Blood Chain Sect,” he said earnestly, his gaze meeting hers. “Just focus on keeping yourself and Liang Chen safe. If things get too dangerous, prioritize escape over confrontation.”
Wang Xiangyi looked at Wang Li, her eyes reflecting gratitude for his words of wisdom. “I understand, Li,” she replied, her voice steady with determination.
With a nod of reassurance, Wang Li continued, “And don’t hold back on using your talismans. We need every advantage we can get in this situation. Your safety is the most important thing.”
Wang Xiangyi nodded in agreement, a sense of relief washing over her.
With their conversation concluded, Wang Li rose to his feet, his gaze shifting towards the eastern side of the Spiritual Mine where the disciples of the Jade Lotus Palace clashed with the Shadow Blade Sect.
“I need to go check on Liu Xue and her disciples,” he said, determination flickering in his eyes.
Wang Xiangyi nodded in understanding, her expression serious yet resolute. “Be careful, Li. We’ll meet up once you’re done,” she said, her voice filled with concern.
With a nod of acknowledgment, Wang Li set off towards the ongoing battle, his senses on high alert as he approached the fray. Instead of immediately jumping into the fight, he hung back, observing the clash from a safe distance.
From his vantage point, Wang Li watched as Liu Xue and her disciples engaged in a fierce struggle against the Shadow Blade Sect, their movements fluid and precise. He noted the tactics employed by both sides, analyzing their strengths and weaknesses with a critical eye.
As he continued to watch, Wang Li remained vigilant, ready to intervene if the situation called for it. But for now, he bid his time, strategizing his approach and waiting for the perfect moment to make his move.
As the battle continued to go on, there was something Wang Li hadn’t anticipated. And this was the appearance of his adversary, Ye Fan, in this Spiritual Mine.
At this moment, as Ye Fan made his way through the labyrinthine passages of the Spiritual Mine, his mind churned with conflicting thoughts. He had been ordered by his master, Elder Hu, to support the disciples of the Azure Peak Sect in their battle against the Demonic Cultivators.
It wasn’t a mission Ye Fan had been particularly enthusiastic about, but the prospect of encountering beautiful disciples from the Jade Lotus Palace had piqued his interest.
“Guess I’ll have to make the best of it,” he murmured, his steps quickening with anticipation.
Upon hearing that even the renowned Jade Lotus Palace had dispatched their disciples, Ye Fan couldn’t resist the opportunity to showcase his prowess. After all, saving beauties was one of his favorite pastimes, and he relished the chance to play the hero.
With a determined gleam in his eyes, Ye Fan pressed forward, his path leading him towards the Northern Chamber where the disciples of the Crimson Rock Sect and the Emerald Sea Palace clashed with the formidable Iron Hammer Sect.
Stopping before the array barrier that sealed off the chamber, Ye Fan knew that breaking through the barrier separating him from the battle would require his most potent technique– the Five-Elemental Annihilation Fist.
With a deep breath, Ye Fan focused his energy, channeling the power of his unique Five-Elemental Physique. Drawing upon the elemental energies coursing through his veins, he unleashed the full force of the Five-Elemental Annihilation Fist—a devastating technique capable of shattering barriers and overpowering opponents with its raw elemental power.
As he struck the barrier with his fist, a surge of elemental energy erupted forth, crackling with the force of a raging tempest. The barrier trembled under the onslaught, its defenses crumbling before the sheer might of Ye Fan’s technique.
With a triumphant grin, Ye Fan watched as the barrier shattered into countless shards, clearing the way for him to enter the fray.
“Time to show them what I’m made of,” he muttered, his confidence brimming as he stepped through the barrier and into the heart of battle.
