Chapter 95: Mao Caiwei Meets Ye Fan Reluctantly
“Enough of tears,” Mao Caiwei declared, her voice firm yet laced with a newfound resolve. “We won’t let Ye Fan continue his depravity any longer. If you truly wish to escape this nightmare, you must listen closely.”
The three women, eyes red-rimmed and faces etched with despair, looked up at her, a flicker of hope sparking within their tear-filled eyes.
“There is a way,” Mao Caiwei continued, reaching into her robes and producing a small, intricately woven pouch. With a flourish, she opened it, revealing several jade discs that pulsed with a faint inner light. “These are Vision Recording Stones,” she explained, handing them to the women. “They capture not only sights and sounds, but even traces of spiritual energy.”
A glimmer of understanding dawned on their faces. “But what are we supposed to do with them?” one of the women cautiously asked.
Mao Caiwei leaned closer, her voice dropping to a low whisper. “Find others,” she said, her eyes glinting with determination. “Find the women who share your anger, who yearn for justice against Ye Fan. Spread these stones amongst them. Record him. Record him at all times – his actions, his words, everything.”
Her words carried the weight of a desperate plea. “A trusted source,” she continued, her voice dropping even lower, “has revealed the horrifying truth about Ye Fan. He is not who he seems.” He’s the very demon who attacked our sect, the one who murdered Sect Leader Huang!”
Gasps escaped their lips, their faces etched with disbelief and horror. Never in their wildest dreams had they suspected Ye Fan of such a heinous act.
“He… he practices a forbidden Demonic Body Cultivation Technique,” Mao Caiwei continued, her voice laced with disgust. “It allows him to mask his true nature, to deceive even those with powerful cultivation bases.”
“But… why?” one of the women managed to choke out.
“That’s something we may never know,” Mao Caiwei admitted. “However, these stones offer us a chance to expose him. You need to record Ye Fan, every interaction, every conversation. He might slip up, reveal his true form in a moment of anger or arrogance. The stones will capture it all. Once we have such a recording, we can expose him to the world.”
The weight of this plan settled heavily upon them. It was a dangerous undertaking, but the alternative – remaining at Ye Fan’s mercy – was far worse. They had all witnessed his darkness firsthand. The choice was clear.
“We’re in,” said the second woman, her voice resolute. “We’ll help you expose this demon.”
The other two women nodded in agreement, their eyes burning with newfound determination. Together, they would weave a web of evidence, capturing the truth on their Vision Recording Stones.
It was a gamble, but one they were willing to take to bring Ye Fan’s reign of terror to an end.
Later that day, Mao Caiwei and Liu Xue found themselves back in their assigned guest quarters. Thanks to Su Yuerong’s good relationship with Wang Li, they had been provided with comfortable lodgings located on the peak of Second Elder Su.

As soon as the door shut behind them, Mao Caiwei let out a relieved sigh. The weight of the day’s revelations pressed heavily upon her. But amidst the anxiety, a flicker of hope remained.
Dawn arrived, painting the sky with streaks of vibrant orange and pink. As the sun bathed the Azure Peak Sect in its golden light, an unexpected visitor arrived at Second Elder Su’s peak. It was none other than Ye Fan himself. News of Liu Xue and Mao Caiwei’s presence had reached him, piquing his interest.
Here were two stunning beauties, one a Core Disciple from the prestigious Jade Lotus Palace, the other a former Stone Mountain Sect disciple now recruited into their ranks. Ye Fan, a man known for his lecherous tendencies, saw this as an opportunity not to be missed. Perhaps fate was offering him another chance with these captivating women.
Driven by his desires, Ye Fan approached Second Elder Su, requesting an audience with Liu Xue and Mao Caiwei. The news traveled quickly via a communication talisman, landing directly in the guest quarters where the two women resided.
Surprise flickered across Mao Caiwei’s face. She instinctively wanted to decline, to avoid any interaction with the man who had caused her so much pain. However, Liu Xue saw the bigger picture.
“We cannot refuse,” she whispered, her voice laced with reason. “It would only arouse suspicion. Ye Fan still enjoys a reputation as a hero. Denying him an audience would send the wrong message.”
Mao Caiwei chewed on her lower lip, weighing the risks. Finally, she conceded with a small nod. Liu Xue, understanding her friend’s apprehension, sent a reply to Second Elder Su, informing him of their willingness to meet with Ye Fan.
The moment the message reached Second Elder Su, he relayed it to Ye Fan. The Elder had heard rumors of Ye Fan’s liaisons with the female disciples of the Azure Peak Sect, but as long as it didn’t disrupt the harmony of his sect, he saw no reason to intervene.
A few minutes later, Mao Caiwei and Liu Xue arrived at the designated hall, their faces betraying a carefully constructed mix of emotions. Liu Xue remained stoic, her cool exterior masking any internal turmoil. Mao Caiwei, however, had donned a facade of feigned happiness. Stepping forward, she offered a shallow bow to Ye Fan.
“Senior Brother Ye,” she greeted him, her voice sugary sweet. “Thank you for your kindness in bringing our former Stone Mountain Sect sisters under the wing of the Azure Peak Sect. You are truly a hero.”
Ye Fan beamed at her praise. Her words, laced with a hint of gratitude, fueled his ego. He preened under her attention, readily accepting the credit.
“It was simply my duty, Junior Sister Mao,” he replied, his voice dripping with false sincerity. “As a disciple of a righteous sect like the Azure Peak Sect, it is our responsibility to offer aid to those in need.”
Mao Caiwei bit back a scathing retort. She loathed his self-righteous facade, but for now, she had to play along. The plan was in motion, and every interaction, every word spoken, would be a piece of the puzzle they were building – a puzzle that would ultimately expose Ye Fan’s true nature.
Liu Xue remained silent, her sharp eyes observing every flicker of emotion on Ye Fan’s face. She was a keen observer, adept at picking up on the tiniest detail that might betray his true intentions.
The conversation continued, a twisted dance of pretense and deceit. Mao Caiwei showered Ye Fan with compliments, feigning ignorance about the darkness he harbored within.
Relief washed over Mao Caiwei and Liu Xue as they retreated back to their assigned guest quarters. The encounter with Ye Fan had been a trial by fire, a test of their composure.
“You did well, Caiwei,” Liu Xue praised, her voice laced with admiration. “Your performance was flawless. Not a hint of suspicion crossed his face.”
Mao Caiwei gave a small nod, a shudder running down her spine. The charade had been exhausting, but she knew it was necessary. Yet, the memory of Ye Fan’s smug grin and self-righteous pronouncements fueled a burning desire for revenge within her.
“We should leave,” she declared, her voice gaining strength. “Now that we’ve alerted our former sisters and provided them with the Vision Recording Stones, there’s no need to remain here.”
Liu Xue considered this for a moment, her brows furrowed in thought. “A wise decision,” she agreed finally. “However, before we depart, we should notify Wang Li of our success.”
They spent the next hour crafting a concise communication talisman addressed to Xia Qingwu, detailing their meeting with the former Stone Mountain Sect disciples and the distribution of the recording stones. With a final flourish, Liu Xue sent the talisman on its way, a sense of satisfaction settling upon them both.
As night painted the Azure Peak Sect in shades of inky black, Mao Caiwei and Liu Xue slipped away unnoticed, their journey back to the Jade Lotus Palace cloaked in secrecy.
News traveled fast, especially when it involved a Core Disciple of the Jade Lotus Palace. The next day, Ye Fan learned of their departure. A flicker of irritation crossed his face, replaced quickly by a predatory grin. “They’ll be back,” he mused, a hint of arrogance in his voice. “And when they are, I’ll ensure they fall under my charm.”
His attention had already shifted towards a new goal – leading the Azure Peak Sect’s forces in the upcoming crusade against the White Bone Sect.
A dark cloud hung over the cultivation world. The White Bone Sect, a notorious demonic sect, had constructed a monstrous altar fueled by human sacrifices and twisted demonic arts. This nefarious creation aimed to amplify the power of their disciples and elders, posing a significant threat to the righteous sects.
Five major righteous sects – the Azure Peak Sect, Emerald Sea Palace, Jade Lotus Palace, Golden Bell Sect, and Crimson Rock Sect – had joined forces to combat this looming threat. Their objective: to launch a coordinated attack on the White Bone Sect and dismantle the demonic altar before it could be activated in two weeks.
