Chapter 116: Chapter 116: Sword’s favorite
Chapter 116: Yuki, The One Loved By Sword

“Die.”

Selene’s voice was like ice—absolute, merciless. She meant it. She was going to kill Elira. That intent burned bright in her eyes and laced every word.

She wanted Elira dead—for kissing her son. Her dear baby. Her Noah.

For doing something that even she… hadn’t done with Noah.

Yeah, that was the real problem. It wasn’t just the kiss itself—that was an issue, sure, but it didn’t warrant this level of killing intent.

No—the real problem was how dare Elira kiss Noah before her? Selene was supposed to be his first. His first in everything.

And if she only knew what Noah had already done with the others… well, let’s not go there.

But Elira wasn’t some pushover.

She was a Supreme.

A dragon.

And not just any dragon—a Soul Dragon.

The first and only of her kind.

So no, she wasn’t going to be underestimated. Her voice rang out—smooth, calm, unshaken.

And it wasn’t just her voice. It was layered—multiple beings speaking at once.

“Concept Activation—The Holder of Souls: Nicolas’s Burning Sun Concept.”

A sun exploded into existence above them—a burning, searing orange sun. The temperature spiked, shooting sky-high in an instant.

The frozen time and space? They started to burn instantly.

Time began to flow normally again. Space unraveled, no longer shackled.

The surrounding ice dissolved.

Elira’s body ignited in orange flames—but she was untouched. The fire only devoured the ice that had tried to freeze her.

She let out a soft sigh, eyes locking onto Selene, who was still glaring at her, eyes thirsting for blood.

‘Ah, my concept… damn, it’s been a while since I saw you use that,’ Nicolas’s voice echoed in her mind, happy that his concept was being used after such a long time.

‘Why didn’t you use my concept, dear disciple? It would’ve been enough.’

‘Shut it, old man. My concept fits this situation better.’

The argument between souls started up, but Elira had no patience for it.

‘All of you, shut up. Figure out how I can fix this without my husband getting pissed at me for hurting his mother.’

That was Elira’s true power—her concept was ridiculous. She could use the concept of any soul she possessed.

Yeah—multiple concepts, ready to go. That’s why even other Supremes didn’t mess with her lightly. And the one above respect her.

The voices stopped bickering immediately.

‘Just use my concept and imprison her.’

‘Or mine—put her to sleep.’

‘Or mine—show her that her puny ice is nothing compared to real ice.’

Elira’s eyes narrowed at that last one. ‘Watch your mouth. Don’t you dare belittle Noah’s mother.’

She might be annoyed by Selene’s attack, but that’s all it was—annoyance.

She understood Selene. And seeing her act like this, Elira realized something…

Her eyes widened.

‘Yeah… this could work.’

Unlike humans, dragons—and other big races—don’t care about incest. Hell, they do it regularly. Their bloodlines are too strong, too precious to dilute.

But for humans? A bit trickier indeed.

So—

“I can help you!” Elira blurted out.

Her thoughts had been lightning-fast—barely any time had passed for the others.

Selene and Luminara both blinked, tilting their heads, confused.

Elira took a deep breath. “I can help you with Noah. It’s obvious—you feel something more than just maternal love. But with my help, I can smooth things over, make him accept you.”

She didn’t even pause. “I’m a dragon, by the way—and in our race? This kind of thing is normal. I’m qualified to help.”

She spat it all out fast—afraid Selene might snap before hearing her out.

But she didn’t need to worry.

The moment Selene heard help, her killing intent vanished—like it had never existed.

She rushed toward Elira, eyes wide with hope.

“Really? You can help me?” she asked, breathless, excited.

That was her biggest fear. Even if she wanted Noah, what if Noah never saw her that way? What if he only saw her as his dear mother—nothing more?

That would break her completely. That’s why Elira’s kiss had made her snap. She was jealous… and scared. Scared she’d never get her chance because of her role as his mother.

But now… if she could get help—from Elira, one of his women…

‘Yes… there’s a chance.’

She smiled at Elira—radiant, like a girl meeting her new best friend. “Please, help me.”

Elira’s lips twitched. So hypocritical. But she just nodded.

Selene’s smile bloomed even brighter.

That’s all it took.

Just mention Noah—and she was yours. For good or for bad.

What a loving mother.

…

Elsewhere, in the academy—

At the training grounds.

Yuki sat cross-legged, meditating. In front of her lay her sword—a beautifully crafted katana. You could see the love and mastery in every curve of its blade.

She was deep in thought.

Back when she first created her sword technique, Phantom Severance, she’d earned a title: Sword Skill’s Weaver.

A title reserved for creating sword skills.

That meant crafting new sword techniques would come easier for her now.

And that’s what she was pondering—a new skill. She already had an illusion-type sword technique.

Even though her master had left her a full set of sword styles, Yuki was feeling greedy.

She wanted her own techniques. Her own legacy.

Something she could leave behind—or pass on to her children.

Their children. Hers and Noah’s.

Her face flushed red, like a tomato.

CLAP!

“Agh—I need to focus!” She slapped her cheeks, forcing herself back on track.

It wasn’t easy, but she managed.

And so—

“A sword skill… but what type?”

It was a shame Yuki had only sword affinity. If she had other elements, she could’ve created something truly insane by combining them.

But maybe that’s what made her unique.

She was a being of the sword. Loved by the sword. In love with the sword.

Pure. Untainted.

That’s why only she was worthy of the sword.

Even Noah—with his literal sword body, his at least S-rank sword-level body strength and durability—wasn’t worthy.

Because deep down, Noah wasn’t a swordsman. He didn’t love the sword itself—only the power it gave him.

That was the difference between him and Yuki.

And for her love and dedication to the sword—

How could the sword itself ever let her down?

The Akashic Record pinged.

{Your title “Sword Skill’s Weaver” is guiding you.}

That was it.

But that tiny nudge—

Yuki’s eyes snapped open—wide and bright. Her orange irises shifted, turning sword-shaped.

In that moment, clarity struck.

A revelation.

A ridiculous, beautiful enlightenment.

“A sword…”

“…with no form?”

Truly—a crazy thing to think.
