- Chapter 58 - 58 Chapter 58 The True Anomaly
58: Chapter 58: The True Anomaly 58: Chapter 58: The True Anomaly Chapter 58: The True Anomaly Noah and Elira sat side by side, fingers entwined, their hands locked in quiet unity.
The air around them was warm-soft, almost sacred.
A stillness that wrapped them like a blanket.
It would have stunned the world to see Elira Varnis-The Dean, the Goddess of the Arcane-reduced to a woman in love.
But here she was, looking content and delicate, like a maiden in spring.
Even Noah struggled to believe it.
Confused, he turned to her, his voice unsure.
“…Are we… together now?” Elira’s smile was gentle, teasing.
She understood his hesitation-who wouldn’t, standing next to a woman who once seemed untouchable?
“Yes, dear disciple,” she said.
“We’re together now.
And as my first man, aren’t you the lucky one?” Her teasing made his lips twitch into a crooked smile.
“This is mad… It happened so fast.
I didn’t expect this at all.” “Me neither,” she admitted softly.
Silence followed, but it wasn’t awkward-it was the silence of realization, of breaths syncing.
Then Noah stood, his expression shifting-sharpening.
“If I’m your man now,” he said, stepping closer, “then how can I allow myself to be weaker than you?” He leaned in, eyes burning with resolve.
“Isn’t it supposed to be me who protects you?” Elira smiled, eyes gleaming.
“And yet… I know you’ll catch up to me soon.
Until then-” her voice hardened with promise, “-I’ll protect you.” “Nothing will touch you.” But Noah shook his head, lips curling into something almost boyish.
“Let me face my own storms, master.
Let me struggle.
Let me bleed and claw and grow.” He grinned.
“Let me have my protagonist arc, alright?” Elira gave a soft laugh, a little reluctant-but she knew he was right.
Growth never came from safety.
“You wanted dragon blood, right?” she asked, shifting the topic.
“For Leona, yeah,” he nodded.
“I want to see what happens when she fuses with it.” Elira’s fingers snapped, and a vial of thick, dark liquid appeared in her hand.
Its presence was oppressive-almost alive.
“This is the blood of a Darkness Dragon.

Curses, shadows, corruptions… it’s perfect for your little demon.” Noah’s eyes lit up.
“That’s exactly what I needed master.” “Don’t call me ‘master’ anymore,” Elira murmured, leaning on his shoulder.
“Call me Elira.
But eventually… I want a surname.” He blinked, caught off guard-then smiled.
“Yes, Elira.” She returned the smile, satisfied.
Noah stood.
“I need to go.
Leona’s probably tired of waiting.” Elira gave him a look.
“Tonight is yours.
But you’ll come back tomorrow.” Noah chuckled.
“Actually, I can’t.
I’m taking a mission.
Been a month-I still owe five.
I need to start grinding.” Elira frowned.
“You’re dating the Dean.
If I say you pass, then you pass.” He laughed and hugged her.
Elira stiffened in surprise but quickly melted into the embrace.
“Don’t worry.
I’ll be back soon.” Then, just as suddenly, he pulled back, looked into her eyes-and kissed her softly on her lips.
And vanished.
Elira stood frozen, fingers brushing her lips.
Then she smiled.
A soft, beautiful, soul-deep smile.
“So this is love,” she whispered.
“I’m already addicted.” Before she could drift further into her thoughts- ‘You forgot about us, you know.
Should’ve introduced him.’ ‘Yeah.
But beside that, you’re dating a teenager, and no one’s questioning this?’ Nicole’s voice broke through her haze.
Elira sighed.
She was in too good a mood to argue.
“I’ll introduce you next time,” she said softly, still touching her lips.
… Noah reappeared in his room.
Leona was still kneeling, eyes snapping toward him the moment he returned.
“Master… where were you?” she asked, hesitant.
“I got you what you asked for,” Noah said, pulling out the vial.
“Dragon blood.” Silence.
Then- “W-what?” Her voice cracked with disbelief.
He couldn’t blame her.
Acquiring dragon blood was the kind of feat that belonged in stories, not real life.
“How?” she whispered, staring at the vial like it might vanish.
“Doesn’t matter,” Noah replied.
“What matters is that you’re about to become what you dreamed of-a dragon-demon hybrid.” Leona stared, frozen.
As a beast specialist, she knew.
The blood in that vial-it was real.
And potent.
“No way…” she breathed.
“It’s really…?” Noah nodded, smug.
“I told you I’d reward you.” She looked at him then-not as a slave looking at her master, but as a woman trying to understand the man in front of her.
Dangerous.
Not just strong-clever.
Calculated.
Ruthless, when needed.
Soft, when he chose to be.
The kind of man who would smile while burning down kingdoms.
If he really managed to pull this off… ‘Then maybe… serving him isn’t such a bad idea.’ Because in the end, what mattered wasn’t pride.
It was power.
Pride didn’t protect you in battle.
It didn’t feed you.
It didn’t help you survive.
Strength did.
And Noah?
He had it.
She bowed deeply.
“If you succeed… I will serve you.
Truly.” That’s how the world worked.
That’s what power did.
And Noah?
He wasn’t done yet.
‘Power… I’ll find it.
Hoard it.
Drown in it.’ ‘A goddess, a champion, whatever.
It’s only a matter of time.’ “Come,” he said.
Leona rose and stepped forward, determination in her crimson eyes.
“This won’t be painless,” he warned.
She nodded without hesitation.
Then-he raised the vial, activated his power, and whispered: “Fuse.” The blood surged into her.
She didn’t even have time to scream before a white dome erupted around her, isolating the space from sound or detection.
Noah sat back.
“Thanks, Elira,” he muttered with a smile.
Then the screams began.
Raw.
Guttural.
Agonizing.
Noah casually conjured ice to block out the worst of it.
“Yeah… definitely gonna need a pain-resistance talent,” he said to himself, half-joking.
Minutes passed.
The dome shattered.
And where Leona once stood, now knelt a new being.
Dark-haired, red-eyed, skin kissed with black scales.
Two twisted dragon-demon horns crowned her head, a tail swaying behind her.
Her presence-dark, vast, suffocating-radiated danger.
She bowed, eyes glistening with awe.
“I greet my master,” she said with reverence.
The system chimed.
[Leona’s Affection has reached 75%.] But the world had noticed.
The Akashic Records stirred.
