Chapter 112: Strange Feelings
“WHAT──?!”
Nadia took several steps back as her delicate ears twitched for reasons even she didn’t understand.
Her arms shot across her chest to hug herself tightly as she tried to shield her breasts from Scott’s increasingly curious stare.
Her pretty face was painted red with shame.
“H-, How can you say something like that?!”
She stammered, glaring at him as if he’d just set fire to her entire sense of dignity.
Scott tilted his head, genuinely puzzled.
“Hm? What’s the big deal? I’m not wrong, though. I mean, I don’t even look at a woman’s chest unless I have a really good reason to. And if I noticed yours, that probably means you always wear a bra and just… didn’t today. Strange.”
He stroked his chin thoughtfully and his eyes narrowed as if piecing together an unsolvable puzzle.
“So… why?”
He asked, leaning forward slightly as his eyes shifted back to Nadia, who still looked as though she wanted the earth to swallow her whole.
Her embarrassment deepened.
“I-, I… it’s not because of you!”
She blurted, though her voice cracked under the pressure.
Scott smirked, then leaned even closer to close the gap between them.
His tone turned low, even somewhat teasing.
“Oh? If it’s not because of me, then why are you suddenly so open to hanging out with me, talking to me, letting me lick your fingers—”
“That was ONE TIME!”
Nadia snapped, but the intensifying blush of her face completely sold her out.
She looked like a chili pepper soup.
“—and going out to the movies?”
Scott continued without wasting a second.
He leaned even closer.
“And now all this… No bra, no backup. What’s really going on, Nadia?”
Her breath hitched.
She tightened her arms around her chest as she desperately avoided his gaze, but the warmth in his eyes was like a gravitational pull. She could feel it—his presence—too close for comfort yet oddly comforting. Her mind raced, and her heart hammered against her ribcage.
『Hnn~ what do I do now…?』
For some reason, despite the utter humiliation, she didn’t want him to step back.
“Y-, You’re so full of yourself!”
She hissed, trying to regain some control of the situation. But her voice trembled, and she bit her lower lip, as if to physically hold back words that desperately wanted to escape.

Scott raised an eyebrow.
He crossed his arms while keeping his posture casual but his eyes sharp.
“You’re avoiding the question… if you like me, I’ll be honest—I’m flattered.”
Nadia’s head snapped up at his words.
Shock was written in her flashlight-wide eyes.
“I-I don’t!”
She sputtered, though the heat in her tender cheeks told a different story.
Scott shrugged, smirking as if he’d already won.
“You’re acting like you do. And honestly? As much as I complain about all these women giving me attention, it’s… nice to know someone sees me. Not as Nightwatch, but just… me. I always appreciate that.”
Nadia blinked.
For a moment, her walls cracked.
She tightened her grip on herself, feeling the authenticity of his words sink into her chest.
“You don’t get it…”
Scott’s expression softened. “Then help me get it.”
Nadia looked down as her lips trembled as she fought the storm of emotions swirling inside her.
『I don’t know what I’m doing anymore…』
She could feel her mind drowning in doubts.
『I’m always the responsible one. The one everyone counts on. The one who… who puts everyone else first. But sometimes, I just… I want more. I want to live for myself for once, you know?』
She tightened her arms around her body as though to hold herself together.
『But it’s stupid. I can’t just change who I am. People expect too much from me. People are… they’re always expecting too much from me. And besides… Emma’s my best friend. I don’t want to hurt her. I can’t do that to her. But at the same time…』
She bit her lip again as the words stuck in her throat.
She wanted to speak up… badly.
Scott stepped closer, gently taking her right hand in his.
His touch was warm, grounding.
“I get it…” he said softly.
Nadia looked up at him as her eyes widened with surprise.
Scott leaned even closer to Nadia as his breath grazed her flushed cheeks. His tone softened, no longer teasing, but steady and earnest.
“Yunno, I don’t know a lot about you. That’s probably my fault… I’ve never really asked, have I?”
“Huh?”
Nadia was shocked by the shift in his demeanor.
She hesitated, unsure whether to look into his piercing eyes or avoid them altogether.
Either way, Scott didn’t mind.
He just continued talking instead.
“I’m not a fan of getting too close to people. It’s… complicated. Let’s just say I’ve learned the hard way that when you trust someone too much, they can tear you apart.”
He smiled faintly, but it didn’t reach his eyes.
“People have their faults. That’s normal, right? But you…”
His gaze locked onto hers and the intensity made her feel like the only person in the world.
“You don’t seem to have any. And that… feels wrong.”
Nadia furrowed her brow, unsure whether to be insulted or flattered.
“Huh? What are you even talking about?”
Scott placed a finger gently over her lips, silencing her before she could spiral into more questions.
“Shhh…”
His tone was soothing──so much so that it made Nadia feel “good” in a really questionable way.
The feel of his finger against her lips.
The fact he was taking control.
Even the deepness of his voice and how much command that came with it… they all felt nice.
“When someone doesn’t have faults, there’s no room for improvement. And when there’s no room for improvement, life becomes… monotonous. Dull.”
Nadia frowned as she shifted her head away to free her lips from his touch.
“What gives you the right to assume you know anything about me? Or my family?”
Her voice was sharp, but there was a tremor beneath it, as if she was trying to hold something back.
“And besides…”
She looked away in sadness.
“You’d rather go around with so many others than watch one stupid movie with me, right? But trust me… I’m not complaining at all, okay? I know just how little I’m worth to you, and trust me it’s… it’s normal…”
Scott didn’t say a word.
He simply smiled at her, but not in the way she expected.
It wasn’t smug or teasing.
It was gentle, warm, and patient.
Perhaps… the most beautiful smile she’d ever seen.
Her heart skipped a beat.
She narrowed her eyes.
“Why are you smiling at me like that?”
She tried to come off as rude or at least a little offended, but instead, she just sounded like a clueless foreigner struggling with English.
Her voice and the way she carried herself were just too adorable for Scott. Still, he somehow managed to keep his attention fixed on her beautiful eyes without losing focus.
“Do you think you can use those… th-, those beautiful eyes—or that perfect smile—or your stupid, glowing skin and effortless… bone structure…”
Her words trailed off and her face heated up as she fumbled through her accusations.
“Uh…”
She averted her gaze, feeling like every second she looked at him, his smile grew even more mesmerizing.
“Enough of this!”
She tried to yank her wrist free from his grasp, but Scott tightened his hold and pulled her forward and into his arms.
Nadia gasped as her face collided with his chest and her entire body stiffened. His scent enveloped her—clean, warm, with a hint of something uniquely him. His hand rested on the back of her head, stroking her hair gently.
Her wide eyes stared at nothing.
All she could feel was confusion and emotions.
“You probably did all this…”
Scott murmured softly.
“… because you’re looking for an excuse to experience something you’ve never been allowed to. Right?”
Her breath hitched.
“N-, No… I don’t know what you’re talking about…”
Again, she tried to sound rude, but it just didn’t come out the way she wanted──she always sounded polite, sweet, and most of all… angelic.
Scott chuckled lightly.
“You probably woke up one morning as a kid and were told, ‘You’re going to marry your cousin, and that’s final.’ You didn’t get a say in it, did you? You didn’t get to enjoy silly crushes, or falling in love, or even making mistakes.”
He paused as his hand still stroked her soft hair.
“To be right for whoever you’re meant to marry, you were probably forced to be perfect. But that’s not fair… because humans can’t ever truly be perfect.”
Nadia pressed her head against his chest, harder this time. Her hands gripped his shirt tightly as tears welled up in her eyes.
『That’s… that’s all I’ve ever wanted *sniffle* for someone to really get me, yunno?』
Her fingers clawed against his back.
In that moment, she wanted more than a hug from him.
If only she could identify what it was.
Scott’s voice softened even more and the tenderness in it made her chest ache.
“It’s fine, Nadia. You’re fine.”
Her tears spilled over as she buried her face deeper into him and her shoulders trembled.
From the glass pane of the hospital room door, Gwen watched silently as her face soured at the sight. She looked away after a moment, nodding faintly to herself as her expression was one of both sadness and resignation.
『Is this… the sort of love Mom said I wasn’t worthy enough to give Scott? Or is it… because I wasn’t old enough to really ever understand where he’s coming from… I want to grow into someone who can really connect with him in a way that doesn’t bring out my horrible side, and yet it’s hard to tell what that version of me would be…』
Her face soured more.
『How do I become more to him when he has so many around him… I honestly don’t know…』
Back outside, Scott gave Nadia three pats on her head.
Then, carefully, he cupped her cheeks in his hands and lifted her tear-streaked face to meet his eyes.
“You don’t have to worry about that anymore. If you still want us to be close, I’ll make sure it happens. I’ll make sure you get to experience everything you want. Whatever you want us to do together, I’ll do it without even asking any of those teasing questions. Alright?”
Nadia’s watery eyes stared into his, overwhelmed by the sincerity in his voice.
Scott leaned closer and pressed a soft, lingering kiss to her forehead. When he pulled back, he looked into her eyes again and smiled.
“Alright?”
Nadia tried desperately to speak, but all that came out was a broken, teary “N-, Nyah…” nothing else.
She swallowed the lump in her throat and nodded instead.
With that, she dove back into his chest, wrapping her arms tightly around him. Scott’s eyes widened slightly in surprise at her sudden embrace.
“Uh… Nadia…”
He stared down at her curvy body.
“Your nipples are—”
“Don’t ruin the moment…” she sniffled, cutting him off.
Scott blinked, then nodded. “Right… my bad.”
And then, he hugged her tightly, holding her as if he’d never let go.

City Hall, New York…
There was an enormous crowd,
Civilians were packed shoulder to shoulder.
Reporters jostled for better angles.
Camera drones hovered silently as their lenses trained on the stage where Mayor Benedict Johnson stood at the podium, flanked by soldiers maintaining strict security.
The Mayor adjusted his tie as his eyes scanned the crowd with absolute calmness.
On the left side of the crowd, away from the spotlight, stood Rope Girl and her team.
To the civilians, they didn’t really seem like heroes.
They came across more like superpowered cops, and the way they stayed so serious, refusing to crack even a single smile for the camera, only made that comparison feel spot on.
However, Deathmark seemed like she’d rather be anywhere else, with the way she kept her head low and lingered at the very back, deep shame on her face.
Her discomfort was clear and painful.
She looked ashamed, as though she were naked and everyone was staring at her.
On the opposite end of the stage stood Lymtos──the Chairman of the Hero Agency.
One the opposite end of the stage was an elderly man dressed in a sleek, tailored suit.
It was the Chairman of the Hero Agency, Lymtos.
Next to him stood Lady Fortress, Miss Mercury, and Pulsar.
The crowd’s attention naturally gravitated toward them as the Mayor prepared to speak.
Pulsar’s eyes roamed the scene.
She stared at Rope Girl’s team.
Leaning closer to Miss Mercury, she spoke.
“Is it just me, or does this whole setup feel… off? Like, the Chairman shouldn’t even be here for this, and Rope Girl and her team look like they’re at a funeral.”
Miss Mercury’s face tightened as she subtly shifted her gaze toward Rope Girl.
“You’re not wrong. It’s weird. And they’re staring daggers at us. Look.”
As if she could feel Miss Mercury watching her, Rope Girl turned her head slightly and shot her a sharp, deliberate side-eye before looking straight ahead again. The casual way she did it almost made Miss Mercury feel like Rope Girl saw her as nothing more than a pile of unimportant trash.
Miss Mercury clicked her tongue in irritation.
“Tch. Stupid bitch…”
Before Pulsar could respond, the Mayor cleared his throat to command everyone’s attention.
The murmurs ceased as he leaned into the microphone.
“Today marks another praiseworthy occasion.”
His voice touched every part of the plaza.
“In our darkest hour, when despair threatened to overtake us, these superheroes stood tall. They donned their colorful costumes and fought with every ounce of their strength to protect us, the people of this great city. Their courage and sacrifice embody the very promise of the Hero Agency: to shield humanity from the dangers we cannot face alone.”
He turned to Lady Fortress, Pulsar, and Miss Mercury, gesturing grandly.
“As a token of our gratitude, these three remarkable heroes will be awarded the Medal of Honor for their unshakable service and unparalleled bravery. Let this be a reminder of the love this city holds for its protectors and an encouragement to them to continue their noble work.”
The crowd erupted into applause, though not without whispers threading through the noise.
“What about Nightwatch?” someone asked.
“Yeah, wasn’t he one of the hardest fighters out there?”
“Nah, the public’ll never accept a guy like him. Garbage.”
“Have you forgotten how he looked like a literal demon in that suit of armor… I didn’t feel safe at all.”
“Oh, so now you’re saying shit like this? Piss off.”

Metro City Outskirts…
Miles away, a sleek GT-R sped down the dry earth.
Rhinoman was behind the wheel.
His grin was as wide as it was mischievous.
“Man, this ride is sweet!”
His muscular hands gripped the steering wheel like it was the Holy Grail.
In the passenger seat, Nadia sat with her arms crossed as her forehead pressed against the cool glass of the window. She tried to block out the exaggerated giggles and muffled kissing sounds coming from the backseat.
“Can you two keep it down?”
She snapped without turning around.
In the back, Scott sat sandwiched between Gwen and Brigid, who clung to him like rival vines fighting for sunlight. Gwen was curled around his right arm, while Brigid had his left, each trying to outdo the other in proximity.
“Do I take a left here, sir?”
Rhinoman asked, respectfully glancing at Scott through the rearview mirror.
Scott nodded absently, trying to keep his composure.
“Y-, Yeah… Left.”
Undeterred by this, Brigid leaned in close.
“Aww, come on, just one little peck? I promise I won’t—”
“No pecks, Brigid.”
“Jeez, but you peck friends, don’t you?”
“Sigh~ Brigid, I’m not going to let you peck the cap of my friggin’ penis, alright?”
“PLEEEAAAASEE!”
Scott turned his head away before she could finish.
Gwen smirked, then yanked him closer to her side.
“As if. If anyone’s kissing his cock, it’s definitely me. I’ve earned it. I’m his official extra girlfriend. You’re just… what? Background noise?”
Brigid’s eyes narrowed.
“Oh, real mature. At least I’m not settling for scraps. Keep being proud of that second-place trophy, blondie.”
Gwen’s grin widened.
“Well, at least I can do this.”
She suddenly reached down and grabbed Scott in a way that made Nadia’s head snap around.
Gwen’s hand was grabbing something bulging underneath his pants and the freedom she had to do that made her cheeks go hot as steam shamelessly exited her mouth.
『I wish I could touch it… raw…』
She chomped down on her lower lip, trying to hide the freaky, obsessive, monstrously aroused look that was weirdly appearing on her pretty face.
But Scott didn’t even flinch.
Brigid gasped in horror as her face went pale.
She yanked her blouse open to reveal her lacy bra.
It was the first time Scott was really seeing just how round and surprisingly big Brigid’s breasts were.
She was the same age as him but her breasts were suitable enough to drag with older women.
“That’s it! Lord Nightwatch, you can do whatever you want to me—anything—as long as it shuts this dumb blonde up! I don’t even care if you assault me like your dirty toilet rag, I’ll take it all like a good girl, nyah~ ❤️”
“Nyah?” Scott’s face squeezed.
Brigid raise a brow. “It’s an anime thing… neko girls are usually sex slaves…”
“So you want… to be my sex slave?”
“Pssssh──that’s such ‘would you rather have one dollar or two’ ass question. I wouldn’t call my self a sex slave of my Lord Nightwatch… it’s an obligation.”
“Uhm…”
Scott didn’t know how to respond.
Nadia gritted her teeth, desperate to intervene.
『Only Emma gets to do all that!』
She squeezed a fist tight.
Scott sighed as his patience thinned.
“Nadia, it’s fine. Don’t worry about it.”
Nadia hesitated, but she turned back toward the window.
Rhinoman cleared his throat awkwardly.
“So… Uh, we’re keeping this whole thing quiet, huh? Cool, cool. But maybe just a little hint about where we’re going?”
Scott leaned back, exhaling deeply.
“We’re going to our new headquarters.”
Rhinoman raised an eyebrow. “Headquarters?”
Scott’s lips curved into a small smile.
“The Overwatch Agency.”
