Chapter 132: Settled Situations, Considered Offers
The courtyard was split in two.
On one side stood Scott, Emma, Gwen, Marcus, and Dark Elf, still reeling from the madness that had just unfolded.
On the other side was Bella Trevors, seated on a luxurious folding chair like a queen receiving emergency treatment from her personal bodyguards.
One carefully fixed her disheveled blonde hair while another dabbed at the tiny scratches on her flawless skin with a cotton ball.
Bella hissed at the slight sting and glared murderously at Emma and Gwen from across the courtyard.
Her teeth clenched.
“Tch… That freaky, masochistic bitch…”
She muttered under her breath.
“They think they can mess with me and get away with it? Heh… I’ll get them next time. And it’ll be way worse.”
Morgan, who had been standing beside her, let out a long sigh, his hand adjusting his pristine bowtie. He glanced at her with that ever-present, mild disappointment only a seasoned butler could master.
“Miss… this truly isn’t how a lady of your stature should behave.”
Bella rolled her eyes.
She already knew where this was going.
Morgan continued with a calm yet firm tone.
“Fighting with other women, especially as a high-profile heiress, is utterly disgraceful. Imagine if your father heard about this?”
Bella scoffed, arms crossed.
“If Daddy found out that someone was fighting…”
Her lips curled into a smirk.
“And even hurt his precious, little angel… they’d be dead by now.”
Morgan cleared his throat.
“I don’t doubt that one bit.”
He adjusted his gloves before adding.
“But at the same time, wouldn’t it be better if you started proving the public wrong?”
Bella raised a brow. “About what?”
“That you’re not just a ‘Daddy’s girl’ who depends on him for everything.”
Her smirk faded slightly.
For a moment, she was silent. Then, with a calmness that felt almost unnatural compared to her usual haughty demeanor, she muttered…
“Not like it matters.”
Morgan’s brows furrowed slightly.
Bella continued in a quiet, partly sad voice.

“People already believe women can’t achieve anything. And then there’s me… born with every privilege imaginable. Even if I work my ass off and earn my way to the top, nobody’s gonna believe it.”
She let out a dry chuckle.
“So why not just act like a spoiled brat and save everyone the trouble?”
Morgan studied her face.
The way her fingers lightly gripped the edge of her chair, the slight tremble in her jaw, the stiffness in her shoulders.
She was trying not to sound frustrated.
Trying not to sound… hurt.
But Morgan had been by her side since she was a little girl.
He knew her better than anyone.
He smiled softly.
『She truly has worked hard.』
Regardless of her privileges… she’s earned her place.
And as long as he lived, he would make sure she had someone who acknowledged that.
If no one would give her pure, genuine respect, he made sure to do that himself.
Bella suddenly noticed his lingering gaze and shot him a side-eye.
“What?”
She muttered, glaring lightly.
“Why’re you staring at me like that?”
Morgan chuckled.
“Oh, nothing.”
He straightened his bowtie.
“I was just wondering why I even put up with all your girl drama and immaturity.”
Bella’s cheeks puffed out like an irritated tomato.
“Oh, so you wanna be like that, huh?!”
She scowled.
“What happened to you promising to be nice to me if I treated you better?!”
Morgan’s lips twitched upward.
“It’s fine… I’m just worried about you.”
Bella huffed and threw her eyes away.
“Hmph! I’m fine, thank you very much.”
The sheer sass in her voice made Morgan chuckle again.

On the other side of the courtyard…
Scott stood with Emma, Gwen, Marcus, and Dark Elf.
And while most of them were still mentally recovering from the chaos, Marcus was busy doing something else entirely.
He was staring across the courtyard at Bella Trevors.
Like a man utterly bewitched.
“Wow…”
He murmured in pure admiration.
“She’s so damn beautiful.”
Silence.
Emma and Gwen’s heads snapped toward Scott at the exact same time.
“WHAT──?!”
In an instant, the two girls shot forward, pressing right into Scott’s personal space, looking absolutely disgusted by what they just heard.
Even Scott himself felt his soul momentarily leave his body.
Meanwhile, Dark Elf continued chewing on her chips, looking completely unbothered.
Marcus still had that dreamy look in his eyes.
“I mean, just look at her. Those golden curls, that sharp glare, that elegance… She’s like a lioness.”
“More like a cat… but eh…” Dark Elf replied.
The two kept chatting like Scott wasn’t being scolded by two furious women right next to them. But honestly, was it really their problem to deal with?
Scott already knew that whenever both his women were mad at him, there was only one person who could logically fix the mess—Nadia.
『Fuck it… I haven’t seen Nadia in days. I’ve tried calling her a few times, but she won’t pick up—not even for Emma. I could really use her help right now. I guess this is what I signed up for. I was lucky enough—and unlucky enough—to end up with this harem, so I have to handle it like a man. Yeah… yeah… I’m completely screwed. Sigh~』
Just thinking about it made him exhausted.
Hands raised in an attempt to calm them down, Scott let out another exhausted sigh.
“Ladies. C-, Can we please just chill out for a second and let me explain?”
Emma visibly recoiled.
“YOU HAVE TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME!”
She screeched, almost like a banshee.
Gwen looked equally appalled.
“AFTER EVERYTHING THAT JUST HAPPENED?!”
“No. Well…”
Scott opened his mouth to reply immediately, but the words felt stuck, like they were lodged in his throat. He knew that a single poorly phrased sentence would only make things worse. His gut twisted, almost like the only way he could get the words out was by vomiting them up.
And yet… for some reason, he found himself smiling calmly.
A little too calmly.
“Look…”
He kept his voice as steady as he could manage.
“None of us here actually likes Bella Trevors—”
A hand shot up beside him.
“I do!”
Scott snapped his head toward Marcus, frowning.
“Not helping.”
Marcus just shrugged, still looking vaguely dreamy as he gazed at Bella across the courtyard. Meanwhile, Scott turned back to Gwen and Emma, who still looked like they were ready to pounce on him if he said the wrong thing.
He took a slow breath.
“If you really want her out of your lives, the best way to do that is to answer her offer and be done with it.”
Emma’s brow twitched.
“And what exactly is this ‘offer’?”
Scott’s smile didn’t waver.
“She just wants me to attend a small fancy party at The Peak. That’s all. Nothing could possibly go wrong… unless I make it go wrong.”
The shift in their demeanor was immediate.
Rather than shouting again, Emma and Gwen were surprisingly calm.
Too calm.
Emma folded her arms and looked up at him with slightly mean eyes.
“Unless you make it go wrong? Explain. Properly. And carefully.”
Her gaze was sharp, almost like she was interrogating a cheating husband.
Scott exhaled through his nose.
“Look… I’m not oblivious. I know the kind of… charm I have over women.”
He scratched the back of his head, as if the topic physically pained him.
“I don’t like to address it too much because I don’t want to sound arrogant, but personally, I’d rather not have desperate women and thirsty journalists breathing down my neck, waiting for my next move.”
He slid his hands into his pockets, tilting his head slightly as he kept his eyes on them.
“And I know Bella. She’s gonna try something romantic. And while she knows she won’t succeed with me, she does want the cameras to think there’s something special between us.”
His lips curled faintly.
“But there isn’t. And I’ll make sure of that. All I need… is to know that my two favorite women in the world have faith in me.”
He held out his arms, smiling patiently.
For a moment, Emma and Gwen looked away.
There was a brief silence—one where Scott felt like he was being judged by an invisible council.
Then, in the next instant, both of them rushed into his arms, hugging him tight.
Scott let out a soft chuckle as a peaceful smile spread across his face. He wrapped his arms around them, squeezing them close—like they were the pillows he slept with at night.
Across the courtyard, Bella saw the whole thing.
Her eye twitched.
Then she rolled her eyes so hard it looked like they might get stuck. She let out a dramatic cough, as if just seeing the three of them embracing made her want to throw up.
“Oh, please…”
She muttered as absolute sass rang from her voice.
Standing beside her, Morgan glanced at her expression—at the slight tightness of her jaw, the barely noticeable tension in her hands.
He said nothing.
But inwardly, he knew.
She didn’t just want to be in that hug.
She wanted to be the only one in that hug.
Morgan sighed, then shifted his gaze back to Scott.
He had seen every type of man try to date Bella before. And most of them were the same—thinking that acting nonchalant and narcissistic would keep her interested.
But that wasn’t it.
Morgan knew better than anyone—what the young miss truly needed wasn’t another egotistical bastard.
She needed someone honest.
Someone who would acknowledge her efforts.
Someone who would tell her the truth—not out of fear, not out of manipulation, but because they respected her.
His eyes narrowed slightly.
Perhaps… he had finally found someone suitable.
『Hmm… Scott McQueen… I see…』
━━━ ⬖ ━━━
Back in Scott’s arms, Emma and Gwen finally pulled away, though their hands lingered on his chest. They looked up at him—still partially annoyed, but softer now.
Emma sighed.
“Fine,” she muttered. “I don’t like this idea. At all.”
Gwen nodded in agreement.
Emma crossed her arms again.
“But… if sacrificing one night with us means we’ll never have to deal with that blonde bitch again, then whatever. Just get it over with.”
She huffed, then added under her breath.
“Ugh. Blondies are always so annoying.”
She suddenly paused.
Slowly, very slowly, she turned her head to the side… and made awkward eye contact with Gwen.
“Uh…” Emma cleared her throat. “No offense.”
Gwen smirked.
“None taken. I’m sure there was a time a lot of people thought I was annoying too.”
Scott chuckled. “Hm? Who in the world would hate you?”
Before she could answer, he leaned in and pressed a kiss to both their foreheads.
Emma and Gwen instantly melted—faces turning pink, lips twitching into small smiles.
Scott’s smirk deepened.
『Heh. I might’ve survived this battle, but something tells me… I just signed up for a war.』
