Kyle heard the most absurd thing known to mankind because why was he offering his wife up like she was some property?

Aiysha’s refusal to consent left much to desire, but Kyle couldn’t tell for certain if this was the case.

“You assume I’m interested…” Kyle responded. He had no plans to bulge because he understood how this would do irreversible damage should it go south.

The last thing he needed was to have her develop feelings for him as that would prove tricky and might also force him to use the Discard card he was given by his system.

“You’re a man, Kyle,” Jones said before having a seat, Kyle thought this was a test and if he accepted, Jones would have his answer.

“Why are you even offering this right now after beating my ass?” Kyle raised a brow.

“I cannot satisfy my wife sexually, I hate to admit it but that has been a problem in our marriage. And if she let it go this far with you then it is only a matter of time…”Jones paused, stopping himself from saying.

“Why ask her to sleep with another man so that you can keep her?” Kyle was confused by this thinking because he had no emotional investment towards her.

The thought of another man touching her didn’t sit right with him so why was Jones willing to gamble with the mother of kids?

“Family…” Jones responded with a defeated smile.

“… And if you don’t do it, what if someone with worse intentions does?” Jones questioned.

This was a flawed logic because marriages were built on trust and Jones had shown his distrust for his wife multiple times.

This was the consequence cheaters faced, they become paranoid because they put themselves in situations their partners found themselves in and assume how they would act in the same way their partner would.

No one ever got away with anything, there were always lasting effects on future relationships.

“You people are strange…” Kyle muttered under his breath.

“Excuse me?” Jones questioned, surprised by this response.

“It is nothing…” Kyle knew best not to air out his true thoughts or this might further complicate the situation.

“Like I said, I have no interest in your wife… And I have no idea why you would want to share her but here is a warning…” Kyle said, leaning in towards Jones until he was mere inches from his face.

“… And should the day come that I touch her, she will cease being yours. Unlike you, I do not share,” Kyle warned him and this sent a chill down Jones’ spine because the look in Kyle’s eyes was something he had never seen before.

“So should your wife put herself in a situation where I can have her, I will not hold back,” Kyle added and for some reason, Jones felt his heart thumping anxiously.

This man before him had just told him that he would take his wife if she allowed it but this was Kyle’s way of making Jones revisit what he was saying.

If he continued with this mindset, it was only a matter of time before another did this exact thing because no woman wants a man who is willing to share her in any capacity.

It might look good and she might agree to it but deep down, she would lose respect for said man.

Before the conversation could go on, Jasmine made a noise that made Kyle spring to his feet and rush to the room without hesitation.

Jones was startled by his movement but this made him curious as she trailed behind Kyle, only stopping at the entrance of the room.

“Is everything okay?” Jones asked, noticing the child on the bed. She looked a lot better than when she first came in prompting Jones to have an answer as to why his wife came here.

“She is better now,” Kyle said. Jasmine was awake but she was still feeling out of it.

Kyle allowed her to rest, he knew that taking her to the hospital would be the best course of action but there were signs of healed bruises on her body alongside other things that prevented him from doing so.

There was no doubt that child protective services would get involved and they would take her away from her brother, putting her in a system that would do more harm than good.

“Jones, I want you to think about what you want in your marriage. If you aren’t willing to cause harm to the people that wish to take her from you then I don’t think you know what it means to have a family,” Kyle said without looking at him.

Kyle was schooling Jones despite him being much older than him but Jones knew Kyle was right.

He had to get it together but part of him knew that this was the only way to level the playing field in their marriage despite him doing more than enough to make up for his past sins.

“I understand,” Jones responded but once again, there was an air of submission in his voice.

It was like they subconsciously perceived Kyle as their superior due to his superior social standing as of this moment.

“Now, want to tell me what the hell is up with Tasha?” Kyle asked. There was no way that Jones wouldn’t know about her if their relationship was as transparent as they let on.

“Man… She is trouble, my advice is to stay away from her,” Jones warned Kyle.

The conversation had been changed successfully to something they could both relate to.

“Ha! I knew you would say that” Kyle chuckled, some things never changed.

Tasha was a strange woman but there was no doubt that she was attractive, if he was going to replace Calista he needed to find someone freakier than her in that department.

She had lied to him already, the only thing that made her worth anything was her loyalty to Kyle which she had now lost.

But Kyle needed to see if Tasha was a woman he could tame in the first place.
