Chapter 65: We Can’t Meet Easily Once You Get Married
<.The Elsher residence on the island.>
Stephanie was oblivious to what happened at the port. She was currently standing in a huge cloakroom, admiring the wedding gown displayed in the walk-in wardrobe.
“This is perfect. The most perfect for me,” mused Stephanie quietly, thinking how much more beautiful she would be in her carefully selected wedding gown.
The wedding gown in the shade of gold radiated elegance and opulence, crafted from shimmering gold silk with intricate, hand-sewn embroidery. The details would catch the light with every movement.
Delicate, lace-like embellishments in soft gold thread adorned the fitted, corset-like bodice. The neckline was in a classic sweetheart shape, complemented by the off-the-shoulder sheer sleeves.
“I’ll look perfect beside Matt tomorrow!”
Squealing, Stephanie carefully grazed her right palm on the ball-gown silhouette skirt, layered with soft tulle and organza. Her fingers touched the belt of gilded pearls at the waist.
Stephanie spent months looking for the perfect wedding gown for her big day with Matthias. Fortunately, she finally found one after having private sessions with countless renowned designers.
Stephanie ditched the classic white wedding dress for a gold one. She would change into another dress at the latter half of the reception.
But, first, Stephanie wanted to see the horror on Lariette’s face once the latter saw her wedding dress. She had instructed her friends to point out how Lariette deliberately wore the same color as the bride’s wedding dress.
“Matthias will be mine, forever,” Stephanie chuckled, happy with the thought of finally being the wife of the Silvera family’s heir, “No one can steal him from me.”
Despite still holding a grudge against Lariette for the ruined dinner last week, Stephanie was still relieved because the brunette was already married to someone.
“If only we could register our marriage before or right after the ceremony,” Stephanie clicked her tongue, slightly dissatisfied with the arrangement, “I still have to wait until next week.”
Stephanie tried persuading Matthias to register their marriage at the city hall before coming to the island. Unfortunately, he said they should have the ceremony first.
Not wanting to irritate Matthias unnecessarily, Stephanie bowed her head and demurely agreed with him. Even though she had been his fiancee for years, the man hadn’t really shown her warmth.
‘I’m sleepy. Better get a shut-eye.’
Spinning on her heels, Stephanie walked out of the room. She didn’t worry about people coming inside to mess with her wedding gown because the chamber was protected with a security system.
Stephanie knew Samantha had ordered everyone involved, including Lariette and her new husband, to gather at two in the afternoon. She didn’t get much sleep last night thus, she decided to take a nap before noon.
“Young Miss Stephanie.”
Two helpers greeted Stephanie once they crossed paths in the hallway. The blond curled up her lips, showing them a bright smile.
“I’ll be resting. Tell my mom or anyone that if they’re looking for me.”
“Understood.”
The two helpers were well accustomed to Stephanie’s preferences. The young woman disliked being disturbed during her resting time.
Stephanie quickened her steps, heading to her room on the far right side of the floor. She was the only one who occupied the area while Declan, Alaric and Rafael stayed on the left side.
Humming to a melody, Stephanie couldn’t contain the overflowing of happiness from her heart. She wished tomorrow would come soon.
But, first, her birthday party.
Stephanie’s bridal party and other friends planned a birthday party for her tonight. Luckily, she managed to convince Matthias to come when he usually didn’t bother with it.
Soon, Stephanie arrived at the room. The spacious hallway was deserted from other helpers.
Pushing the door open, the short entryway connecting to the bedroom inside was revealed. Walking through the door, she closed it shut before locking it.
“My goddess.”

“…ah!”
Stephanie quickly covered her mouth when someone hugged her from behind. Her blue eyes widened, she saw a familiar face drawn with a smirk.
“Leon! What are you doing here?”
Stephanie hissed, bewilderment flickering in her eyes. She pushed the man away but he only tightened his arms around her before pulling her toward the bedroom area.
“Surprised to see me, huh?”
The man named Leon chuckled once he pushed Stephanie on the couch. The lady’s face flushed, still shocked upon seeing the man here.
“When did you come? Did you meet Eric? What if people saw you sneaking in?”
“Relax, sweetie. No one saw me,” Leon scooted closer to Stephanie, once again securing her dainty waist with his arms, “You know I’m an expert in making myself invisible.”
Stephanie scoffed. She playfully smacked Leon’s chest, earning flirty chuckles from him. She blushed under the man’s heated gaze, evidently brimming with lust.
Leon was Alaric’s close friend. He was invited to Stephanie and Matthias’ wedding.
Aside from being Alaric’s childhood friend, he was also the same man who worshipped Stephanie as if she was his only salvation[01].
Leon had been in love with Stephanie from their teen years. Unfortunately, he had to keep his feelings to himself because the lady was betrothed to Matthias.
Until one year ago.
“Baby, I missed you so much,” Leon whispered above Stephanie’s lips, his voice rumbling with a deep longing, “We can’t meet easily anymore. Let’s have some fun, shouldn’t we?”
“Well… we need to be careful. What if… umph!”
The man named Leon silenced Stephanie with a kiss, not allowing her to finish her words.
He plunged his tongue inside her mouth, seeking for her own. One of his hands secured the back of her neck while the other groped her plump buttocks.
Stephanie didn’t resist even a bit. She let Leon deepen the kiss, even arching her body to fit into his.
Over the past year, being showered by the man’s unbridling passion made Stephanie drunk and addictedâsomething Matthias failed to grant her.
Breaking the kiss, Leon skillfully removed Stephanie’s top, revealing her ample bosom covered by her red bra. He roamed his other palm underneath her skirt, toying with one side of her underwear.
“Oh…. Leon… That feels good.”
Stephanie moaned when Leon left a heated trail of kisses on her body. She shuddered in pleasure the more the man played with her sensitive skin.
The thought of marrying Matthias, swearing herself to be loyal to him left Stephanie’s mind as she melted under Leon’s touches.
