Chapter 483: Morning breakfast!
Zhao Tian received the uniform from the receptionist and looked at the white robes with brown designs etched over them.
The three of them stepped away from the reception and Zhao Tian could feel the fierce glares from the other disciples.
The women, Qi Xue and Qi Nue beside him smiled faintly and spoke “Then, we are taking our leave, little brother…”
Looking at them, Zhao Tian replied with a soft smile “How can that be? You two sisters helped me… Did you have breakfast? I can treat you…”
The two women looked at each other and Qi Xue spoke “We are about to go to the cafeteria… but do you have credits, little brother? You joined just yesterday.”
Zhao Tian took the disciple token from his waist and pressed the button showing the small holographic display to them “Will 1000 credits be enough?”
Seeing this, Qi Nue smiled in excitement. “Of course, more than enough…”
Zhao Tian didn’t care much about those credits and he can do missions to gain them back, so it is okay to use them like this.
As the three of them left there, Li Jia’s eyes followed Zhao Tian.
…
Zhao Tian, Qi Xue and Qi Nue made their way towards the cafeteria and that place was also buzzed with outer disciples.
The three of them quickly found a table with four chairs and sat around the table.
Zhao Tian’s eyes skimmed the menu with curiosity, flipping through the pages of neatly listed dishes.
Each meal had its price displayed beside it, ranging from 50 to 100 credits for the more standard fare, while the special dishes on the final page boasted extravagant costs that reached into the thousands.
His gaze lingered for a moment on the priciest meals, spiritual beast meat, divine herb soups, and dishes infused with rare spiritual energy… but he quickly turned back to the more reasonable offerings.
As he looked at the options, Qi Xue and Qi Nue leaned forward from across the table “Little brother, you must be careful not to overspend. These dishes may look ordinary, but some can drain your credits fast if you’re not paying attention.” Qi Xue said in a teasing tone,
Qi Nue grinned, nudging her sister. “Especially for a new disciple like you, little brother,” she added with a playful wink.
“You wouldn’t want to blow all your credits on one meal, would you?”
Zhao Tian smiled at their teasing but didn’t seem concerned.
He set the menu down and glanced at Qi Xue and Qi Nue. “No need to worry,” he said, his keeping his smile.
“It’s just a meal. If I run out of credits, I’ll just do a few more missions to earn them back.”
His casual tone surprised Qi Xue as she raised an eyebrow. “You sound confident,” she commented.
“But some missions can be dangerous. You might want to be more careful when spending your credits.”
Zhao Tian shrugged. “I’m confident I can handle it.”
Qi Nue chuckled softly. “A bold statement for someone who just passed the entrance exam,”
“But I like it. Let’s see how much you’re willing to spend on us, little brother.”
Zhao Tian waved over a server, a young woman dressed in the same white and brown robes that marked the outer disciples of the Jade Eclipse Sect.
She bowed politely, holding a small tablet to take their order. “What can I get for you today?” she asked, her tone professional but friendly.
Qi Xue smiled sweetly, picking up the menu again as she skimmed through the options. “I think I’ll go with the Emerald Lotus Soup and the Seven-Spice Spiritual Herb Dumplings,”
“And perhaps a pot of Dragonfruit tea.”

Qi Nue followed suit, as she ordered. “I’ll take the same soup as my sister, and maybe add some Eagle Claw Stew as well. Oh, and a side of those Golden Moon Buns.”
Zhao Tian raised an eyebrow at their choices. “Quite the appetites, sisters,” he remarked in a light-hearted tone.
Qi Nue giggled “You did offer to treat us, didn’t you? We’d be remiss not to take advantage of that.”
Zhao Tian chuckled, then turned to the server. “For me, I’ll have the Cloud Orchid Beef, and add a side of Spirit Vine Vegetables. And the Heavenly Mist tea, please.”
The server nodded, swiftly noting down the order on her tablet before bowing again. “Your meals will be ready shortly,” she said, turning on her heel and walking away.
As they waited for their food, Zhao Tian glanced around the cafeteria again, looking at the disciples coming and going.
Some were still casting curious or envious glances at him.
It didn’t escape his notice that the two women sitting with him were drawing attention as well.
Qi Xue and Qi Nue were well-known among the outer disciples, not only for their beauty but also for their strength and sharp tongues.
Sitting with them so casually was bound to raise a few eyebrows.
He noticed one particular figure standing by the entrance, Li Jia.
Li Jia was taken aback as she caught Zhao Tian’s gaze, but she made no move to approach him.
Instead, she turned and walked off, disappearing into the crowd.
“Looks like someone’s got their eyes on you,” Qi Xue uttered, having noticed the exchange.
Zhao Tian gave a faint nod and replied “It seems so…”
A slight frown crept on his face ‘Is she also interested in me? … but she doesn’t seem like a woman who would sway by looks alone.’
‘Even when I tried to rob her, she had an indifferent face and gave me the marbles.’
Looking at him, Qi Xue spoke “Tian, it doesn’t take much to make enemies here. People are always looking for a reason to prove themselves.”
Qi Nue agreed with her sister “True… There’s always competition, even among the outer disciples. You’ll find that some are more interested in making rivals than friends.”
As they spoke, their food arrived, delivered on polished wooden trays with bowls of steaming, fragrant dishes.
As they began to eat, Zhao Tian noticed the quality of the food.
Every bite was bursting with flavor, and he could feel the faint stirrings of spiritual energy within the dishes, slowly nourishing his body as he ate.
“Not bad, right?” Qi Nue asked between bites.
Zhao Tian nodded, a satisfied smile on his face. “It’s better than I expected. The spiritual energy in these dishes is well-balanced.”
Qi Xue dabbed at her mouth with a napkin. “It’s one of the benefits of being part of the Jade Eclipse Sect. The food here isn’t just for filling your stomach… it also helps with cultivation, though only in small amounts.”
