A sleek ark was dashing through the space at full burst speed leaving behind a blue trial.

Inside the ark, Ji Shuang stood near the viewing deck with her hands clenched behind her back ‘Hope nothing happened to them…’

As her ark dashed toward the line of arks, she got out of the ark and went forward.

A moment later, from the largest ark in the blockade, a figure emerged and stepped out.

Looking at her floating in the space, the man spoke “This is as far as you can go, Ji Shuang.”

Ji Shuang raised an eyebrow “You are…”

With a nod, the man spoke “I am Flaeus, representing the Longqing Ridge apex high star by the order of the Emperor.”

“We know you are going to the Vampiric High Star and we can’t allow you…”

Ji Shuang’s eyes squinted in thought ‘I see, that bastard know I would come to Vampiric Star if he took the weapon or Zhao Tian.’

‘So, he asked Longqing Ridge to stop me.. but what benefit are Longqing Ridge getting from them?’

But then it clicked her and she looked at the Flaeus “I see, so you are in cahoots with the Vampiric Star.. for the knowledge of the Teleportation portals.”

Hearing this, the man chuckled “You are indeed a smart one. You should have already seen how powerful those teleportation portals are, right?”

“The way they break the very laws of space. The Vampiric High Star has done what no other Apex Star could.”

“And once they fully control this technology, they will rise. They will become one of the Apex High Stars. It is inevitable.”

Small arcs of purple lightning cracked around Ji Shuang’s body as she spoke “Do you really think you can stop me here?”

With a shake of his head, the man spoke “I know that I cannot stop you.. but attacking me here would mean you are attacking the Longqing Ridge High Star itself.”

“It will surely create a war… and the one who will get destroyed will be the Jade Eclipse Star.”

Hearing this, Ji Shuang’s gaze squinted as she saw the large picture.

Even if she killed Flaeus, it would be meaningless in the grand scheme of things.

The moment she struck, the Jade Eclipse Star would be branded as the aggressor, a target of annihilation by the might of the Apex Stars

However just as she was about to move, a woman hurriedly stepped out of the ark and dashed to Flaeus “General Flaeus.”

Hm? Flaues turned his head to look at the woman’s panicked face “What happened?”

With a hasty nod, the woman spoke “We lost our connection with the vampiric Star. All communications with the Vampiric Star have been severed. No signals, no transmissions… nothing. It’s as if they’ve vanished.”

Flaeus was dumbfounded “What happened?”

Ji Shuang’s eyes narrowed in cotemplation.

Whatever had just happened on the Vampiric Star meant one thing… there was no time to waste.

In an instant, Ji Shuang’s body blurred into motion and she turned sharply, dashing back toward her ark.

Flaeus, still reeling from the sudden revelation, barely had time to react before she was already inside her vessel.

Her hands moved, thrusting the engine controls forward.

The ark roared to life and its thrusters ignited as it prepared for immediate acceleration.

Flaeus barely had time to regain his bearings before he saw a brilliant burst of violet energy as Ji Shuang’s ark surged forward, dodging through the blockade.

The ark vanished into the distance, streaking toward the Vampiric Star.

The space trembled.

A hollow groan echoed through the dying battlefield as the very foundation of Rhudamanth’s Blood Domain began to fracture.

The once-lofty spires of blood that loomed over the land quivered, crumbling into dust.

The rivers of crimson boiled and withered, dissipating into the air.

The oppressive, suffocating weight of the Domain began to shatter like glass.

The air itself fractured.

As Zhao Tian steapped out of the shattering domain, his gaze glimpsed at the swarming vampires around him.

They all trembled in fear but he didn’t spare them a second glance and looked at Selena, who was still tied to the chains.

“Urghh…”

A low, pained grunt escaped her lips as thick rivulets of blood pooled from the hollow socket where her eye had once been, staining her pale skin in streaks of crimson

Amidst the pain, hearing some footsteps, she raised her gaze and er remaining eye, blurred by blood and tears, managed to glimpse the shadowed figure drawing closer. Zhao Tian.

Zhao Tian raised his hand and the dagger again appeared on his hand.

Without hesitation, he plunged the dagger into her thigh and pulled it down, tearing her muscles as a fresh pool of blood gushed forth.

Selena screamed in pain as tears mositened her remaining eye and she looked at Zhao Tian, tears drenching with the blood from her eyesocket.

Her body convulsed and her spine arched in utter pain as a plead escaped her lips.

Hearing her screams, Zhao Tian’s body trembled as he thought Yao Jing must have also screamed like this.

She should have also felt the same pain like this and endured suffering from this woman for hours.

The memory of Yao Jing’s battered face with one eye is still fresh in his mind.

His heart wretched in pain just thinking about it and he raised the dagger again.
