I alone am the Honoured One! - Chapter 746
Chapter 746: A silent night
The cool night breeze caressed Zhao Tian’s face as he soared through the sky, his robes fluttering in the wind.
The moon hung high above, casting a pale silver glow across the landscape.
The land below is an expanse of serene courtyards, winding stone paths, and the grand halls of the Jade Eclipse Sect.
His gaze flickered downward looking at the courtyard below ‘Let’s give Sect Master a visit before heading back…’
As he flew down to her quarters, he felt her presence outside in the courtyard.
‘Is she outside?’
He landed on the courtyard and glanced at the small white table placed there.
A single porcelain jug of wine rested upon it, along with two delicate cups.
There was a couch placed beside the table, and she was sitting on it.
However, he was surprised to see the cloth she was wearing.
She was wearing thin night wear showing her sexy curves, but what stood out the most was her K cup breasts.
The delicate silk did little to hide her ample chest, her slender waist, the gentle rise of her hips.
The moonlight traced along the shape of her body, outlining every contour, every curve, as if nature itself wished to admire her beauty.
She looked… breathtaking.
Zhao Tian has noticed it before, but she hides her breast size by stuffing them in her robes.
This is the second time he has seen her real size.
He averted his gaze, but not before catching sight of her bare collarbone, the delicate dip of her shoulders, and the way the silk clung to her thighs.
Ji Shuang, oblivious at first, took another slow sip from her wine cup.
Her long violet hair cascaded over her shoulders, some strands swaying gently in the wind.
Her eyes, half-lidded, glowed faintly beneath the moon’s light.
Then, as if suddenly realizing his presence, she blinked and turned to look at Zhao Tian.
She had a faint flush on her cheeks because of the booze.
“Tian?”
However, only then did she remember the outfit she was wearing and hurriedly crossed her other arm around her chest, shielding herself.
A faint crimson hue dusted her porcelain cheeks.
“Uh…”
An awkward silence filled the space and Zhao Tian let out a sigh “I will take my leave, Sect master.”
“Sorry for interrupting your night.”
Ji Shuang’s lips parted slightly and she hesitated before quickly shaking her head. “No… it’s okay. You’ve already seen them.”

She closed her eyes for a second ‘He even sucked on my breasts in the past…’
Then, with a small smile, she gestured to the couch beside her “Come here.”
Her voice carried a softness that Zhao Tian hadn’t expected.
Zhao Tian again looked at her as her beautiful body was accentuated by the bright moonlight.
Without hesitation, he went to her and sat beside her on the couch.
Looking at her face, he asked “You are drinking alone in night?”
With a soft giggle, Ji Shuang took another glass, pouring some wine for him “Who said I am alone… I have this moon giving me company.”
“And now I have you.”
As she spoke, she handed him the cup, and he took it from her hand.
Zhao Tian took a sip of the wine she offered, and the rich taste burned slightly as it slid down his throat, warming his core.
“It’s been a while since we drank together…” Zhao Tian muttered as he took another sip.
Ji Shuang nodded her head “Hmm.. the last time was during your wedding with Hanyue.”
Her gaze flickered to his face “And how is your Alchemy going?”
With a nod, he replied “It is going good.”
They sat in silence for a while, drinking their wine.
Then as if remembering something, he looked at her “How is your father?”
She took another sip from her cup, her delicate fingers wrapped around the glass.
The faint flush on her cheeks made her appear even more radiant under the moonlight “He is doing fine… but he is also slowly reaching his days.”
Her gaze trembled as she looked up at the sky “People close to me… they are slowly drifting away.”
Zhao Tian felt a deep ache settle in his chest as he looked at her.
“My father… he’s aged faster than I expected. His cultivation is strong, but even the strongest cultivators cannot escape time forever.”
Her fingers traced the rim of her cup absentmindedly as she continued, “And then… Jing’er, I never imagined she would be gone so suddenly.”
Ji Shuang exhaled softly, shaking her head. “Sometimes, I wonder… are we just destined to be left behind while everyone moves on?”
Zhao Tian’s gaze squinted gently as he looked at her.
Reaching out, he placed a hand over hers.
Hm? Her fingers tensed slightly at his touch before relaxing as she turned to look at him.
“I am still here… amn’t I?”
Ji Shuang’s lips parted slightly as surprise flickered in her expression.
Then, after a moment, she smiled faintly “I suppose you are…”
Her fingers intertwined with his fingers as she moved a little, leaning on his shoulder.
She closed her eyes for a moment, feeling the heat radiating from his body ‘He is warm…’
Raising her head, she looked up at the moon and before she could stop it, a single tear escaped, slipping past her lips.
The salty drop rolled down her cheek, catching on the curve of her chin before she hurriedly wiped it away with the back of her.
She thought she had concealed it well. But Zhao Tian noticed it.
His fingers tightened slightly around hers as his thumb brushed over the back of her hand in a slow, comforting motion.
“Sect Master…”
She flinched slightly at the sound of her name spoken so softly ‘Did he saw that?’
“Are you alright?” he asked, tilting his head just enough to glance at her.
Ji Shuang hesitated before offering him a small, forced smile “Of course… Just reminiscing, that’s all.”
A soft sigh escaped his lips as he also remembered Yao Jing.
Holding his hand tightly, she murmured “Thinking about Jing’er?”
“Hmm…”
A small smile appeared on her lips “She would be very happy… if she knew that you are concentrating on Alchemy so much.”
Zhao Tian nodded his head looking at the stars “Yeah.”
For a while, neither of them spoke.
The night stretched before them, and the silence was only broken by the distant chirping of crickets and the occasional rustling of the wind against the trees.
Ji Shuang leaned into him slightly, pressing her shoulder against his as she gazed up at the sky as well “She always believed in you, you know,”
His fingers tightened around hers “I know.”
Ji Shuang looked up at the sky once more, her voice carrying a hint of wistfulness “Do you ever wonder… if she’s watching us?”
Zhao Tian followed her gaze, his eyes tracing the vast expanse of stars twinkling in the skies “Maybe,” he said quietly.
“Maybe she’s up there, scolding me…”
Ji Shuang chuckled “That does sound like her.”
Zhao Tian let out a soft laugh, shaking his head “Yeah… it really does.”
Ji Shuang looked at his expression softening under the starlight.
He is healing… slowly.
And she would be there, just as she always had been.
Without thinking, she leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to his shoulder.
The fabric of his robe was warm against her lips and she inhaled his familiar scent.
Zhao Tian stiffened slightly at the unexpected touch and turned his head to look at her.
She raised her hand and tenderly cupped his cheek with her hand, making him look at her.
She glanced into his eyes before leaning forward and placing a kiss on his cheek.
Pulling back her lips a bit, she whispered in his ear “No matter what… I will be here for you.”
Zhao Tian closed his eyes for a moment, letting her words sink in.
She truly has been a huge help in his life after coming to this Sect and even saved him from the explosion of the Vampiric Star.
But what has he done for her?
Because of him, she lost the only sister she had…
Ji Shuang looked at his face as her thumb gently caressed her cheek.
At first, she took the ‘job’ of protecting him because of Qian Shi’s orders.
But now looking at the fragile man in her arms, all she wants is to genuinely protect him and spend some time with him.
Not because of someone’s orders…
But because she wants to.
Even these few minutes she spend with him fills her heart with such warmth that she has never felt in her years of life.
‘Why… just being with him brings me such joy? isn’t it supposed to be my ‘duty’ to look after him?’
‘But why….’
As she again glimpsed at his face, her eyes softened in affection ‘No wonder he has many women…’
A wry smile tugged at the corner of her lips ‘Damn. He is really charming…’
