Chapter 754: A little talk

Dashing through the skies, Zhao Tian soared above the grand capital of the Jade Eclipse Dynasty.

The afternoon sun cast a warm glow upon the land, its golden rays illuminating the grand palace that stood at the heart of the dynasty.

With a sharp descent, Zhao Tian swiftly landed before the vast open courtyard leading to the palace gates.

The impact of his arrival sent a gentle ripple of force across the ground, causing the surrounding guards to instinctively reach for their weapons… until they recognized who had arrived.

Their eyes widened in shock and their bodies stiffened as looked at him.

“L-Lord Zhao Tian…” one of the guards stammered.

In an instant, all of them dropped to their knees, lowering their heads.

One of the guards, realizing the gravity of the moment, immediately scrambled to his feet and dashed toward the palace entrance.

He dashed through the grand corridors, breathing heavily.

Inside the Hall, there are Sect master and Emperors of the neighbouring Empires for discussion.

At the highest seat of the grand chamber Zhou Hein was sitting.

Though newly appointed, he held himself with the grace and confidence of a ruler who had long been tempered by the burdens of the throne.

As the discussions continued, the heavy doors of the hall suddenly burst open.

A single guard rushed in, “Your Highness! Your Highness!” he called out, his voice laced with urgency.

The sudden interruption caused the hall to fall into stunned silence.

Every gaze turned toward the guard, brows furrowing at the disruption.

Zhou Hein, sitting at the head of the chamber, narrowed his sharp gaze slightly. “What is happening?”

The guard quickly lowered his head, beads of sweat forming on his brow.

He took a deep breath before speaking “The Heaven-Sent Child, Lord Z-Zhao Tian… has arrived at the palace gates.”

At those words, the hall was thrown into complete silence.

A single shiver ran through the room as the gathered sect masters and kings tensed in their seats.

Zhao Tian.

Some of the kings exchanged wary glances and their fingers tightened around the armrests of their seats.

A brilliant smile suddenly appeared on the emperor’s face.

He stood up from his grand throne “Brother is here?”

Without hesitation, Zhou Hein descended from his throne and his imperial robes billowed behind him as he walked toward the grand doors of the hall.

The gathered rulers and sect masters could only watch in stunned silence as the emperor himself moved to personally welcome the Heaven-Sent Child.

Zhao Tian was already walking inside the palace when he saw Zhou Hein walking towards him.

With a bow, he greeted him “Brother.. ”

Zhao Tian gave a nod and patted his shoulder “How are you doing?”

Nodding his head, Zhou Hein replied “Everything is going well, Brother. The empire is stable and the sects are at peace.”

Zhao Tian glanced around and asked “I want to meet Sect Master Shuang… but when I reached her quarters, I heard she came to the Imperial Palace. So I came in search of her.”

Hearing this, Zhou Hein immediately nodded “I saw her with my mother, she must be with my mother in my mother’s private quarters.”

“Come, I’ll take you to her,” Zhou Hein offered as he turned and lead the way through the opulent corridors.

Zhao Tian followed as he silently observed his surroundings.

Palace maids and attendants moved around with their heads respectfully bowed as they hurried about their duties.

Occasionally, one would catch a glimpse of Zhao Tian, and upon recognizing him, their eyes would widen in awe before quickly lowering their gaze.

With a soft sigh, Zhao Tian spoke “The court was full today, I see,” he remarked.

Zhou Hein chuckled, shaking his head slightly. “The throne has no shortage of petitioners, Brother. Kings from neighboring empires, sect masters seeking favor, and even rogue cultivators hoping for an opportunity to align with the dynasty.”

Zhao Tian let out a small hum of acknowledgment. “Do any of them pose a problem?”

“None so far, Brother.”

Soon, they arrived at an doorway leading to the Empress’s private residence.

Zhou Hein glanced at Zhao Tian and gestured toward the entrance “She should be inside. Shall we?”

Zhao Tian nodded and he lowered his head “Then, i shall take my leave, Brother.”

As Zhao Tian stepped through the grand doorway, the scent of lotus incense welcomed him, blending with the faint aroma of freshly brewed tea.

Inside there is Jade Empress and Ji Shuang sitting around a low wooden table conversing and drinking tea.

The moment he stepped inside, both women turned to face him.

Ji Shuang was surprised to see him and the Empress hurriedly stood up with a smile on her lips “Zhao Tian…”

Zhao Tian gave a slight nod to her for respect and walked to Ji Shuang before taking a seat beside her on the luxurious couch.

She moved a little closer and asked “Why are you here, Tian?”

Looking at her, he replied with a faint smile “I came looking for you.”

The Empress sat back in her seat and looked at them curiously.

Ji Shuang tilted her head slightly “Looking for me?”

With a nod, he glanced at the Empress “Since both of you are here, it would be better, I guess…”

“I want to know about these ruptures.”

Jade Empress and Sect Master Ji Shuang, both of them hold the highest positions in the Jade Eclipse Star.

If there is anyone who has information regarding these occurrences, it would be them.

Both of them looked at him curiously and he spoke “I want to know if there are specific zones or places where this rupture forms often.”

Hearing this, both of them exchanged a glance and Ji Shuang spoke “Tian… I think there are specific routes specified for cultivators to not travel in space.”

“However, these ruptures… they appear randomly. It’s not something we can predict. I don’t think we have specific data tracking where they occur most frequently.”

Zhao Tian’s gaze narrowed slightly.

He expected as much, but a part of him had hoped that someone within the highest echelons of power might have gathered more intelligence on the matter.

The Empress lowered her head faintly and spoke “These technologies are new to the Jade Eclipse Star. We are still in the process of adapting to them, integrating what knowledge we can from those beyond our domain.”

“As of now, we do not possess the capability to map these ruptures. Zhao Tian, if this is what you seek, you may need to look elsewhere.”

She paused for a moment, then offered a solution “Perhaps the people of Ebon Luohe would have the information you need.”

“Their advancements in technology and spatial anomalies far exceed ours. If you wish, I can arrange an audience with the Emperor of Ebon Luohe. Perhaps he can provide you with the knowledge you need.”

Zhao Tian’s gaze narroed slightly ‘Involving that guy into this?’

He already knew the Emperor of Ebon Luohe personally while he was back on Earth; they formed an alliance to help Earth.

‘Maybe I can ask Lyra first…’

He shook his head and replied “For now, no need to talk to him about that.”

Ji Shuang looked at him and asked “Why are you researching about these Ruptures?”

“Just some personal matters.”

Hearing this, her gaze narrowed slightly but she didn’t press it further and stayed silent.

The Jade Empress stood up and poured some tea for him “Here, Zhao Tian…”

With a nod, he accepted the tea and the conversation continued… about the Dynasty’s situation now.

A little later, the door to the room swung open and someone entered the room.

“Husband?”

Hm? Zhao Tian looked at the entrance and saw Zhou Hanyu walking in “Hanyue?”
