I AM A MAGE BUT WITH MILF SYSTEM - Chapter 262
Chapter 262: A strange boy
He was confident in his abilities, as he had unraveled the mysteries behind even the creation and destruction.
But even after pondering deeply, pulling every theories or knowledge from his vast arsenal, Julian found himself unable to break the wall. There wasn’t even the faintest hint to define what time truly was.
He thought to himself, There is no precise moment where time could begin.
The only conclusion Julian could draw was that, Time either emerged at the very first moment of creation or has existed eternally. Both possibilities seemed equally unfathomable, yet they were the only explanations his mind could conceive.
He sighed, “Perhaps time is not something to be understood but something to be experienced,” he muttered, his gaze shifting back to the vibrant sky shaded with orange hue.

Back in the present, Julian’s gaze shifted back to the source of the sound. Slowly, a figure emerged from the dense bush. It was a creature resembling a dragon but without wings, its size comparable to a large bear. Its scaled body glowed faintly under the dim light.
The creature’s eyes locked with Julian’s, and it let out a powerful growl that echoed through the silent forest.
Julian smirked in amusement, intrigued by the strange creature before him. “Fascinating,” he said.
Without warning, the creature lunged at him. Julian stood still, watching it approach with calculated calm. Just as the creature was about to close the distance, he vanished, reappearing on the sturdy branch of a tall tree.
The creature skidded to a halt, its clawed feet digging into the forest floor. It looked around in visible confusion, sniffing the air as it tried to locate its target.
Julian then soared into the sky, scanning the surrounding for any signs of civilization or life. But all he saw was an endless expanse of dense forest stretching in every direction.
A thought crossed his mind, Am I in some kind of forbidden zone?
Deciding there was no any answer, he descended back to the ground.
The creature which was still patrolling the area, flinched at Julian’s sudden reappearance. Driven by instinct, it roared loudly before lunging forward to attack him again.
Julian smirked, feeling his stomach growl. “I was getting hungry. Thanks for volunteering.”
He closed his eyes, and his body crackled with lightning. The energy danced around him like a snake, ready to strike. Without warning, the lightning snakes slithered off his body, heading straight for the creature.
The beast froze, staring in bewilderment at the crawling energy. It tried to swipe at the snakes, but they were too quick, coiling around its limbs and body.
In an instant, the snakes burst, enveloping the creature in a blinding flash. Its roar turned into a wild, painful cry as its body was torn to countless pieces. Moments later, there was nothing left but burnt remains that slowly turned to ashes.
Julian laughed, shaking his head. “It was so weak that it turned to ash. I could not even fill my hunger.”
After a brief moment, he decided to continue venturing deep into the dense forest.
As dusk neared, the silence that had filled the air was finally broken. Julian heard the unmistakable and gentle flow of a river accompanied by the occasional bubbling and splashing over stones.
A small smile tugged at his lips. “Finally, something useful,” he muttered and quickened his pace, following the sound.
After a few moments, Julian arrived at the source. It was a small river, its water clear and reflecting the orange hue of the dusk. The sound of the flowing water filled Julian’s ear, and for the first time since he had arrived in the unfamiliar forest, he found himself at peace.
He stepped closer, ready to freshen himself, but suddenly froze mid step. His head tilted slightly while his eyes narrowed in both shock and confusion as his eyes fell on a figure of someone.
A boy.
He couldn’t be older than ten and he was swimming in the river. The boy’s laughter echoed, carefree and innocent, blending with the calming melody of the river.
Julian stood still, staring at the boy. What is a child doing here? In a place like this?
He stepped closer with a raised brow. The boy noticing him, stopped splashing around and swam towards Julian. Water dripped from his hair as he tilted his head, his bright eyes scanning Julian with fascination.
“Who are you? I’ve never seen you before,” the boy asked, his voice full of innocent curiosity.

Julian calmly replied, “I am just a wanderer who mistakenly entered this dense forest.”
The boy’s expression shifted to one of wonder. “Oh, is that so?” His eyes lit up, glowing with excitement. “Are there other people outside this forest? How do they live? What do they eat?” he asked.
Julian was momentarily surprised by the barrage of questions, but he indulged the boy with a faint smile.
“Yes, there are many people outside,” he began. “They live by building homes, creating bustling cities, and establishing kingdoms. As for what they eat… well, they enjoy all kinds of delicious foods—fruits, meats, breads, and dishes spiced with flavors.”
The boy’s jaw dropped slightly, his excitement growing. “That sounds amazing!” he exclaimed. “I have always wondered what the world beyond this forest is like.”
Julian studied the boy carefully, intrigued by his enthusiasm. “You have never left this forest?”
The boy shook his head, his expression dimming for a moment. “No… this forest is all I’ve ever known.”
His gaze shifted to Julian’s torn clothes, and his brow furrowed with concern. “What happened to your clothes?” he asked. “You look like you were attacked by a necharwas.”
Julian raised an eyebrow at the unfamiliar term. “Necharwas?” he repeated.
The boy nodded. “Yes, they are the creatures common in our forest. They look like dragons, but they don’t have wings. They can be really dangerous if you are not careful.”
A flicker of understanding crossed Julian’s face, and he gave a small nod. “Oh, so that’s what they are called,” he said with a chuckle. “Yeah, I happened to run into one of those. It attacked me, but I quickly ran away to save my life.”
The boy’s expression softened with relief. “That was smart. Most people don’t make it if they try to fight a necharwas alone.”
Julian smiled faintly. “I suppose I was lucky.”
The boy climbed out of the water. “Wait here,” he said before running towards a tall bush nearby.
