Chapter 410: Grand Elder Mo Yun
The female guard hesitated for a brief moment, but the memory of Luoshi’s cold gaze and the suffocating aura pressing down on her rushed back instantly.

Already humiliated enough, she gritted her teeth and quickly got up, stumbling slightly before forcing herself to follow behind him.

Better to obey quietly than to humiliate herself further.

Julian reached the large door and, without even looking back, pushed it open.

A cool, fragrant breeze greeted him, and he stepped inside.

The female guard slipped through the door after him, lowering her head slightly.

Inside, Julian was immediately greeted by a massive hall.

The interior was grand — big enough to hold thousands of people.

Rows of stalls lined the marble floors, each stall accompanied by attendants dressed in elegant robes.

The first section was the Appraisal Hall. Cultivators stood in line as staff members carefully evaluated the items they brought — measuring their value, authenticity, and spiritual energy.

In another area was the Registration Hall. It was the official section where approved treasures were registered and prepared to be submitted for the auction later in the evening.

Everywhere he looked, there were rare herbs, mysterious artifacts, glowing crystals, and various spiritual treasures.

Julian’s smile deepened slightly.

Today would be… interesting.

“What’s your name?” he asked casually, not even glancing at the girl walking behind him.

The female guard was caught off guard, her heart still unsteady from earlier. She lowered her head and murmured softly, “Yun Mei.”

“Hmm, beautiful name,” Julian said as he continued forward into the bustling auction hall.

He had nothing to sell. Today, he was simply browsing, curious if fate would present him with something interesting.

But before he could take more than a few steps, a loud, arrogant voice boomed across the hall:

“You fucker! You want to die or something?!”

The entire hall froze for a brief moment.

Julian turned his head toward the source of the disturbance.

Standing not too far away was a tall, handsome young man, his bright green hair tied back into a ponytail. He wore a silky, blue and red robe, marking him instantly as someone of status.

Around him, disciples parted quickly, bowing their heads or moving aside to avoid trouble.

“Senior Brother Jun Jipeng…” the surrounding disciples murmured quietly.

Julian tilted his head slightly and asked, “Who is he?”

Yun Mei, who stood stiffly a few steps behind him, answered quickly:

“Core disciple… the son of Grand Elder Mo. She is one of the strongest Grand Elders in the Heavenly Moon Sect… Her power is said to be just below Saint Heavenly Moon herself.”

Julian raised an eyebrow slightly, interest flickering in his eyes for the first time today.

Beside Jun Jipeng stood several women, all of them doing their best to suck up to him.

In front of Jun Jipeng, a frail-looking male disciple stood trembling, his head bowed so low that his forehead almost touched the marble floor.

“S-Sorry, Senior Brother…” The disciple mumbled weakly, his voice cracking with fear.

One of the women beside Jun Jipeng sneered coldly. She pressed her chest even closer against Jun’s arm, trying to catch his attention.

“What an ugly fuck,” she spat, glaring down at the trembling boy. “Daring to attack our Senior Brother… Doesn’t know his place!”

The other girls giggled behind their sleeves, eagerly nodding, trying to outdo each other in showing their loyalty.

Jun Jipeng smiled arrogantly, clearly enjoying the scene.

The frail disciple dared not raise his head. His body shook like a leaf in the wind, knowing full well that in this place, one word from Jun could end his future.

Julian watched silently, his expression calm and detached—as if observing a play.

“You deserve death!” Jun Jipeng suddenly roared, raising his hand high.

His Qi began to surge, forming a sharp pressure around his palm.

But before Jun could release his power, a calm, feminine voice pierced through the tension:

“Jun, what are you doing?”

The hall froze.

A beautiful woman walked forward gracefully, her soft pink kimono fluttering lightly with each step. She had similar features to Jun, but unlike Jun’s arrogance, she carried an aura of supreme grace and allure.

Each of her movements was soft, flowing like water, yet every step she took demanded attention.

Disciples and even the stall owners immediately bowed low, their faces pale with fear.

“Grand Elder Mo Yun…” someone whispered.

Even Yun Mei, standing behind Julian, bowed her head.

Grand Elder Mo Yun — one of the highest authorities in the sect.

Jun Jipeng lowered his head obediently, his earlier arrogance melting away in front of her.

“Mother,” he said respectfully. “No… I was just teaching this junior a lesson.”

Grand Elder Mo Yun gave a glance toward the trembling disciple, her face cold and emotionless.

With a mock grin, she spat onto the ground beside the boy.

“Do not lower yourself to the standards of trash,” she said, her voice filled with nothing but disdain.

“You are born for greatness.”

The words hit like a hammer — not just to the trembling disciple but to everyone watching.

“Yes, Mother,” Jun chuckled, bowing slightly.

Grand Elder Mo Yun’s lips curled faintly. “Follow me,” she said, before turning around and walking away.

Jun followed closely, his head held high, basking in the power and authority as they moved toward the inner hall.

Julian smirked inwardly as he watched the sight. Interesting. Everybody thinks they’re superior here.

His gaze lingered on the pair, amusement flashing in his eyes. But as his eyes drifted, they caught the slight movement of Mo Yun’s hips, and his smirk widened.

Allure, graceful and mature. Oh, she knows exactly what she’s doing.

The hall buzzed back to life as the mother and son disappeared, the tension easing but not fading entirely.

Meanwhile, Yun Mei glanced at Julian from the side, her heart uneasy. She still couldn’t understand why he had taken her with him. The thought of asking flashed in her mind, but she quickly crushed it — she didn’t dare risk offending him any further.

With the earlier disturbances cleared, Julian calmly made his way toward the Registration Hall, where cultivators lined up, waiting to submit their treasures.

Yun Mei was surprised. Does he really have something valuable to sell? she wondered.

Gathering her courage, she leaned slightly closer and whispered, You have the invitation of Young Miss Luoshi herself… You can skip the line.”
