Chapter 411: Are you into women?
Julian smiled warmly, joining his palms together. “Oh yes, right. Thank you for reminding me. Let’s go.”

Without hesitation, he walked forward, bypassing the entire line.

Many disciples in line turned to glare at him instinctively — but seeing the guard in sect uniform trailing respectfully behind him and remembering the earlier drama, none dared to open their mouths.

At the registration table, a man in scholarly robes, wearing round glasses, stood waiting.

The moment Julian approached, the man’s expression brightened, and he bowed deeply.

“Brother, what can I do for you?” the man said respectfully.

Julian returned a light smile and replied, Brother, I have something I wish to sell.”

He reached into his robe and pulled out a small jar.

Inside the jar, something golden glowed and swirled, almost alive, like liquid sunlight trapped in glass.

The moment the jar was exposed, a blinding flash burst through the hall.

Everyone instinctively shielded their eyes, gasps echoing in every corner.

When the light faded, all eyes snapped toward Julian, their faces full of shock and curiosity.

The appraiser’s eyes widened, almost bulging out of their sockets.

“B-Brother, what is this? Where did you find it?” he stammered.

Julian smiled faintly.

“I don’t know, brother, I just found it while walking through the Abyssal Mountains.”

Gasp!

Shock, fear, and disbelief filled the expressions of every cultivator nearby.

The Abyssal Mountains was none other than one of the most forbidden places in the entire world. It was said that an actual saint had once died deep within those mountains.

To speak of wandering through the Abyssal Mountains so casually, as if taking a walk in the backyard — it wasn’t just arrogance. It was domination. Authority.

The appraiser brightened even more, his entire posture shifting into a permanent bow as he spoke hurriedly, Yes, Brother! Come, come!”

He extended both arms eagerly, like a child being offered a rare treasure.

“May I see it?”

Julian nodded and handed the jar over.

The appraiser took it with trembling hands and began to inspect it carefully, examining every angle.

With each passing second, his eyes widened further.

“Yes… we found it…” he muttered, the rarest item in the world…”

He clutched the jar tightly before turning back to Julian and bowing so low his forehead almost touched the table.

“Brother, please!” he said almost breathlessly. “Enter the auction hall immediately and sit in the Sapphire Lobby!”

The announcement rippled through the registration hall like thunder.

The Sapphire Lobby.

Everyone around gasped once more, unable to hide their shock.

The Sapphire Lobby was reserved for the sect leader herself—a place of supreme honor where even grand elders had to bow before entering.

For a monk… to be directed there…

Was he on the same level as a sect leader?

“Amitabha,” Julian chanted peacefully. He walked forward casually and moved deeper into the auction house.

Yun Mei, walking a step behind, was drowning in awe.

Her eyes kept flickering toward Julian’s back, her mind a storm of questions.

Who is this monk? She thought, feeling smaller with every step she took. The item must be beyond rare… to grant him the Sapphire Seat…

**

Guided by an auction guard, Julian was soon led into the Sapphire Level Lobby.

It was beyond luxurious — almost like a private floating palace.

The terrace hotel had everything: a grand bed, plush chairs, plates of rare spiritual foods, and even delicate maids standing at the sides.

At the corners of the lobby, four Nascent Soul-level cultivators stood silently on guard.

From the terrace, Julian could see the entire auction hall clearly. Below, cultivators were already filling up the hall, eagerly waiting for the auction to begin.

He settled comfortably into the luxurious chair that offered the best view of the auction hall. Without even turning his head, he gestured to the seat beside him.

Yun Mei hesitated, but after a moment of her internal struggle, she slowly stepped forward and sat beside him, her posture stiff and awkward.

The silence between them was thick.

Just as Yun Mei felt like she couldn’t breathe anymore, Julian broke the silence.

“Do you like Luoshi?” he asked casually, as if commenting on the weather.

Yun Mei’s eyes widened, and her entire face flushed a deep red.

“N-No! What are you saying!? I… I would never… how can I…” she stammered.

Julian chuckled softly. “No need to be so defensive.”

Yun Mei lowered her head, unable to meet his eyes.

But Julian wasn’t done.

“Are you masking yourself as a male?” he asked. “Or are you truly into females?”

Yun Mei glanced around quickly, panic in her eyes.

Julian raised his hand. “Calm down. No one can hear anything here.”

The barrier around the Sapphire Lobby ensured absolute privacy — not even a saint could eavesdrop.

After a long pause, Yun Mei finally whispered, From a young age… I’ve thought of myself as male. That’s how I was raised. But I’ve… always had feelings for girls.”

Julian nodded, his eyes flickering with amusement. “Interesting. A woman who believes she’s a man and loves women.” He smirked. “What a nice topic for a romantic story.”

Yun Mei flushed again, embarrassed and cornered. “Don’t put it like that…” she muttered, lowering her head deeper.

Julian chuckled again, his eyes briefly glancing over her figure.

“Such a waste of those curves,” he teased.

Yun Mei remained silent, unsure whether to be offended or pleased.

Julian shook his head slowly, sighing faintly. “But Luoshi would never love you,” he said, his voice striking her deep.

She tensed, her fists tightening, and she glared at him in anger.

“Why not?” she hissed, trying to keep her voice low.

Julian smiled gently, not mocking this time, but almost with pity.

“Miss Luoshi is made for something bigger,” he said. “She is destined to have a much higher status in the future. Maybe even the next sect leader.”

He paused, letting the truth sink in before continuing.

“Naturally, she would want to be with someone who complements that status. Maybe an heir of one of the Ten Great Sects… or someone of immense power and fame.”

Yun Mei lowered her head, her heart sinking deeper with each word.

She knew he was right.

Deep down, she had always known.

Firstly, love between two women was already difficult.

Secondly, there was no guarantee Luoshi even had the same feelings toward women as she did.

And even if she did… status, power, future ambitions — they would all pull her away.

Yun Mei clenched her teeth, forcing herself to remain calm, but the sting of reality was hard to swallow.
