I Became My Healer Elf Character - Chapter 116
Chapter 116: Sensational
By the time the sky had darkened, many of Hikari’s followers appeared from the way shrine. They each settled into their own rooms of the mansion with the permission of the manor’s lady, Syndra.
Hikari decided to be alone. She walked in the back yard of the mansion, surrounded by an intricate flower maze. A sea of pretty flowers surrounded her, and the grass beneath her bare feet walked along the incredibly soft grass. Memories of Earth came to mind beneath the star light, and the elf girl decided to sit down.
“I know you’re watching me,” Hikari said. “You don’t have to be a stranger.”
The cat girl inside of the gazebo flinched. She walked over to Hikari and sat next to her. “Do you have eyes in the back of your head or something?”
“No, I gained skills from becoming my character. You should have gotten the skills to detect people also, especially as an assassin.”
“That’s exactly the problem. I’m an assassin. Detecting me should be much harder.”
Hikari shrugged. “How are you settling in?”
The cat girl shook her head. “It’s not really a fast change that I was hoping for. I keep remembering a lot of the things we had in the modern world, and it makes me long for it. Right now, I would probably be on my phone checking forums or news stories.”
Hikari sighed and patted the grass behind Syndra. “Lay down.”
“Wha—”
“Just do it.”
Syndra listened to the request and rested her body in the grass, looking up at Hikari in confusion.
“Alright, now close your eyes.” The elf noticed the girl’s hesitation and frowned. “I’m not going to do anything to you.”
“Okay, but I don’t understand where this is going…”
“You will in a moment. Just close your eyes.”
The cat girl once again followed the elf’s request.
“Now, can you tell me where we are at without opening your eyes?”
“We’re at my manor. Specifically, in the back yard.”
“Good. Why did you come back here?”
The cat girl shrugged. “I wanted to see what you were doing. I noticed you sneaked off by yourself, so I came back here to observe you. I thought maybe I would understand something.”
“What did you see?”
“I only saw a beautiful girl alone in a garden. It’s like a scene from a fairy tale. I didn’t want to end the delicate moment because it seemed like it could disappear at any time.”
Hikari placed a hand over Syndra’s eyes and channeled more of her calming magic into the cat girl. “You don’t have to worry. I can tell you’re confused and shaken about everything. You don’t have to pretend.”
“I’m sorry. Ever since I arrived here, I’ve been worried about so many different things. I want to get back home, but at the same time, I like this version of me much better. I have this selfish wish to go back as Syndra. Not…Not Sarah.”
“That wish isn’t really all that selfish. You’re merely over thinking things, but if that is what you Hope for, then I will make it a reality.”
The cat girl sat up and hugged Hikari. “You’ve always been a great person. That’s why so many people admire you.”
Hikari shook her head and ran her hand through the cat’s hair. “I’m not really such a great person. I have ulterior motives.”
“What kind of ulterior motives could you possibly…”
The cat’s words were cut off, and her lips were sealed into a kiss by the goddess. Hikari kissed the cat girl for a few seconds, using all of her experience to deliver a heavenly touch.
Hikari separated from the girl and observed her face turn into a tomato. “Those kind of ulterior motives.”

Syndra tried to regain herself, but even with the calming spell, it was clear that her mind was racing. It took her a few moments to collect herself and her racing heart.
“I certainly didn’t expect these kinds of ulterior motives. What would you have done if I didn’t like women?”
The elf sighed and shook her head. “Are you serious? I’ve caught you staring at me like a hungry kitten numerous times already. Even though you just met me, you kept doing that.”
“For one, I didn’t just meet you! And two, I don’t look like a hungry kitten…Do I?”
“Lay down and close your eyes again.”
“What? You’ll attack me for reals if I do that!”
“Just do it.”
Once again, the cat followed the command.
Hikari watched the cat helplessly lean forwards with her lips slightly puckered. She had no idea if the cat girl even noticed the sounds of her own purring. A rumbling was building in Syndra’s chest while she expected something. Yet, Hikari did not take the juicy fruit sitting in front of her right away.
Instead, the elf leaned down and whispered into the cat’s fluffy ear. “You’re such a cute little kitten.”
“I’m not…”
The elf realized that the tension was growing. She could feel her own arousal, and she knew that the cat was experiencing the same sensation. Hikari’s heart thudded in her chest, knowing that if she continued there was no turning back.
However, the elf shook her head. She pulled away from the cat girl and knelt beside her.
“I’m sorry. This was a bad idea.”
Syndra shot up with her eyes open and a look of confusion on her face. “What? Why is it a bad idea?”
“I don’t want to take advantage of you in a vulnerable state.”
The cat’s ears twitched, and her tail waved impatiently. Yet the girl smiled. “This is exactly what I was talking about. You’re far kinder than you give yourself credit for.”
“This is the kindness that everyone deserves. I will not take advantage of people just because of my position.”
“Yes, but you’re forgetting one thing. I don’t think you’re taking advantage of me at all. Things are more complex than that. So what if I’m a little shaken? I’m not a child or a kitten…unless you want me to be your kitten.”
Hikari’s shook her head in disbelief. “Why? I don’t really understand it.”
“It’s simply because I’ve had a crush on you for a long time, exactly as your friend said. The whole reason I obsessively checked the forums was that I wanted to find you. I wanted to know that you were still okay. I know this might sound lame, but I caught a crush on you without ever knowing the real you. I only knew you as a player character briefly, but I’ve not crushed on anyone else.”
“Really? I could have been an entirely different person behind the screen.”
“True, people can fake their avatar, and they can fake their personality. However, you were different. Even though you seemed so aloof on the surface, your actions made everyone understand. You shape the world around you into a stunning place, and that’s something that everyone can understand. In those few times I dove into a dungeon with you, your cooking was also the best. Even though, the olfactory was weaker in VR, I can still remember the taste. That’s why I pursued so many different flavors looking for it.”
The elf wanted to disagree, but she wouldn’t argue with the feelings of the cat girl. In the end she could only sigh and produce a faint smile. “It never occurred to me before that I could be loved so much by people.”
Syndra chuckled and clasped Hikari’s hands in her own. “If a goddess couldn’t be loved, then the people of the world would be doomed a hollow existence.”
“What does being a goddess have to do with it?”
“I’m not talking about you being a goddess. I don’t care about your status as a goddess as much as I care about you as a person. It might sound crazy and weird since I’ve not known you long enough, but I can’t deny how I feel. To me, you were already a goddess. And now that I know how kind you are, you’re even more so.”
“I guess I can’t argue with that, but maybe we should take things a little slower. You do know that loving me comes at a price. You will not be the only one who loves me.”
The cat nodded. “I already know. Besides, you being so considerate of me and my feelings is not making me love you any less. If anything, I find myself falling even faster now.” Syndra couldn’t help staring at Hikari’s soft lips. “I know that you said we should slow down, but I really want you to kiss me again.”
“That is a request I can easily oblige.” Hikari leaned in again and their lips pressed together. The elf savored the taste of the cat girl.
However, the scheming cat used this as an opportunity. She used this moment when Hikari was distracted to touch the elf’s ears, making the goddess twitch from the sensation.
The elf bit down onto Syndra’s lip before the two separated. “You scheming kitten…”
“That’s what you get for turning me on and saying to slow down. If anyone is the scheming kitten, it’s you. You might be a goddess, but you’re also a block. I can only imagine how tough the other girls had to be. I really wish I didn’t have to say this. If you don’t take me tonight inside of this garden, I’m going to have to jump you and attack you like a wild cat. So, you better make your choice.”
