Chapter 140: Enthusiastic Aiko
Hikari produced her staff and stood up from the table. She closed her eyes and gathered magic into the shape of a small box. A golden cube hung in the air between her and her mama. “You can consider me mostly a healer. Though, I am proficient in magic as a whole.”

The woman smiled. “It seems my little girl has become something incredible.”

Hikari returned her mama’s grin. “I’m not nearly half as incredible as my friends.”

Aiko stood from her booth and glanced out the window towards the park. “Those are your friends, aren’t they?”

“How did you…”

“Please, I wasn’t born yesterday. Those girls have something unique about each of them. One of them wears a witch hat. Another of them has cat ears. Another has horns and a tail, and the last one has vivid red eyes. A vampire, I presume?”

Hikari laughed and nodded. “That’s right.”

“Which is the lucky girl who asked you to marry her?”

Hikari bobbed her head towards the dragon girl. “The one with the horns. Her name is Kurayami. Though, in essence…They’re all my girlfriends.”

Aiko’s face twisted and became dumbfounded. Her cheeks reddened. “Did you really start building a yuri harem just because you became a goddess? I thought I would have taught you better than that.”

Hikari shook her head and waved her hands. “Please, it’s not like that. They all piled on me.”

Aiko raised an eyebrow. “I see, so you charmed them like a little devil?” The woman chuckled and placed a hand on Hikari’s shoulder. “I’m just joking. It’s just surprising is all.”

“You mean, you don’t mind this kind of relationship?”

“Which part are you talking about? The fact they’re all girls?”

Hikari nodded hesitantly.

Aiko placed a hand on her shoulder. “You don’t need to worry about that. I always had a feeling anyway, especially after your friend died.”

“What do you mean?”

“When Ayase was gone, you seemed to grow more depressed and distant from me. I thought that maybe you really did love her.”

“Anyone would be sad over losing a close friend.”

“That’s true,” Aiko said, “but this was something very different. You connected with that girl. I remember when you told me she stopped coming to school after her mother passed. You always looked like you would disappear from me. Imagine my surprise when you did.”

Hikari smiled wryly and pointed towards the witch outside. “Actually, I wanted to talk to you about that as well. That woman there is Ayase.”

Aiko’s eyes widened as she pressed her face against the glass. “You should invite all of those girls inside! They look so bored out there!”

Hikari pushed the glass door open, and as soon as she did, the others noticed and started running across the road. They didn’t even check for cars, but luckily for them, none had passed by.

“Hey, you should know better, Ayase. That’s illegal!” Hikari scolded and looked towards Syndra. “And you too.”

The witch raised her hand slyly. “I have an excuse. I’ve not been here for thousands of years and forgot the law…”

Before the witch could continue, she was pulled into an unprompted hug by Aiko. Their cheeks pressed together, and Aiko rubbed the girl’s back. Ayase’s face went red as she endured Aiko’s hug.

“I’m so glad that you’re here. Hikari would have stayed sad if you stayed dead forever, Ayase-chan…”

The witch looked towards the elf. “How much have you…”

“Don’t worry about that! Let me make you some tea!” Aiko danced over to Kurayami next. “I’m told you’re planning to marry my precious daughter.”

The dragon lifted her head and pressed a hand to her chest proudly. “Only an idiot wouldn’t marry Hikari.”

Aiko nodded in understanding and shook Kurayami’s hands. “Mhmm, she’s a very precious girl, so you better take really good care of her.”

The dragon waved her tail, finding a commonality among Hikari’s mom. “You’re right! She’s the more precious being in all of the world. That’s why everyone is running after her, but I can’t possibly hoard her to myself. The others wish to marry her, too.”

Aiko placed a finger to her chin and slid over to Mizuko next, inspecting her up and down. The woman grabbed onto the vampire’s large chest, much to everyone’s surprise, even inspecting those assets. “Yes, I see now.”

Mizuko was cool as a cucumber from her actions. She smiled, showcasing her white fangs. “Sometimes you have to try to charm someone with something other than magic. Luckily, I was graced with these.” The vampire pressed her chest together. “What do you think?”

Aiko nodded and gave a thumbs up. “You have all of the curves of a more mature woman, but you have the youth to match.”

“Naturally, that is why the mistress is so taken by me.”

Aiko finally found the greatest object of her affections last. The cat-eared girl was not spared from the woman’s adept hands. She plunged herself into the depth of fluff and immediately held onto Syndra’s ears.

Hikari’s mama scratched the cat’s ears, until she was a purring mess. “Fluff is justice! It seems that my daughter was not mistaken at all! HAHAHAHA!”

The elven goddess felt her face flushing with embarrassment. She grabbed onto Aiko’s hand and plead with her. “Mama, you’re going to embarrass me and push them away.”

“On the contrary,” Mizuko said, “I like a mortal who is so forward and honest.”

Kurayami nodded her head in agreement. “I also approve of this woman who has approved of our future marriage.” Kurayami gave a thumbs up and looked to Aiko. “Don’t worry. I will give you plenty of grandchildren.”

Hikari gasped. “G-grandchildren!?”

Aiko grinned from ear to ear. “My, I will be so blessed. Now, all of you should take a breather and sit here while I go to fetch you some tea.”

Ayase raised her hand. “Can I join you?”

“Of course, Ayase-chan!”

And just like that, the two slipped into the back.

Hikari slumped into a seat and pressed her head into the table. “Maybe this was a bad idea after all.”

Kurayami wrapped an arm around Hikari’s shoulder. “Come on, Master. Don’t be so embarrassed. I think that your mortal mother is very cute.”

Syndra nodded. “She’s so down to Earth, and her touch felt heavenly.”

Mizuko agreed with the two of them. “She is a very wise and powerful woman. She could see the true nature of my beauty right away.”

“Are you talking about your tits?”

“Does the mistress not like them?”

Hikari shook her head rapidly. “No! Of course, I like them…I love them, but aren’t you embarrassed about my mom feeling them up?”

“No, why would I be embarrassed? We’re both women, and I only have one woman in my eyes.” The vampire’s fangs glinted with her smile at Hikari. “That’s why, I want to be the next one to propose to you.”

Hikari blushed and turned towards the cat girl. “And what about you? Didn’t it feel weird to have your ears touched by a stranger?”

“It felt a little weird, but there was nothing odd about it really. Who wouldn’t want to feel a cat girl’s ears?”

“Yeah, but you wouldn’t let just anyone touch your ears…”

“Your mother is not ‘just anyone’. Your mother is…She’s the mother of the goddess of Hope! In a sense, her position is even higher than ours.”

Hikari looked at the other two girls, and they were nodding enthusiastically. “I see…Maybe I’m the one who doesn’t understand how normal interactions are supposed to work anymore.”

Kurayami shrugged. “Why would you concern yourself with ‘normal’ interactions? I think that all of us being happy to see your mother is the best thing. I never imagined that I would be so happy to see a mortal.”

Hikari smiled at the dragon and patted her head. “You really are a cute dragon. I’m glad that you all have taken a liking to my mother.”

“Yes, but Master…what are you going to do about her mortality?”

Hikari flinched and looked around the table. “That’s right! What happened to the succubus?”

Mizuko pointed outside of the store. “She got bored, so she said she’d go to test her new abilities on a random guy. I wouldn’t chase after her. You might see something that none of us want you to see.”

Hikari frowned and stared down at the table. “What have I done?”

“What are you all talking about?” Aiko asked as she came back with a tray of tea cups. She sat them down, and seeing that there wasn’t enough space, she pulled up another small table and two chairs.

Hikari didn’t delve into the topic further. “We were just talking about you. They’ve all taken a liking to you.”

“Really!? I’m so glad. That makes me happy. I was able to talk to Ayase-chan a little, and she’s taken by you. I’m so happy right now.”

“You both talked about me?”

“Yes! And it made me want to tell them even more about my little Hikari-chan!”

Hikari felt her face go bright red as she tried to protest, but the dragon quickly covered the girl’s mouth with her hand.

“Please,” Kurayami said, “tell us all about her.”
