Chapter 128: The Colonies of Ethemia! I
Achilles knew that his actions were about to stir a storm of upheaval across the Colony City of Neon, especially within the upper echelons of the Lunaris Colony Overseers.
The moment they discovered the emergence of multiple Apex Ethereal Physiology Masters, chaos would ensue.
But Luna would handle the inevitable outbursts and questions. The most likely explanation she would offer was that they had stumbled upon an Aeonic Treasure, one that had facilitated such shocking advancements in power.
For now, anyways.
Achilles had dissipated the Territorial Domain III, leaving behind Major David, Major Inu, Eloise, and Selene to adapt and acclimate to their newfound strength.
Their bodies now contained an abundance of Primordial Energy- a resource typically reserved for the Ancient Ones they had been battling!
As always, Achilles took Rose with him as this time, Luna accompanied them, moving ahead with the efficiency of a seasoned secretary.
She led them toward the towering, dome-shaped silver-purple buildings that served as the lodgings of the Overseers.
She was basically taking them to her home.
She glanced back at Achilles, her eyes still shimmering with excitement over everything that had unfolded.
“As King Primal instructed, I’ve compiled data on everything that might be relevant to you…”
They entered one of the tall, dome-shaped structures as the metallic doors slid open silently and they stepped onto a moving walkway that glided across a vast interior filled with uniquely designed glass walls.
Beyond the glass, brilliant chandeliers sparkled overhead, casting radiant light across a labyrinth of staircases and elevators that led to higher floors. Luna guided them into an executive elevator that ascended swiftly, taking them to the highest floor.
“This place,” Luna said as they rose, “is known as the Overseers’ Observatory.”
Her voice echoed softly within the confines of the elevator.
“There are several of these scattered across the Colony City of Neon with some being anchored firmly on the ground, while others, like this one, float among the clouds. All provided by the technology and power of the Lunaris Colony Overseers.”
WAA!
“The Lunaris Colony Overseers themselves…are a powerful behemoth who govern not just this city, but about a dozen others as well.”
“And of course,” Luna added, her tone a bit more thoughtful, “this was information I didn’t have access to before. But after becoming an Overseer, the knowledge was made available to me. And yet, I suspect that even now, not everything about the true power of the Lunaris Colony Overseers has been revealed to me. After all, I am merely one of many Inheritors of ancient power aligned with Advanced Humans. There are others like me in different Colony Cities, and I’m certain there are sharper eyes keeping watch on us and waiting for any sign of discrepancy. If our alignment were ever questioned, if any hint of betrayal were detected- the consequences would be swift!”
Luna’s voice held a unique tone brimming with caution.
“Because of the surge of power I’ve just experienced, alongside those around me, the scrutiny I face will undoubtedly intensify. But as long as I make it clear that this power is to be used for Advanced Humans, and as long as I show no sign of allegiance shifting toward a murderous Ancient One, my authority should remain intact.”
“In fact…” she added softly, “I might even be granted more freedom to explore the deeper secrets of their power, and I can be of even more use to King Primal.”
They reached the top floor while Luna revealed all of this.
The doors slid open, revealing a sprawling control center filled with computer monitors and holographic screens displaying waves of data.
A single Andromeda Sentinel stood at the center of the room, its robotic eyes glowing with a steady, watchful light.
Luna’s gaze hardened towards it as she spoke with quiet authority.
“Stand down.”
HUUM!
The Sentinel obeyed instantly, its glowing eyes dimming without question as even then, Luna did not relax.
With a wave of her hand, a solidified moon shimmered above her, and layers of silver waves of light enveloped the Sentinel and sealed it completely.

“Even after shutting it down, I can’t be too cautious as this particular Sentinel was designed by the Transcendent Doctor Shaw. I suspect he might be capable of listening in or even using the eyes of his Sentinels to spy on others.”
Achilles and Rose exchanged a glance, raising their brows in silent understanding.
“If King Primal could…” Luna gestured toward the luxurious executive seats at the center of the room, surrounded by an intricate blend of advanced technology and Evolutius Crystals.
Achilles took his seat, but Rose…
Rose ignored the seat entirely.
Instead, she shamelessly curled herself into Achilles’ lap, her arms draped around his neck like a kitten seeking warmth as she closed her eyes, her expression one of utter contentment, as if whatever they discussed here held no concern for her.
She rested her head against Achilles’ chest and began to hum softly, a sound that resonated with quiet serenity and peace.
Achilles could only shake his head, a faint smile tugging at his lips as he looked down at her.
“Go on,” he said in a firm tone while addressing Luna.
Luna swallowed, taking a moment to reorganize her thoughts before she spoke.
“There’s much for me to reveal, King Primal, and I think it’s best to start with the Colony City we’re currently in.”
Her expression grew more serious.
“The highest level of power in this place is located in the northern region of the city. An entity that goes by the code name…Monster.”
WAA!
Monster.
Achilles’ gaze sharpened.
“The one who guards the Ethereal Catacomb Entrance. They guard against a Behemoth that is a powerful Apex Ethereal Physiology entity who is intelligent, powerful, and terrifyingly independent. Monster has stood guard over the catacomb for countless years, never leaving their post. Because if they did, the behemoth within would break free!”
…!
“In the past when Monster once left their post, the Behemoth almost escaped and caused a Leyline Fracture that could have resulted in a catastrophe of unimaginable proportions, a threat capable of destroying an entire Colony City.”
The weight of her words hung heavy in the air!
