Chapter 254: The Queen Who Watches the Skies I
Rose Adrian stood still in the clearing at the apex of the Primal Neon Tower.
The skies above her were a mesmerizing canvas of blue mist and swirling silver clouds, all reflected in the endless ocean of the Sea of Thalassara that hovered in defiance of gravity.
Crystalline bridges wound around the Tower’s peak, spiraling downward toward the lush, bioluminescent forest that clung to the slopes in the distance, thick with ancient, life-laden trees whose leaves shimmered in hues unseen in the natural world.
But it was not the Sea above, nor the primeval beauty around her, that held her attention.
It was the twin thrones.
One crystalline gold, resplendent and bright like captured sunlight, standing tall with arms shaped like phoenix wings and carved from solid, evolving Primordial Crystals. It pulsed faintly as if alive, the golden crystal refracting the ambient light into dazzling shards across the polished silver stone of the tower’s floor.
Beside it, not overshadowed but equal, stood the throne of royal violet, deep and rich as the first twilight. Its surfaces rippled with fluid amethyst tones and Evolutius Crystals, the arms formed into curved draconic motifs, the back crowned with a circling white Nirvanic flame that burned softly.
Both thrones were masterpieces not just of craftsmanship but of will.
Achilles had forged them with his hands, no, his power, across the day while his Primordial Avatar carried the burdens of the world beyond and went to fight a Celestbone Stage Astral Core Ascension Titan and raise Colony Cities to the skies.
Rose had argued at first.
You don’t need two thrones, she had said, laughing softly, teasing him with her usual charm.
But he, stubborn as ever, had simply looked at her with that infuriating calm, his voice firm but gentle.
“You’re my Queen, right?”
“Then you’ll need your throne too.”
She smiled to herself now as she reached up and brushed a stray strand of her green hair back behind one ear, her fingers lingering on the weightless crown of gold vinework Achilles had woven for her.
She turned her gaze to the forest far behind them, where the Life Spring, Achilles’ great Organic Assimilation, pulsed at the heart of the mystical grove of trees, and where he was now, refining his lineage in solitude.
But she had her own responsibilities now.
And she wouldn’t falter.
Beside her, a cough sounded.
Rose glanced to her left where Granny Lila stood, her cane in hand, ancient but unbowed. The old woman’s gaze wandered over the thrones with something like awe.
She coughed out of habit even though now her body was entirely rejuvenated, and she looked like a woman in her prime.
Rose reached out a hand, tilting her head with a smile that was both playful and respectful, the way one would when convincing someone.
“Granny Lila,” she said warmly. “You’ll stay with us, right? There’s no harm in it, and you can give your input anytime you need.”
Rose uttered such words as the old woman hesitated, tapping her cane against the crystalline floor, frowning slightly.
“Child… I’m not one for thrones and all this, I really just came here to give my thanks to the one who made all these changes…”
“Please?” Rose asked, her voice soft, but it wasn’t just a request.
It was will.
Granny Lila sighed, exhaling as if shedding centuries of resistance.
“I’ll stay.”
Rose’s smile widened, bright, fierce, the kind that could command storms, and she turned and walked toward the thrones.

She didn’t hesitate.
Didn’t falter.
Wearing the purple gold Primordium Evolutius Magitech Suit that Achilles had crafted and modified just for her, somewhere between a robe added to the battle attire, elegant but commanding, she climbed the steps of the dais and seated herself upon the golden throne.
It fit her as if it had been waiting for her all along.
Even though her mind felt resistance as she remembered she was just a girl who used to work in fast food restaurants and hospitals not too long ago, constantly having to leave jobs or be fired because bosses made advancements toward her because of her beauty and she denied them.
But now…
The crystal of the gold throne gleamed under her touch, threads of gold light swirling up from the arms, catching the silver band at her wrist and the shimmering green flames of a crown atop her emerald hair.
The moment she sat, the world seemed to shift.
She wasn’t just Rose anymore.
She was the Queen that Achilles had put forth and trusted, and she could not fail at her role as she had to help him somewhat.
Under the steps of the throne, the First Thalassarian, shining with her oceanic tattoos and vibrant blue wings on her feet, Granny Lila stood to the left of the throne silently.
And then, Rose spoke.
And when she spoke, her voice carried not just across the tower but out into the vast city beyond, spilling like a living decree.
“Enter.”
HUUM!
Her words traveled.
The recently enacted purple gold gates of the Primal Neon Tower parted with a shudder, and from beyond, where Enforcer Warships hovered like silent sentries, figures began to descend and pass through the gates.
Dr. Shaw.
Luna.
Nyxaria Moonveil Lunaris.
Others followed—advisors, Overseers, aides, leaders—all dressed in the battle-worn remnants of command.
They entered in silence, some nodding, others bowing slightly, not just to her but to the empty violet throne beside her as well.
To him.
Even though he was not here, they had seen the power of his Primordial Avatar outside, and they could only respect and fear him more.
Dr. Shaw stepped forward, face grave but calm as he looked toward Rose.
“Queen Rose,” he began formally. “The Colony Cities of the Thornveil Dynasty are arriving and fusing into the Adrastia Dynasty Continent. They are in worse condition than Neon was. Infrastructure has collapsed. Food stores are gone. Disease spread and ruined their fields. Housing them, feeding them, and all other millions will prove to be a challenge even with the help of the Titan Dwarves.”
His voice faltered.
He was an intelligent man. Tactical. Calculating.
But this? This was beyond many things he knew.
He waited.
Rose didn’t take long to think.
Why would she? Achilles had given her everything she needed already.
She lifted her chin slightly, her voice sure.
“We will ignore the rules of the old world.”
Dr. Shaw blinked.
Nyxaria tilted her head, curious.
Luna’s lips parted, but she said nothing.
Rose continued.
“When the cities join us in the skies, the Sea of Thalassara will expand to them. Every citizen will be given the right to enter the Sacred Pools. They’ll become Thalassarians. And when it comes to food…”
Rose smiled.
It was a different smile than the one she had given Granny Lila.
This one was sharp. Confident.
She lifted a hand toward the Sea above.
BZZT!
Gravity became distorted.
The air shimmered.
A bubble of water descended, gliding gently until it hovered before them.
Within, a small, sleek creature swam—a fish no larger than her palm. Scales of bright blue and gold flickered as it moved, its eyes unintelligent and sharp, its fins thin and fluttering like silk.
“They’re called Aurelfins,” Rose said.
She let the bubble drift closer so all could see.
“They were part of the Thalassara inheritance King Primal. They reproduce fast, too fast really. Without predators, they’d overrun the Sea of Thalassara.”
She grinned as the Aurelfins inside the bubble multiplied before their eyes. From one, to two, to three in just moments.
“They’re perfect. Nutritious enough that eating one can sustain a person for a week. And we have millions already swimming in the reefs above. If we don’t eat them, they’ll fill the Sea.”
Dr. Shaw leaned in, eyes wide behind his glasses.
“Hunger… will be a myth in the Adrastia Dynasty,” Rose said simply, leaning back into her throne as she let the truth settle over them.
