I Chapter 51: Scorching!

I You can never truly know the feeling of horror unless you are part of it.

Rose was already part of the same feeling of horror that she experienced once before, and yet she was going through it again at this very moment.  A Leyline Fracture!

She was on a bus to work when one occurred in their vicinity, the bus flipping over as monstrosities spilled out into the streets and attacked anything they could find.

She remembered her terror back the tides of monsters.

As she came out of the Evolutius Catacombs through the very center of a Leyline Fracture, she felt all the stifling feelings that she had back then surge out!

Even though she had awakened.

Even though she should be very strong right now!

She began to breathe heavily as she saw the moment they entered the darkening skies of the City of Neon, there were flung bodies of humans in the skies as she watched one smash into the side of a building and burst apart like a tomato.

She froze as she heard the screams all around.

The screams as many scrambled to get out of the way and run.

And then, she heard the roars of beasts as they began to surge out from the hole down below!

She felt her mind buzzing as at such a moment… SAA!

She heard the sounds of vines whipping across the skies as they reached out to grab onto the humans flung into the skies, and she felt the same vine wrap around her waist as her body was smoothly taken down to the cracked road of flipped cars nearby.

Suddenly, her heavily beating heart and rising fear began to dwindle.

Right.

There was always him.

Her pillar.

Her light.

The man who always thought that she had been the one who saved him when he had nobody else.

He did not know…that he was actually the reason why she was alive today!

He was the reason why she did not end it all those years ago after she had lost yet another family and blamed herself for all of it!

In the pits of despair, she did not find any reason to keep on living.

Why?

So, more people around her could die?

So could live every day hiding her face or else face gazes and commands of men she never followed?

She did not want any of it.

She wanted it all to end!

But in the depths of her despair, she found a young man who had also lost far too much.

She saw that he seemed so hurt and lost that she told herself she would at least be there for him for a little bit.

That little bit turned into days.

Into weeks.

Into months.

And with every passing day, she found herself dug out from that pit of despair as it was him.

His presence.

His thoughtfulness.

His bad jokes.

And how every day, no matter what, he woke up to do what needed to be done.

She did not know, but she found herself so entirely dependent on him that it scared her.

She did not want him to be hurt too, so she kept him at bay.  Until…she nearly died.

He saved her again.

And from there…she saw a possibility of things just possibly working out as she was finally together with him!

So even now, as the trauma of a Leyline Fracture from back then came, it slowly faded away as she remembered his presence.

The Natural Evolutius Suit he wrapped around her body.

He felt his presence all around her as just like how he protected her this whole time; she would protect him now with everything she had!

The green flames she could use…she would scorch anything and everything that tried to hurt her Little Fatty!

BOOM!

Behind them, booms of lightning and thunder roared as dozens of beasts began to spill out like a tide.

BEEP!

BEEP!

Car alarms rang out as some were hit with bolts of lightning and exploded, screams echoing out heavily as utter chaos bloomed.

Major David grasped a device in his hand as he sent a distress call, and around them, Rose even saw Advanced Humans rushing towards this direction as eventually, 99% of them stopped where they were or even turned back in shock to run away just like normal Humans!

Because they saw the vibrant Meridians on the bodies of the Treants.

A single lightning bolt or other forms of attacks from the Poison Treants and Bone Treants would decimate them right away!

So any Body Modification Advanced Humans who saw this scene pulled back and ran away.

A single Meridian Transformation Advanced Human who happened to be nearby saw David, Eloise, and her who had vibrant Meridians as this bolstered his confidence, and he slowly came towards their direction.

“Do not let them scatter, keep them all at bay!” Major David roared out with blazing fury as his body heated up, waves of heat releasing from him as he breathed out flames towards the Treants gushing out of the fractured earth!

Eloise erupted with swirling glacial spikes around her that she also very quickly flung forward, but it was met with other attacks and the resistant bodies of multiple Meridian Transformation Evolutius Beasts as even if a fee were affected, others began to rage out.

At such a time, Rose felt her body heat up with power as the Meridian in her hand pulsed, and she asked slowly towards Achilles.

“Their bodies…” She knew that he got stronger by eating up the Beasts.

If she burned them all… So she asked him.

And his reply with that assertive voice of his that she dreamed of gave her all she needed to hear.

“Burn everything you can.

At least 50% of your power.” She nodded at his words as she could see he held reservations about showing their true power, but he also didn’t like that many would die if they did not make a move.

She knew him.

Even if he said he only cared about her, he knew that he saw himself in every child who may lose their parents.

He was just that precious as he had to be protected.

So even if she shone a little bit to take some of that spotlight off of him, she would do it!

At this moment.

Rose’s Meridian let out a deafening pulse as she raised her hand to the skies and brought it down with a fiery gaze of determination.

And in the next moment… A terrific, scorching, incandescent green flower bloomed in the skies right above the Leyline Fracture.

Its heat and verdant brilliance illuminated absolutely everything as in the dark Colony City of Neon; it was akin to a brilliant marker at this moment!
