Chapter 143: Naegi and the Extermination Team
[You have defeated ‘The Corrupted Ghoul’!]
[Gaining 1,927,834 Experience!]
Stark was quite amazed by the sheer amount of experience he had gotten, almost reaching 2 million with a single enemy, and way higher than what even Sierra gave him.
[Experience: 14737/712000]
And of course, this could only mean one thing…
~DING, DING~
He was enveloped by the golden aura twice.

[Skill Points: 8 Available]
Many panels appeared around him as his level went up, but he minimized them all as he had noticed that the ‘Extermination Team’ had already arrived.
“…” they didn’t say a word, just waiting.
Stark jumped out of the ghoul’s massive body and dropped on the ground, then began walking toward the exit portal, his stamina was already depleted from all this action, so all he wanted was to just go back to his hotel room and sleep.
[You have defeated the ‘Corrupted Ghoul’ alone, ‘SOLO’ achievement, granting better rewards!]
And just as expected, three sparkles appeared beside the ghoul’s body, in the place where Stark was.
He decided to quickly take them in and put them inside his [Spatial Inventory] before resuming walking toward the ‘Extermination Team’.
“Hey, there,” a buff man with short brown heard and a well-trimmed beard, spoke, he had a sword in his belt.
“…” Stark didn’t answer, he didn’t want to explain anything or associate with such people, and so he just tried to pass through the four of them.
The purple exit portal was only a few meters away from him.
But of course…
“Hey, we’re talking,” a brown-haired woman with hazel eyes and a longbow on her back, said as she jumped in front of him to block his path.
“…”
Stark moved to the side and passed the woman, who just looked at him and her companions back and forth, her expression stating, ‘what the hell is wrong with this guy.’
“RESTRAIN!” a woman with short white hair in a bob cut raised her magic staff and pointed it at Stark.
~FWISH, CLANG~
Powerful chains came out of the ground, grabbing Stark’s legs, arms, and torso.
They didn’t plan to kill him, obviously, but they just wanted to talk as there weren’t many people who could take down an event mini-boss by themselves, and even more so one as terrifying as the ‘Corrupted Ghoul’…
“INVINCIBLE DODGE,” but Stark just activated his skill and his invincibility frames allowed him to pass right through the chains.
“WHAT?” the mage was flabbergasted.
Of course, this ‘Extermination Team’ wasn’t weak at all, and it was apparent by their auras.

Each of them were over level 200 as they needed to make sure that they would be able to destroy the monster without any casualties.
And yet… why was that boy so nonchalant about them?
It’s almost like he didn’t even acknowledge them as strong enough for him to talk to.
“Alright…” the leader, a man with short purple hair and magenta eyes, sighed as he pulled out his sword from his belt and then…
“LIGHT FLASH!” purple lightning surrounded his body as he dashed toward Stark with intense speed, so fast it couldn’t be visible to the naked eye, and his body turned into a legitimate flash of light as he closed the distance.
“Naegi?!” the team was confused as to why their leader, who was always so calm and composed, suddenly lost his temper.
This ‘Extermination Team’ was very well known among classifiers, and they were respected as well for always coming in to save others with the brightest of intentions.
Their slogan was: “The people come first, and we’ll be there to save them!”
And yet… here he was, suddenly dashing toward Stark with the clear intent to harm him.
The reason was simple: Stark’s aura.
Naegi, the leader of the ‘Yasugi’ extermination team, a level 273 classifier, could sense auras and their nature.
And Stark’s was… very clearly evil.
Of course, the real Stark wasn’t that bad of a person (heh), but it was simply because [Domination] and its crimson nature would seem overwhelming and bad to anyone that looked at it from afar.
This was why it was so easy to intimidate people with that class.
‘This is familiar…’ Naegi thought the moment he saw Stark standing on the monster.
Stark remembered seeing that the top 100 classifier was named [Naegi, The Electric Blade], so he participated in the ‘ClassiTop Event’ from before, and this was how he got that weird feeling of having seen that kid before.
“That kid… he is going to cause chaos in the future,” Naegi’s eyes flashed, almost as if a divine vision was granted to him before using his [Light Flash] skill.
For the first time in a very long time… he believed that eliminating a human was a better solution than to protect them.
~FLASH, FWISH~
[Focus: Behind You]
The [Focus] skill warned Stark of the ambush from behind, and even allowed him to see Naegi even though he was extremely fast.
‘…’ Stark moved to the side at the last moment, and swiftly avoided the leader’s attack.
~FWASH~
The spot he was in before literally exploded from the power of the slash, and small glitters of purple aura were left there.
“…?” Naegi was surprised that the boy avoided his attack, after all, it was supposed to be almost instantaneous, and some other level 100 monsters didn’t even have the time to realize what was happening that they were dead.
And just like that, Stark reached the purple, then looked back to see the four classifiers looking straight at him, each with their weapons out.
To them, this random kid had just eliminated a level 100 threat by himself, and nonchalantly acted as if they were mere insects when they tried to talk to him.
It was weird, extremely weird…
“You can tell people you were the ones to eliminate that thing, I frankly don’t care,” Stark shrugged, “But next time…” and suddenly his aura became overwhelming even for these level 200 classifiers, “Don’t try that shit on me again.”
And so he left by passing through the portal, leaving them all bewildered at the balls he had to threaten them.
“LET’S GET THAT SHIT,” the brown-haired man shouted as he cracked his fingers and began marching toward the portal too, wanting to teach that kid a lesson.
“Forget it,” but Naegi raised his arms, “Let’s just get all the needed things from that beast before announcing that it’s eliminated…”
Frankly, none of them wanted that, not even Naegi, but they couldn’t do anything.
Deep inside… Stark’s expression and aura at that time might have scared them… just a little.
