Chapter 278: The Fourth Class
“Class Wheel,” Stark activated his skill, and the giant colorful wheel appeared before him, now only 7 sections on it.

[Pull me!]

The lever was still beside it, its aura ordering him to pull it and discover what he would be getting.

This was like gambling, but a next level one though, as it determined life and death.

What would have had happened to Stark if he didn’t get the [Domination] class instantly? He didn’t know, but surely he wouldn’t be as strong as right now.

You need to suffer to become stronger, heh?

But, right as Stark was about to pull down the lever…

[Wait!]

A crimson panel appeared in front of him.

“???”

[Aren’t you tired of the same stuff happening over and over: you reach the designated level, you can only spin the wheel once and hope for the better, rince and repeat!]

“What?” Stark was confused, he had only done that thrice until now, so it wasn’t that repetitive.

Though when something like this happened, it was just like with the [Legendary] perk: it was his class trying to help him out and make things easier.

[Introducing a new perk of the class wheel: Class Removal! Woohoo!

“Ah shit… here we go again,” he knew where this was going, but still waited to see what it was about.

[You can now decided to remove up to three classes from the wheel… PERMANENTLY!]

[Meaning that you can remove one, two or three classes that you believe you wouldn’t want to get no matter what, either because they would be useless in accordance to your current ones, or because you just don’t like them at all!]

“Oh!” and Stark actually LOVED this perk.

Of course, as the holder of the class wheel, he had thought for hours about all the different classes and which ones he wanted to get and those he didn’t, so this was a good thing.

And so…

[Select the classes you wish to remove from the class wheel, all choices are permanent and cannot go back!]

This perk was mainly here to do one thing: completely remove the classes Stark didn’t want, thus meaning that his chances of getting those he wanted increased tremendously.

[7 classes available: Magus, Beast Tamer, Warrior, Assassin, Archer, Soul Wielder, Incubus.]

And I’ll be honest with you: Stark didn’t like most of them.

Yes, that’s right, the only classes he actually wanted were Soul Wielder and Incubus, all others served zero purpose.

Why would he be a magus if [Domination] already allows him to use magic, why would he be a warrior or assassin when his fists deal much more damage than a weapon, why would he be an archer as it meant staying at the back, and last of all, why would he be a beast tamer, when he already struggled so much to keep up with [Alchemist], only using it for the basic potions!

If he had the choice, he would remove all those classes, only keeping those he wanted.

But as his choice was limited to three, he needed to make a choice.

And he made one within thirty seconds.

Ding!

[Are you sure you want to permanantly remove “Warrior”, “Assassin” and “Archer”?]

These were the only classes that required a weapon to be used, meaning useless, beast tamer and magus on the other hand could still be useful as it just meant additional skills and help.

“Sure,” he sighed.

Ding!

[You have PERMANANTLY removed “Warrior”, “Assassin” and “Archer” from the class wheel, meaning you will NOT be able to get them.]

You would usually maybe think that you could have made a bad decision at such times, especially with one this big, but right now, Stark didn’t feel anything but relief.

Boom! Boom! Boom

The three sections he chose were instantly erased from the wheel in front of him, only keeping four: Magus, Beast Teamer, Soul Wielder and Incubus.

Stark couldn’t help but feel a bit of excitement as he stared at the class wheel.

He had finally removed the classes he didn’t want, meaning that his chances of getting the ones he did want were much higher.

And now, all that was left was to spin it and see what fate had in store for him.

Ding!

[Spin the wheel!]

Stark took a deep breath before grabbing onto the lever next to the wheel with both hands and pulling it down.

The wheel spun around and around, its segments flashing by in a blur of colors.

And then… after a thirty seconds, it stopped.

Stark held his breath as he looked at the segment that pointed directly at him.

And it was…

[You have obtained “Soul Wielder”! Congratulations!]

[You can spin the wheel again at level 100!]

He let out a sigh of relief, feeling incredibly happy that he had managed to get one of the classes he actually wanted.

This meant that he could now focus on improving his skills in this area, which would undoubtedly help him in his fight against the apostles and domination trial.

But there was still one more class left on the wheel… Incubus. Would he be able to get it? Only time would tell.

But for now, Stark was content with what he had already achieved.

Another reason why he wanted [Soul Wielder] was because… of his family.

He clearly remembered how they treated him, they were a [Soul Wielder] family, and Stark not having that class was a shame to them, treating him like a dog.

But now, what could happen if he suddenly came back with the [Soul Wielder] class?

The image of their shocked expressions excited Stark so much he had to stop himself from laughing out loud.

But it didn’t matter for now, and so he moved on to checking out his new class.

Stark’s smile grew wider the more he kept reading the panel.

And at the end, once he reached [Basic Skills], it disappeared.

“…Of course,” he sighed.

Of course, this wasn’t a bad thing at ALL, [Exorcist] being the proof of that as [Domination] actually enhanced it with his aura.

But what about [Soul Wielder], would it also be enhanced with his aura? Would it become much stronger that it already is?

“Didn’t you say that you absorbed Exorcist because it was ‘weak’ and that it would be a ‘burden?'” Stark raised his eyebrows, talking to [Domination] itself, as it overtook all others, “But Soul Wielder is the second strongest class, it just doesn’t make sense.”

[Domination will make it stronger.]

[Domination is currently absorbing the ‘Soul Wielder’ class…]

Stark had already experienced it once, so he didn’t say anything, instead just looking at the small bar that formed and that was slowly filling up.

And after a minute.

Ding!

Yep, it was now confirmed, Soul Wielder had been absorbed by [Domination].

[Note: your soul CANNOT be leveled up, meaning that it is only up to you to see how you want to use it, since ‘Soul Wielders’ actually do not get these many skills!]

[Double Note: Basically, being creative is the most important part, and you can even merge it with your already existing attacks!]

The panel already said all the information, but to resume it quickly: soul wielders each have a unique soul, and they can use it however they like, only restricted by the power of their soul and their imagination, and that also means that they don’t get as many skills as other classes.

Plus, much like skills like [The Void] and [Banish], it couldn’t be leveled up.

Basically… Stark got a weird new class.
