Chapter 413: Chapter413-Only Alive There Is Hope
In an instant, three individuals swiftly decided that they must flee now.
It wasn’t that they feared death, but rather that they could not afford such a senseless sacrifice.
They needed to survive and return to their tribe to report what had happened.
Even if they were to die, they had to convey this information back; otherwise, their people would miss the opportunity entirely.
The greatest loss would be if they died along with their kin and brothers.
Seeing that these people were desperate to leave, the Zebra Tribe became intensely anxious.
They had finally gained an opportunity to teach these people a lesson, and if they let them escape now, wouldn’t all their previous efforts have been in vain?
“We can’t let them get away.”
One of them shouted, wanting to pursue.
But he was restrained by someone next to him; they all knew that as long as John was here, they could not possibly fail.
John watched them try to flee and sneered.
Thinking of escaping?
It wouldn’t be that easy.
He summoned three serpents again, which dashed toward the direction of the fleeing trio and rapidly coiled around their Windwolves.
In a tremor, the Windwolves howled pitifully and collapsed to the ground, and the riders too showed expressions of agony.
As the serpents strangled the Windwolves, they also ensnared the riders’ bodies.
They had no chance to escape and instead fell heavily to the ground, their bones nearly shattering upon impact.
In an instant, the Windwolves, whom they had thought were their protectors, had their bones completely crushed.
They fell to the ground spitting blood, with no chance to struggle.
Another felt himself being crushed tightly, as if he was about to vomit blood the next second.
As the serpent’s tail was about to sweep across him, he closed his eyes in fear.
But the next moment, he realized the serpent wasn’t going to kill him; instead, it coiled around him and moved him towards the distance.
The people of the Zebra Tribe watched all this with great excitement!
To them, the Panther Tribe had always been a formidable presence.
Their Windwolves usually required the sacrifice of two or three warriors to be killed.
But unexpectedly, this time they hadn’t even lifted a finger before their Divine Envoy had caused these Windwolves to die without a place to be buried.
Even their scouts had been killed!
“Good!”
Someone shouted, and then everyone began to roar wildly.
They all watched the unfolding scene with excitement, seemingly waiting for John’s next move.

So powerful, incredibly powerful.
Such a formidable being had completely exceeded their imagination.
They had never thought that they could have someone so powerful among them.
But now, it seemed to have completely surpassed their expectations, indeed entirely different from what they had imagined.
If they could truly harness all this power, then perhaps other unforeseen events would occur.
John looked at the man brought before him by the serpent’s tail, a smirk curving upwards, and asked softly, “Tell me, where are the rest of your people? And what are you planning to do next?”
Hearing John’s question, the man scoffed as if he had heard a joke, clearly disinclined to share anything.
“Do you think I’m a fool? Why would I possibly tell you anything?”
If he were to reveal everything, he knew that the only thing awaiting him would be certain death.
Seeing his resolute demeanor, those around couldn’t help but chuckle softly, keeping their comments to themselves.
John’s smile turned into a mocking curve as he quietly observed the man before him.
“It seems you are quite loyal, probably an important person too. So, if I were to kill you here, you’d probably die honorably as you wish.”
John had many thoughts in his mind; he indeed contemplated killing the man but reasoned he shouldn’t, as that would simply play into their hands.
Besides, there was still some information he needed to glean.
“Although I could kill you, I also have the ability to show you that sometimes death is a kinder fate than life.”
As he spoke, John manipulated the serpent to gently sway its tail in front of him, causing the man to sway along.
This man had never seen such a massive beast.
Although they could control magical creatures themselves, ones as immense and sentient as this were rare.
Mostly, they controlled wolves or big cats, never snakes.
In their view, snakes were a chilling presence, hard to manage, and symbolized something not easily controlled.
The worst part was that snakes could be extremely dangerous; without food, they might even devour their own masters.
Yet, the serpent he now faced was nothing like the snakes he had known.
This serpent seemed to be made of earth and vines intertwined, lacking the essence of a living creature and replaced by a wholly different existence.
As the serpent’s tail continued to sway, the man felt the world spinning, his stomach churning violently.
It seemed he could no longer hold back, and the next moment, he vomited uncontrollably.
Those nearby involuntarily stepped back, disgusted by the sight.
Yet, they looked at the man as if he were prey.
If he couldn’t provide a satisfactory answer, they were ready to kill him!
“You don’t have to speak if you don’t want to, but we did come here with some tasks to accomplish. For instance, slicing off your flesh bit by bit—how does that sound?”
“Then letting all your blood drain out, and finally watching you hang upside down from the rafters.”
“When there’s just a little bit of skin and flesh left on you, we’ll throw you to your own magical beasts. I’m sure, given how obedient they are to you, they’ll be quite pleased to feast on your flesh.”
Not just the man from the Eagle Tribe, but even the members of the Zebra Tribe shuddered involuntarily upon hearing such words.
It was terrifying, truly terrifying.
They had never imagined that someone who appeared so gentle on the surface could contemplate such horrifying acts.
Just the thought of these deeds was unbearable.
Yet, they knew that these men were their enemies.
As long as it helped them achieve victory, no cruelty towards the enemy was too great—unworthy of mention!
They only needed to do what they must; everything else was outside their consideration.
As the man quietly watched John, seeming to disbelieve that John would actually proceed,
John did not indulge him but simply drew his knife.
“Rest assured, I am very quick with my actions. I will not cause you any pain or severe trauma. I will meticulously scrape off every bit of your flesh.”
As John spoke, he lightly traced his knife across the man’s neck.
Then, with a forceful slash, he cut deeply.
In that instant, blood gushed out, causing the man to shudder uncontrollably.
He was utterly terrified, yet unsure of what to do.
“Do you know of a punishment where a person’s flesh is sliced off piece by piece?”
“If after 1000 cuts they are still alive, then all their sins can be forgiven.”
