Chapter 427: Chapter427-The Reunification of the Main Force
After confirming that the enemy was indeed dead, John felt a slight relief in his heart, but he was utterly exhausted and collapsed into the pit.
The air around him was thick with the stench of blood, but there was nothing he could do except endure it.
He closed his eyes and, after regaining a bit of strength, struggled to his feet.
He glanced at the corpse, sneered, and gave it a vicious kick.
“Damn it, what a piece of trash, making me go through all this trouble. And now my fragment fusion is only at 60%.”
If John hadn’t fused with the fragments, he would have been dead by now.
During the final strike, he distinctly felt the system using some other power to protect him.
After some recovery, he managed to summon another Thorned Rock Serpent.
He originally intended to leave immediately, but after a moment’s hesitation, he decided to bring the vile creature back with him.
After all, he needed to carefully consider the next steps in his plan.
Now that he had taken down the leader of the Panther Tribe, things were bound to change.
Despite the sharp, tingling sensation from the lightning strike and the overwhelming blood loss, John forced himself to stand on the Thorned Rock Serpent’s head.
Meanwhile, Vulture’s corpse was still dangling from its tail.
On Silver Tear’s side, the enemy had lost all their power, making them particularly ruthless in their attack.
This time, there was no mercy; they crippled the enemy completely.
The Zebra Tribe’s chieftain was deeply dissatisfied.
In his mind, a tribal war meant that the opposing side had to be completely eradicated for them to secure better resources.
Why merely disable them? If the enemy returned, they’d be in trouble.
“We should wait for the Divine Envoy to return before making any decisions,” Silver Tear suggested.
Though the Zebra Tribe’s chieftain was still uncomfortable, he had no choice but to hold back.
After all, as long as they followed John’s lead, that would suffice.
He couldn’t shake the regret, though, for it had been too long since they’d experienced such a complete victory.
The Eagle Tribe warriors were equally shocked.
They had never imagined that the inscriptions of the Zebra Tribe could be stripped away like that.
What in the world had happened?
They had always believed these inscriptions would enhance them, never that they could be removed.
Something was off—seriously off.
This was far beyond anything they could have imagined, leaving them speechless.
They waited for what felt like an eternity, and when John finally returned, battered and weary, they couldn’t help but gasp.
A sense of dread crept over them.

If even John was in such a state, did it mean that Vulture’s power was far greater than they had thought?
Victor, too, noticed Vulture’s corpse and the busy Vincent.
They had always been able to communicate without words, but seeing John in this state left Victor wide-eyed in disbelief.
John was the only one in this place whose power hadn’t been suppressed, yet he had still ended up like this.
How terrifying must the opponent have been? But when they saw the corpses hanging from the serpent’s tail, they burst into cheers.
Even Silver Tear felt a surge of pride and a sense of unity that he had never experienced before.
They had been through so much together, but in this moment, he felt moved to tears by their victory.
John, weary, approached them.
Everyone stared at him in amazement.
They had never expected someone as strong as John to be reduced to this state.
The Zebra Tribe’s chieftain’s gaze was particularly intense.
He realized that although the divine stone held the power of the gods, the leader of the Panther Tribe had been incredibly powerful.
Fortunately, they had John’s help; otherwise, they would have been doomed.

John was too exhausted to pay attention to the system’s notifications.
He forced himself to calm down and looked at the Zebra Tribe’s chieftain.
“Alright, it’s up to you now. Clean this place up and make sure there are no further issues before we leave.”
The Zebra Tribe’s chieftain was surprised and confused by how things had turned out, but he knew this was likely a good thing for them.
He nodded firmly, indicating he understood, and John, still struggling with his discomfort, exchanged a glance with Silver Tear and Vincent.
When Vincent returned, his expression was grim.
The look they exchanged said it all—they had been on the brink of death.
“Let’s deal with everything else when we get back. For now, let’s head back and regroup. There are still some things that need to be sorted out here,” Vincent said in a low voice, glancing at the Zebra Tribe’s chieftain.
“Leave it to me, chieftain. Make sure you handle everything cleanly; we’ll take the Divine Envoy back first.”
The Zebra Tribe’s chieftain wasn’t sure why things had turned out this way, but he knew they had sacrificed everything for their sake.
“Take the Divine Envoy back. If there’s anything else you need, just speak with the high priest.”
Victor nodded in understanding, and they all followed John back.
But they couldn’t ignore the changing looks from those around them.
After all, this was the Divine Envoy, the messenger of the gods!
Now that they were so close to John, did that mean they had gained his favor and could benefit from his power?
If so, the succession within the tribe might be in question.
As this thought crossed their minds, everyone became excited and even a little different.
With the Panther Tribe’s threat now eradicated, and their leader dead, the Eagle Tribe was now allied with them, mere defeated foes.
If they continued this way, all the skills and resources would be theirs.
Though they would have to share a third, they didn’t mind at all.
Back in the tent, Silver Tear looked at John’s pale face and couldn’t hold back any longer.
“What happened? Why do you look so terrible? Did you face something you couldn’t handle? What happened?”
Silver Tear’s questions came like a barrage, but John could only muster a bitter smile.
“At least let me have a drink first.”
