Chapter 187: Rose to Nightclub
Rose stepped out of her car, giving a quick nod to the driver before instructing him to park in the lot. She stood outside the gates of VRX Nightclub, her eyes flicking down to her phone. The location on the screen matched the address in front of her.

She frowned slightly, her brows knitting together. I thought Luna would pick a more… reserved place. But a nightclub?

Double-checking the location, Rose sighed. It was correct.

Maybe Luna made a mistake? she thought, her fingers hesitating before dialing Luna’s number again.As far as I know, Luna’s the innocent, shy type. She wouldn’t come to a place like this.

With a hint of uncertainty, Rose brought the phone to her ear.

“Luna, did you send me the wrong location? I just arrived and… it’s a nightclub,” Rose said, her voice tinged with confusion as the call connected.

“Oh, you’re here? Great! Wait there, I’ll come to get you!”Luna’s cheerful voice rang through the phone before the line abruptly cut off.

Rose lowered her phone, staring at it for a moment”What is she thinking, inviting me to a place like this?” she muttered, a sigh escaping her lips. Should I go in?I’ve never been to a nightclub before…

Her thoughts were interrupted as the door to the club swung open. A girl stepped out, her eyes scanning the street before landing on Rose. She was dressed in revealing clothes, a stark contrast to the Luna Rose remembered.

The girl’s face lit up, a smile breaking across her lips as she made her way over, her steps quick and eager.

“Luna?” Rose murmured, blinking in surprise. She barely recognized her.Luna’s style had changed dramatically in just a few years.The innocent girl Rose knew seemed transformed.

“Rose!”Luna called, her voice brimming with excitement. Without hesitation, she wrapped her arms around Rose in a warm hug”I’ve missed you so much!”

Rose stood stiffly for a moment, caught off guard, but she quickly returned the hug, albeit awkwardly.”Ah, yes,it’s been a long time,”she said, feeling a mix of nostalgia and discomfort. She feels different…but still, she’s Luna.

“I missed you so much,”Luna said, pulling back but keeping her hands on Rose’s shoulders “But it feels weird catching up out here. Let’s go inside.” She grabbed Rose’s hand, tugging her gently toward the nightclub entrance.

“Ugh, are we really going in?”Rose hesitated, her steps faltering”I’ve never been to a nightclub before…”

Luna’s eyes widened in surprise, her expression playful. “Wait, really? You’ve never been to a nightclub?”

“Yeah,”Rose admitted, feeling awkward under Luna’s curious gaze”It just doesn’t feel comfortable for me. Can’t we go somewhere else, maybe somewhere quieter?”

Luna waved her hand dismissively, chuckling softly”Oh, don’t worry so much! Just come already it’ll be fun. It’s your first time, after all!” She tightened her grip on Rose’s hand, pulling her gently but firmly toward the gates.

“Hey, Luna, wait”Rose protested, her voice rising slightly as she tried to resist. But Luna’s grip was firm, her enthusiasm infectious.Rose found herself being led forward despite her hesitation.

She sighed inwardly, a small smile tugging at her lips.She’s really changed, but… it’s still her.

“Sigh,” Rose exhaled softly. What’s the worst that could happen? It’s just a place for friends to enjoy and party.It’s not like I’m walking into a dangerous battlefield, she reassured herself. I’m only here to talk with Luna, not to party or anything. So, whatever…i’ll just catch up with her and reminisce about old times.

“ID, please,” a guard at the entrance asked, his tone curt.He barely glanced at Luna but held out his hand expectantly toward Rose.

Rose fished her ID out of her purse, handing it over with a slight frown.”Ughh,”she muttered under her breath. Why didn’t he ask Luna for hers?

After a brief inspection, the guard waved her in. Luna, without a word, grabbed Rose’s hand and led her inside, her grip firm and eager.

“Slow down,”Rose chuckled softly, glancing at her friend. “You seem so excited.”

Luna smiled, her eyes sparkling. Rose thought she’d be eager to sit down and talk everything over, catching up like old times. But as they stepped inside the nightclub, the overwhelming noise hit Rose like a wave.

The pounding bass, the flashing lights, the writhing bodies on the dance floor it was a sensory overload. Rose wrinkled her nose at the sharp scent of alcohol hanging in the air, quickly pulling out a handkerchief and holding it to her face.

She felt out of place, awkwardly observing the crowd.The way people moved, the way they laughed and danced, it was foreign to her. She couldn’t help but feel a little uneasy, her eyes darting around.

Luna, on the other hand, didn’t seem fazed. She led Rose through the throng, moving towards a quieter section near the stairs, away from the chaotic energy of the dance floor.

Rose could feel eyes on her, the gazes of strangers brushing against her skin. What are they thinking?she wondered, a shiver of discomfort running down her spine. She frowned slightly, doing her best to ignore them.

“Where are we going?”Rose asked, her voice muffled behind the handkerchief, her tone slightly anxious.

“To a private room,”Luna replied casually”We can’t talk in this noisy place, can we?”

“Ah, yes…you seem quite familiar with this place,”Rose commented, her voice laced with curiosity.

Luna chuckled softly.”I’ve been here a few times.” Her nonchalance only added to Rose’s growing unease.

They reached Room 13, and without hesitation, Luna opened the door and stepped inside. “Come on, little slowpoke,” Luna teased, glancing back with a playful smile.

“Ah, sorry. I’m just…a little overwhelmed,”Rose admitted, stepping in hesitantly.

Inside, Luna finally let go of Rose’s hand, turning to close the door behind them. Rose exhaled, feeling a small sense of relief until her eyes fell on the man sitting casually on the sofa.

“Ughhh… umm…?”Rose’s voice trailed off, her brow furrowing in confusion.

“Oh, that’s my boyfriend,” Luna said, her tone light but carrying a hint of apology. “He showed up after our plans were made. I couldn’t just send him away, could I?”
