Chapter 145: The News Of The Destruction Of The Song Clan
As the news of the Song Clan’s extermination spread like wildfire throughout the city of Wearora, it became the sole topic on everyone’s lips. Shock and disbelief rippled through the community, leaving its residents speechless and bewildered. No one could comprehend how such a tragedy could have unfolded overnight, leaving no survivors in its wake.
Speculation ran rampant as people whispered in hushed tones, trying to piece together the puzzle of what had transpired. Some speculated that the Song Clan had offended a powerful organization or individual, while others theorized that it was an internal power struggle that had turned deadly.
Regardless of the speculation, one thing was clear: the city was gripped by fear and uncertainty. The once bustling streets now lay deserted as people retreated into their homes, afraid of what the future might hold. Merchants shuttered their shops, and taverns fell silent as people grappled with the enormity of the tragedy.
Among the city’s residents was a young woman named Mei, who had grown up hearing tales of the Song Clan’s power and influence. She couldn’t believe that such a mighty clan could be brought to its knees in such a brutal manner. As she walked through the quiet streets of Wearora, she couldn’t shake the feeling of unease that settled over her like a dark cloud.
Mei knew that the city would never be the same again. The loss of the Song Clan had sent shockwaves throughout Wearora, leaving its residents on edge and fearful of what might come next. As rumors continued to swirl and speculation ran rampant, Mei couldn’t help but wonder if anyone in the city was truly safe.
Wearora Sect
The Sect Master of the Wearora Sect stood at the peak, surveying the city below with a heavy heart. The destruction of the Song Clan had sent shockwaves through Wearora, plunging the entire city into turmoil. As he gazed out at the streets below, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of unease creeping over him.
“It’s unprecedented,” he murmured to himself, the weight of the situation bearing down on him. The Song Clan had been a powerful force in Wearora for generations, and their sudden downfall had left a void that threatened to engulf the entire city.
Fang Shu, stood nearby, his expression troubled as he tried to make sense of the chaos unfolding around them. He couldn’t shake the feeling of dread that hung in the air, knowing that whoever was responsible for the destruction of the Song Clan posed a grave threat to the stability of Wearora.
“It’s a tragedy,” Fang Shu said, his voice barely above a whisper. “The Song Clan was a pillar of our community, and now…now they’re gone.”
The Sect Master nodded solemnly, his thoughts racing as he tried to formulate a plan to restore order to Wearora. He knew that the Sect would need to act swiftly and decisively if they were to prevent further bloodshed and chaos from consuming the city.
“We must remain vigilant,” he said, his voice firm with determination. “We cannot allow fear and uncertainty to rule us. The Wearora Sect will stand strong in the face of this adversity, and together, we will restore peace to our city.”
With that, the Sect Master turned and began to descend from the peak, his mind already turning to the task ahead. As he walked, he knew that the road ahead would be fraught with challenges, but he was resolved to do whatever it took to protect the people of Wearora and ensure that justice was served for the fallen Song Clan.
The Sect Master and Fang Shu continued to deliberate, unaware of Lucifer’s involvement in the destruction of the Song Clan. As they discussed their options, their minds raced with possibilities, trying to anticipate the best course of action in the face of such uncertainty.
“We must gather more information,” the Sect Master declared, his voice firm with determination. “We cannot make any rash decisions until we know the full extent of what transpired.”
Fang Shu nodded in agreement, his expression grave as he considered the implications of their situation. “But how do we proceed?” he asked, his brow furrowed in thought.
The Sect Master paused, weighing their options carefully. “We must send scouts to investigate the ruins of the Song Clan’s estate,” he said finally. “They may be able to uncover clues that will shed light on who was behind this heinous act.”
With a plan in place, the Sect Master and Fang Shu set about organizing their scouts, dispatching them to the site of the destruction to gather whatever information they could find. As they waited for word from their scouts, tension hung thick in the air, each passing moment filled with anticipation and apprehension.
Hours turned into days as they awaited news from the scouts, their anxiety mounting with each passing hour. Finally, a messenger arrived with a report from the field, and the Sect Master wasted no time in reading it.
“What have they discovered?” Fang Shu asked, his voice tinged with urgency.
The Sect Master’s expression darkened as he read the report, his worst fears confirmed by the evidence laid out before him. “It appears that someone known as Lucifer, the Devil had a hand in the destruction of the Song Clan. Little is known about him and he just appeared and disappeared before and after the extermination of the Clan” he said.
Fang Shu furrowed his brow upon hearing about Lucifer. He couldn’t help but wonder who this mysterious figure was and what vendetta he held against the Song Clan to warrant their complete extermination.
Suddenly, a realization dawned on him. He recalled the incident when members of the Song Clan stormed into the Sect, demanding the death of Tang Luo. Before Fang Shu could intervene, they were all swiftly eliminated, leaving behind only his daughter, Fang Hua, and the Holy Son, Wang Min. Tang Luo was nowhere to be found, and shortly after, news of the Song Clan’s demise spread like wildfire.
“Could it be him?” Fang Shu mused aloud, the pieces of the puzzle slowly falling into place in his mind.
