I'm The Devil - Chapter 160
Chapter 160: Leto On The Run
Mt. Olympus
Lucifer was currently on his way back to the Palace of Zeus after he met with Athena which did not turn out well for him but he was not one to give up just like that, he was going to win her one way or the other byt first he has some other things to take care of.
He has recently discovered that the time in God Plane and the Divine Celestial Myriad Plane is vastly different to Earth, so he suspected that during his 25 years in the God Plane searching and looking for Khaos with the clues given to him by the Sisters, he believed that the earth must have been populated by now and the seed he planted must have already ripped.
“Zeus, how are you doing, how have the years been on you?” Lucifer said as he walked into the Palace of Zeus where he saw him talking to a pregnant woman who looked at Zeus with tears threatening to pour out of her eyes.
Lucifer frowned as he looked at her wondering who she was.
Leto, the goddess of motherhood, stood before Zeus, her regal countenance softened by tears that shimmered in her eyes like dewdrops glistening in the morning sun. Though surrounded by the grandeur of Olympus, her gaze was fixed solely upon the king of the gods, her heart heavy with unspoken emotion.
In the presence of Zeus, the ruler of the heavens, Leto’s divine radiance seemed to dim, overshadowed by the weight of her impending motherhood. Yet, amidst the splendor of the palace, her tears bespoke a vulnerability rarely seen among the immortal pantheon.
With trembling grace, Leto reached out to Zeus, her hand trembling with emotion as she sought solace in his presence. Though her voice remained silent, her tearful gaze spoke volumes, conveying a mixture of fear, anticipation, and boundless love for the children soon to be born unto her.
“Help me, Hera, she is trying to kill me and she is not going to stop until she succeeds,” she said not registering the presence of another being in the room.
Zeus looked at Leto and sighed but frowned when he saw Lucifer walk in, “Leto go back to your chambers, we will continue this discussion later” said Zeus as he looked at Lucifer.
As Leto pleaded for help, Zeus’s initial resolve wavered under Lucifer’s presence, his attention drawn away from Leto’s distress. Sensing the shift in Zeus’s focus, Leto’s desperation deepened, her voice tinged with frustration as she watched Zeus’s indecision.
“Zeus, please,” Leto implored, her voice trembling with fear and frustration. “I cannot face Hera alone. She will not rest until she has destroyed me. You must do something to stop her!”
However, Zeus remained rooted in place, torn between his duty to protect Leto and his apprehension about confronting Hera. His hesitation only fueled Leto’s growing panic, her pleas becoming increasingly desperate as she realized that Zeus was not going to intervene on her behalf.
Frustrated and defeated, Leto cast one last pleading glance at Zeus before turning to leave, her shoulders slumping with resignation. Without Zeus’s protection, she knew that she would have to rely on her own wits to evade Hera’s wrath.
Meanwhile, Lucifer observed the scene with detached interest, his lips curling into a subtle smirk as he witnessed Zeus’s indecision. It was clear that the father of the gods was not willing to risk Hera’s anger, even at the expense of Leto’s safety.
As Leto retreated from the throne room, her fate uncertain, Zeus’s conflicted expression betrayed his inner turmoil. Deep down, he knew that he had failed Leto in her time of need, but his fear of Hera’s retribution outweighed his sense of duty. It was a decision that would haunt him in the days to come, as he grappled with the consequences of his inaction.
“That was harsh, don’t you think? Given she is also the mother of your unborn children” Lucifer said as he sat down and stared at Zeus.
“What do you want?” Zeus asked him while acting as if he did not hear his question.
Lucifer sighed as he shook his head, “You do whatever you do man, I don’t care, that’s your life but what I just want to tell you this, you should pay more attention to your family especially Hera, she is not Metis who would tolerate your nonsense” Lucifer said.
“Thanks for the advice but I don’t think that’s why you are here, so why don’t you get on with what brought you here or I will have to excuse you out,” said Zeus while frowning as Lucifer’s presence infuriates him to his core, “like you said I have a family crisis to attend to”
Lucifer leaned back in his seat, his expression inscrutable as he regarded Zeus with a hint of amusement. “As you wish,” he replied smoothly, unperturbed by Zeus’s thinly veiled hostility. “But since you’re so eager to move on, let’s get down to business.”
With a casual wave of his hand, Lucifer conjured a holographic projection of Earth, its surface swirling with vibrant colors and teeming with life. “You see, Zeus, while you’ve been preoccupied with your family drama, my Father has been busy creating something truly magnificent,” he began, his tone tinged with pride.
Zeus’s curiosity was piqued despite himself, and he leaned forward slightly, studying the holographic display with a mixture of intrigue and suspicion. “And what exactly has your Father been up to?” he asked, unable to completely suppress his interest.
Lucifer’s lips curled into a knowing smile as he gestured toward the hologram. “He’s crafted a world,” he declared, his voice resonating with authority. “A place where mortals will thrive, where they will live and love and create their own destinies.”
Zeus’s skepticism melted away as he gazed upon the intricate tapestry of life that Lucifer’s Father had woven. Despite his reservations about Lucifer, he couldn’t deny the beauty and complexity of the creation before him.
“And who, pray tell, will inhabit this world?” Zeus inquired, his curiosity overriding his lingering mistrust of Lucifer.
Lucifer’s smile widened, a glint of mischief dancing in his eyes. “Ah, that’s the best part,” he replied cryptically. “My Father has handpicked a group of extraordinary women and men to populate this new realm. But it’s the women who truly shine in this world, Zeus. Women of strength, of intellect, of beauty beyond compare.”
As Lucifer emphasized the allure of the women in his Father’s creation, Zeus felt a stirring of desire deep within him. Despite his many conquests and dalliances, he couldn’t deny the temptation of exploring this new world and the captivating beings who inhabited it.
But beneath the surface, a sense of unease lingered, a nagging suspicion that Lucifer’s motives were not as pure as they seemed. As Lucifer outlined his Father’s plans for Earth, Zeus couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more to this story than met the eye.

Lucifer looked at Zeus and smirked knowing that the bastard was going to go to Earth and check it out and in the process unable to control himself and started frolicking around with the women there which might draw those watchers to come to the Earth much quicker.
“I just told you so that you might be able to check the place out and maybe get out of Hera’s watchful gaze,” said Lucifer as he stood up and walked out of the palace leaving Zeus to contemplate on his next course of action.
Elsewhere
In the dead of night, Leto’s labored breaths echoed through the dense forest as she sprinted with all her might, her heart pounding in her chest. The moon cast its ethereal glow upon the tangled undergrowth, illuminating her path as she fled from her pursuers.
Her swollen belly strained against the fabric of her tunic, evidence of the precious life growing within her. Every step sent waves of pain shooting through her body, but she pushed on, driven by a mother’s fierce instinct to protect her unborn children.
Branches snagged at her clothing, leaving shallow scratches on her skin, but Leto paid them no mind as she raced through the shadows, her senses on high alert for any sign of danger. Behind her, she could hear the ominous sounds of pursuit—footsteps crashing through the underbrush, voices raised in anger and determination.
With a desperate cry, Leto stumbled over a gnarled root, her body crashing to the forest floor with a sickening thud. Pain lanced through her abdomen as she struggled to regain her footing, her breath coming in ragged gasps.
But there was no time to rest, no time to nurse her wounds. With a steely resolve, Leto pushed herself to her feet and staggered forward once more, her determination unwavering despite the odds stacked against her.
As she ran, Leto’s mind raced with thoughts of her children—their future uncertain, their lives hanging in the balance. She would do whatever it took to keep them safe, to ensure that they would have the chance to thrive in a world free from the tyranny of Hera and her minions.
