I'm The Devil - Chapter 171
Chapter 171: Cain Vs Seth
In the heart of the City of Wonders, amidst the bustling streets and towering structures, Seth and Cain faced off in a clash of titans that shook the very foundations of the world. With each blow, the air crackled with the raw power of their rage, their ferocity matched only by the intensity of their hatred for one another.
Seth, his muscles rippling with the strength of a werewolf, lunged forward with a primal roar, his claws slashing through the air with deadly precision. Cain, his eyes gleaming with the hunger of a Primordial Vampire, met Seth’s assault head-on, his own fangs bared in a savage snarl.
The two brothers circled each other with predatory grace, their movements a blur of speed and violence as they unleashed their fury upon one another. With every punch and kick, the ground trembled beneath their feet, the echoes of their battle reverberating through the city like thunder.
Seth’s fur bristled with anticipation as he launched himself at Cain once more, his teeth bared in a feral growl. But Cain was ready, his reflexes honed by centuries of combat, and he countered Seth’s attack with a swift kick to the chest, sending him crashing to the ground with a resounding thud.
Undeterred, Seth quickly regained his footing and charged back into the fray, his claws slashing through the air with lethal precision. Cain danced effortlessly out of reach, his movements fluid and graceful as he taunted Seth with a mocking laugh.
Enraged by Cain’s arrogance, Seth redoubled his efforts, his blows raining down upon his brother with relentless fury. But Cain was a formidable opponent, and he met Seth’s onslaught with equal force, his own strikes finding their mark with deadly accuracy.
As the battle raged on, the streets around them became a battleground, the very air alive with the crackle of magic and the scent of blood. With every blow exchanged, the brothers pushed themselves to the brink of exhaustion, their strength waning with each passing moment.
But even in the midst of their struggle, a glimmer of recognition flickered in Seth’s eyes as he beheld his brother’s face. For beneath the mask of hatred and anger, he saw the faint traces of the brother he had once known—a brother lost to the darkness, but not beyond redemption.
With a final surge of strength, Seth lunged forward, his claws poised to strike. But before he could deliver the finishing blow, he hesitated, his heart heavy with the weight of centuries of pain and regret.
In that moment of hesitation, Cain saw his chance and seized it, driving his fist into Seth’s chest with a force that sent him sprawling to the ground. And as Seth lay there, bloodied and broken, he knew that the battle was over—but the war within him still raged on.
“[Ugh]”
“You are still alive despite ripping your heart out, you are something else,” said Cain clearly surprised by the fact that Seth was able to survive that.
“Leave, you have done enough damage to him more than anyone else in his life despite being his brother,” said Lydia who went to help Seth to his feet.
Cain frowned when he heard that, he wondered who she could be as he had never seen her face before, “and who might you be?” He asked her.
“I am L…”
Before Lydia could continue any further, Seth stopped her from speaking, afraid that his brother might kill her also if he found out about their relationship.
“She is none of your business, leave, I don’t want to see you again,” said Seth as he turned around with the help of Lydia and walked away.
“Running away like the coward you’ve always been, I thought you would want to ask about what happened to Mom and Dad, or about your wife and your children, but I guess you are way past that,” said Cain trying to anger Seth.
Seth stood on his track as all the memories of his family flooded back at him, the laughs of his children, everything that made his life meaningful back then, they all came back rushing at him.
“Don’t listen to him, he is just trying to rile you up, remember what we talked about, remember the life we are trying to build here, do not let him ruin that for you” said Lydia trying to stop Seth from doing anything stupid as she knew how angry he can get when he remembers about his family.
“You and her now? And trying to build a family here, how ridiculous” said Cain who saw the surprised expression on Lydia’s face when she realized that he must have heard what she said, “perks of being an immortal being with powers beyond the compression of the human brain” he said while pointing at his ear.
Seth’s fists clenched at his sides as he struggled to control the surge of anger threatening to consume him. Every fiber of his being yearned to lash out at Cain, to unleash the full force of his wrath upon the man who had caused him so much pain. Yet, Lydia’s words echoed in his mind, a beacon of reason amidst the tempest of emotions raging within him.
Taking a deep breath, Seth forced himself to calm down, to push aside the memories of his past and focus on the present moment. He turned to Lydia, gratitude shining in his eyes for her unwavering support.
“You’re right, Lydia. I won’t let him get to me,” Seth said, his voice steady despite the turmoil swirling within him.
Turning back to face Cain, Seth squared his shoulders, his resolve firm. “You may have your powers and your immortality, but you will never understand what it means to build a life, to find love, and to cherish every moment with those you hold dear. That is something you will never have, Cain,” Seth declared, his voice tinged with sadness and defiance.
Cain’s lips twisted into a cruel smirk, his eyes gleaming with malice. “Oh, is that how it is going to be little brother, you know I can do to this new one what I did to the last one,” he said causing Seth to lose any sense of his reasoning.
Seth’s breaths came in ragged gasps as the beast within him stirred, its primal instincts surging to the forefront of his mind. With a guttural growl, he felt the transformation begin, his muscles bulging and bones elongating as he morphed into his wolf form.
Lydia’s eyes widened in school and fear as she watched Seth’s transition, her heart pounding in her chest.
“Seth, no” she cried out, reaching out a hand towards him in a futile attempt to stop him.

But Seth was beyond reason now, consumed by the primal rage burning within him. With a fierce snark, he launched himself at Cain, his claws extended and fangs bared in a silent promise of violence.
Cain’s smirk widened into a malicious grin as he welcomed the challenge, his own powers crackling around him like dark lightning. With a swift movement, he dodged Seth’s initial attack, his movements fluid and precise as he countered with a barrage of the dark of dark energy.
The two brothers clashed in a whirlwind of fury and power, their blows echoing through the night air as they fought tooth and claw. Lydia could only watch in horror as the battle unfolded before her, her heart torn between fear for Seth’s safety.
As the battle raged on, Seth felt the beast within him driving him forward, urging him to destroy his brother at any cost. His senses were heightened, his reflexes with a primal ferocity that bordered on madness.
But even as he unleashed his fury upon Cain, a part of Seth remained tethered to his humanity, to the love and loyalty he felt towards Lydia. It was her presence that gave unwavering belief in him and fueled his determination to emerge victorious.
With a final, desperate lunge, Seth unleashed the full force of his power upon Cain, his claws tearing through flesh and bone as he struck a decisive blow. Cain staggered backward, his smirk faltering for the first time as he realized the gravity of his situation.
But before Seth could deliver the final blow, Lydia’s voice cut through the chaos, her words reaching him like a beacon of light in the darkness. “Seth, stop! This isn’t who you are!”
For a moment, Seth hesitated, the primal rage within him warring with his human conscience. And then, with a mighty roar, he reined in the beast within, his form reverting to that of a man as he stood panting and battered before his fallen brother.
“I have won, I would have killed you right now but I am not you, who would kill anyone just because you just enjoy doing that, I am the better brother, just like what mother and father said” said Seth as he stared down at Cain who only has a smirk on his face.
