I'm The Devil - Chapter 174
Chapter 174: The Tales Of Cain And Seth
“The World’s First Murderer, that’s absurd, we all know that there has been a series of murders since the day we were born, he can’t be the first murderer, I mean how old would he be and look at his appearance, he is still so young for someone to be that old”
Mabel said not buying what Celeste said, she just couldn’t believe that Cain whom she just served a goblet of wine just a few minutes ago would be the first murderer.
Everyone knew of the story of the first murderer even if they didn’t know the name, they knew that he was the first born son of the first couple and that was like thousands of years ago.
And nobody has lived that old, none that they could tell.
Celeste sighed, knowing that convincing Mabel and the others would not be easy. The truth was difficult to accept, especially when it challenged everything they thought they knew about the world.
“I understand your skepticism, Mabel, but the truth is often stranger than fiction,” Celeste replied, her voice tinged with sadness. “Cain may not appear to be as old as he truly is, but that is the nature of his new species, he calls himself the first Vampire. He has walked this earth for millennia, leaving a trail of bloodshed and destruction in his wake.”
She paused, allowing her words to sink in before continuing. “As for being the first murderer, it is not a title he sought, but one that was thrust upon him by his own actions. He killed his own brother in a fit of jealousy and rage, forever staining his hands with blood.”
The others exchanged uneasy glances, unsure of how to process this revelation. The idea that someone among them could be responsible for such heinous crimes was difficult to comprehend.
“But what can we do about it?” asked Mabel, her voice trembling with fear. “If Cain is truly as powerful as you say, how can we hope to stop him?”
Celeste’s expression hardened, her eyes flashing with determination. “We must gather our strength and stand together against him. We cannot allow his reign of terror to continue unchecked. With the combined power of the celestial council and our parents, we can defeat him once and for all.”
And with that, Celeste began to lay out a plan, outlining the steps they would need to take to confront Cain and put an end to his tyranny. As she spoke, a sense of resolve filled the room, driving out the lingering doubts and fears. They may be facing an ancient and formidable foe, but they would not back down without a fight.
With that Celeste left the bar to inform the Celestial Council of her latest findings and how they should go about it.
Mabel on the other hand was still thinking about how Cain looked so young despite being so old. She wanted to know the secret to his youth, so that she could also retain her youthful appearance.
No body wants to get old, especially a woman as beautiful as her.
So she decided to close really early tonight and go look for Cain herself before Celeste and the rest of the Celestial Council finds him first.
As Mabel closed up the bar for the night, her mind was consumed with thoughts of Cain and his mysterious youthfulness. She couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more to him than met the eye, and she was determined to uncover his secret.
Venturing out into the night, Mabel made her way through the darkened streets of the city, her senses on high alert. She knew that finding Cain would not be easy, but she was prepared to do whatever it took to uncover the truth.
Hours passed as Mabel searched tirelessly, her determination driving her forward despite the late hour. Finally, just as she was beginning to lose hope, she caught sight of a familiar figure lurking in the shadows.
Cain.
He was standing alone on a deserted street corner, his eyes gleaming with an otherworldly intensity. Mabel approached him cautiously, unsure of what she would say or do when she finally confronted him.
“Cain,” she called out, her voice wavering slightly with nervousness. “I need to talk to you.”
Cain turned to face her, his expression unreadable. “What do you want?” he asked, his voice cold and indifferent.
Mabel took a deep breath, steeling herself for what was to come. “I want to know your secret,” she said boldly. “How is it that you remain so young despite being thousands of years old?”
Cain’s eyes narrowed, a hint of amusement flickering across his features. “Ah, so that’s what this is about,” he said with a smirk. “You now know about me, don’t you?”
Mabel nodded eagerly, her curiosity piqued. “Yes, I need to know,” she insisted. “Please, tell me.”
Cain chuckled darkly, his gaze lingering on Mabel’s face. “I’m afraid it’s not something I can share with just anyone,” he said cryptically. “But perhaps, if you’re willing to make a deal…”
Mabel’s heart raced with excitement as she listened to Cain’s words. She knew that striking a deal with him could be dangerous, but the lure of eternal youth was too tempting to resist.
“What kind of deal?” she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Cain’s smirk widened into a predatory grin. “Oh, just a small favor in exchange for my secret,” he said, his eyes glittering with malice. “Something that only you can provide.”

Cain was going to use Mabel to get the person who figured out his identity.
He knew nobody should have known him and tell who he was just by looking at him.
There must be something that was used or someone who has a special ability to see things.
He wants that someone to look into his own problem which is making more of his Kind

As Celeste stood before the Celestial Council, her expression grave and determined, she recounted the ancient tale of Adam and Eve and their two sons, Cain and Seth.
“My esteemed council members,” Celeste began, her voice commanding the attention of all those present. “I bring before you a matter of great importance, one that has been buried in the annals of history for millennia.”
The council members leaned forward in their seats, their eyes fixed intently on Celeste as she spoke.
“Long ago, in the dawn of creation, there lived two brothers: Cain and Abel,” Celeste continued, her voice resonating with the weight of ages past. “These brothers were the first of their kind, born of the union between Adam and Eve, the progenitors of all humanity.”
A murmur of curiosity rippled through the council chamber as Celeste’s words sank in. The story of Cain and Seth was one of legend, shrouded in mystery and intrigue.
“Cain, the elder brother, was consumed by jealousy and resentment towards his younger sibling,” Celeste explained, her eyes scanning the faces of the council members. “Driven by his own ambition and thirst for power, Cain committed the ultimate sin: Murder.”
Gasps of shock and horror echoed through the chamber as Celeste revealed the dark truth of Cain’s betrayal.
“Castaway from his home, Cain took his twin sister and together they made a family. Over the years, Cain grew bored with his mortal life and decided to take a vial given to him by someone of an unknown origin and succumbed to the darkness and became the very first Vampire. A creature that feeds on blood for substance, little is known about his species since he is the only one of his Kind”
The council members listened intently as Celeste recounted the ancient conflict between the two brothers, a struggle that had echoed down through the ages.
“But the tale does not end there,” Celeste said solemnly, her gaze sweeping across the assembly. “Adam and Eve begat another child whom they named Seth. Now Seth grew into a fine man, married his sister, and began a family of his own, but the good times never last as tragedy struck once more in the form of Cain who derives pleasure in messing with the lives of his siblings and family members. He killed Seth and attacked his family with swamps of animals almost wiping out the lineage of Seth. But that’s not the end of Seth who returned as the very first Werewolf and is hell-bent on killing his brother, Cain”
A hush fell over the council chamber as Celeste’s words sank in, the gravity of their significance weighing heavily on the hearts of all those present.
As Celeste finished recounting the tragic tale of Cain and Seth, a somber silence descended upon the council chamber. The members of the Celestial Council sat in stunned silence, grappling with the enormity of the revelation.
Adam and Eve’s family history, once shrouded in myth and legend, had been laid bare before them. The tale of sibling rivalry, betrayal, and vengeance was a stark reminder of the fragile balance between light and darkness.
“The sins of the past have come back to haunt us,” Celeste continued, her voice resonating with urgency. “Cain’s thirst for power and his relentless pursuit of destruction threaten to unravel the very fabric of our world.”
