I'm The Devil - Chapter 195
Chapter 195: Pocket Dimension
“So what should we do now, wait for our death?”
Semjaza’s gaze softened as he looked at Seraphina, seeing both the fear and determination in her eyes. “No, Seraphina,” he said gently. “Waiting for death is not your destiny. There is still hope, and there are actions you can take to protect yourselves.”
Lord Aurelius leaned forward, his expression resolute. “Tell us what we must do, Supreme Lord. How can we ensure our survival?”
Semjaza took a deep breath, his eyes scanning the faces of the council members. “You are beings who were never meant to exist, and that is why the purging will affect you. To survive, you must find a way to shield yourselves from the coming crisis.”
Seraphina’s determination flared. “So what must we do? How can we shield ourselves from a force so powerful?”
“There is a way,” Semjaza replied. “You must use the knowledge and skills you have acquired to build a sanctuary, a place that can hide and protect you from the crisis. This sanctuary must be constructed with the utmost care and precision, utilizing both the advanced technology and magic you have mastered.”
High Sage Elara nodded, her mind already racing with possibilities. “We need to create something that can withstand the purging’s effects. A hidden haven that can shield us completely, like a pocket dimension.”
Semjaza continued, “Exactly, and you will need to work together, combining your strengths and knowledge. The sanctuary must be fortified with powerful enchantments and advanced technologies to ensure it remains undetected and impervious to the purging.”
Councilor Thane spoke up, his voice filled with resolve. “We will need to act quickly and decisively. Time is not on our side.”
Lord Aurelius rose from his seat, his expression one of steely determination. “We will not wait passively for our fate to be decided,” he declared. “We will fight for our survival. We will build this pocket dimension and ensure it is strong enough to protect us and those we care about.”
Seraphina nodded, her resolve mirrored in the faces of her fellow council members. “We will begin planning immediately. We will gather our resources and start the construction of the pocket dimension.”
With the council’s resolve solidified, the atmosphere in the chamber shifted from one of anxiety to one of determined purpose. Semjaza’s presence infused them with hope and a clear sense of direction.
Seraphina stepped forward, her eyes scanning the room. “We must act quickly. Time is not on our side, and we have much to accomplish. High Sage Elara, I need you to oversee the enchantments. Ensure they are powerful enough to shield us from any external forces.”
Elara nodded, her mind already formulating the complex spells needed. “I will gather our best enchanters and begin work immediately.”
“Councilor Thane,” Seraphina continued, “I need you to coordinate with our engineers and technomancers. The integration of technology and magic must be seamless for this to work.”
Thane inclined his head. “Consider it done. We will start by drawing up the blueprints and securing the necessary materials.”
“Lord Aurelius,” she said, turning to their leader, “your leadership will be crucial. We need your wisdom and strategic mind to oversee the entire project and ensure everything runs smoothly.”
Aurelius nodded, his expression firm. “I will do whatever it takes to ensure our survival.”
Semjaza watched the flurry of activity with a sense of pride. These beings, though unintended, had become remarkable in their own right. “Remember,” he said, his voice carrying a weight of authority, “unity is your greatest strength. Work together, support each other, and you will succeed.”
With a final nod from Semjaza, the council members dispersed, each tasked with a critical role in the construction of their sanctuary. The chamber buzzed with the energy of their collective resolve.
As the days turned into weeks, the council worked tirelessly. High Sage Elara and her team wove intricate enchantments, layers upon layers of protective spells that would make the pocket dimension impenetrable. Councilor Thane and the engineers designed and constructed the framework, integrating advanced technology with magical elements, ensuring the sanctuary would be self-sustaining and hidden from detection.
Seraphina coordinated the efforts, her leadership proving invaluable in maintaining morale and focus. Lord Aurelius provided strategic oversight, his experience and wisdom guiding them through potential pitfalls and challenges.
One evening, as the sanctuary neared completion, Semjaza gathered the council for a final inspection. They stood before the entrance to the pocket dimension, a shimmering portal that radiated with both technological and magical energy.
“We did it, we have secured our survival now we just have to send out signals to Celeste and the rest of the council members,” said Seraphina.
“We can do that inside, but doing so, we will have to forgo the matter of Cain,” said Councilor Thane.
“We have to, if we want to survive, we can’t focus much on the matters of Cain and if luck is with us, we might be rid of him during the purging,” said Lord Aurelius.
Semjaza smiled, a rare expression of warmth. “Then enter your sanctuary, and may it protect you through the coming crisis. Your future is now in your hands.”
One by one, the council members stepped through the portal, entering the sanctuary they had worked so hard to build. As Seraphina passed through, she felt a surge of hope. They had not been meant to exist, but now they had a purpose and a chance to protect both themselves and humanity.
And with that, the portal closed behind them, sealing their sanctuary from the world outside, ready to withstand the purging and whatever else the future might hold.

“I want you all to wreak havoc on the earth, destroy everything in your path, give the humans hell,” said a man with a hood hiding his face, but one could see the celestial energy radiating from him and a very strong one at that, “I want you to corrupt them so much that He would have no choice to destroy his own creation. If I’m going down, I am taking everyone of His beloved creations down with me”
