I'm The Devil - Chapter 233
Chapter 233: God Of Acranum
The being was tall and imposing, its features both beautiful and terrifying. Its eyes glowed with an inner light, and its presence radiated a power that made Elandor feel small and insignificant.
“Bloody hell,” the being muttered, its voice a deep, resonant baritone that sent a shiver down Elandor’s spine. The being looked around, taking in its surroundings with a mixture of curiosity and irritation.
Elandor stumbled backward in fear, his legs feeling like jelly. His heart pounded in his chest as he tried to comprehend what he had done. The figure’s aura was overwhelming, a palpable force that made it difficult to breathe.
The being turned its gaze to Elandor, its eyes narrowing slightly as it studied him. “Where am I?” it demanded, its voice carrying an otherworldly authority.
Elandor’s mind raced. He had read about beings of immense power, but nothing could have prepared him for the reality of their presence. “I-I don’t know,” Elandor stammered, his voice trembling. “I just followed the instructions in the book. I didn’t mean to summon… you.”
Lucifer sighed deeply, running a hand down his face in exasperation. “Bloody hell,” he muttered again, this time with a touch of resignation. “I might as well ask—what world am I in now?”
“Oh, this is Arcanum,” Elandor replied, his voice still shaky. “It’s a world brimming with magic and mana. The fabric of our existence is intertwined with the arcane.”
Lucifer nodded slowly, his gaze drifting to the ancient stone altar and the glowing runes. “Arcanum,” he repeated, a faint hint of recognition in his tone. “I see.”
Gathering his courage, Elandor took a tentative step forward. “How… how did you get here?”
Lucifer’s eyes flickered back to Elandor, and for a moment, the boy felt the full weight of the being’s scrutiny. “That’s what I’d like to know,” Lucifer said, his voice low and measured. “Explain how you performed this summoning.”
Elandor swallowed hard and raised a trembling hand, pointing to the book lying open on the altar. “The book… it had everything I needed. I followed the instructions, gathered the components, and performed the ritual.”
Lucifer’s eyes fell on the book, and he moved toward it with a grace that belied his imposing presence. He picked it up, his fingers tracing the faded gold letters on the cover. “How to Gain Magic,” he read aloud, a smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth. “A rather deceptive title for a summoning manual.”
Lucifer flipped the book open, his eyes skimming the ancient text with a speed and precision that suggested a deep familiarity with its arcane contents. He read silently for a few moments, his expression shifting from mild amusement to thoughtful contemplation.
When he finished, Lucifer closed the book with a soft thud and glanced back at Elandor. “It has not even been up to five thousand years since the Omniverse was created,” he mused, “but this world has already become advanced enough to create a spell capable of summoning me.” He shook his head slightly, a bemused smile playing on his lips.
Elandor’s eyes widened in shock. Five thousand years? The Omniverse? The implications of Lucifer’s words were staggering. Just who had he summoned? This being seemed to possess knowledge and experience that far exceeded anything Elandor had ever encountered or even imagined.
Lucifer caught Elandor’s astonished gaze and chuckled softly. “Yes, you summoned someone rather… unique,” he said. “But not just anyone can summon me, you know. That makes you a little special.”
Elandor’s mind reeled. The revelation that he had successfully summoned a being older than his world, an entity who spoke casually of the creation of the Omniverse, was almost too much to process. “Who are you, really?” he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Lucifer’s smile widened, his eyes gleaming with a mix of amusement and mystery. “I am known by many names across the Omniverse,” he said. “Lucifer is just one of them. In some realms, I am regarded as a fallen angel, in others, a deity of immense power. My true nature is beyond simple labels.”
Elandor felt a shiver run down his spine. He had read stories and legends about Lucifer, but he had never truly believed them. Yet here he was, standing before the very being those tales spoke of, feeling both awed and terrified.
Lucifer stepped closer, his presence both comforting and intimidating. “You have potential, Elandor,” he said. “The fact that you were able to perform this summoning speaks volumes about your latent abilities. With proper guidance, you could achieve great things.”
Elandor swallowed hard, trying to steady his racing thoughts. “What do you want from me?” he asked, his voice trembling.
Lucifer chuckled, a deep, resonant sound that seemed to reverberate through the clearing. “I should be the one asking you that,” he said, amusement dancing in his eyes. “After all, you were the one who summoned me.”
Elandor nodded slowly, his mind racing with conflicting thoughts. He had to think of a way to get the book from Lucifer and somehow reverse the summoning. He hadn’t known what he was signing up for; all he wanted was to gain magic like his peers, attend a prestigious academy, and become powerful in his world. Nobody had told him he was going to meet one-on-one with the God of Arcanum.
“Yes, I… I suppose I did,” Elandor said, trying to keep his voice steady.
Lucifer raised an eyebrow, sensing Elandor’s turmoil. “You look conflicted, young mage. Tell me, what did you hope to achieve by summoning such power?”
Elandor hesitated, choosing his words carefully. “I wanted to gain magic, to be powerful like the other mages. To attend a prestigious academy and prove myself. I… I didn’t expect this.”
Lucifer’s expression softened slightly, a hint of understanding in his eyes. “Ambition is not a crime, Elandor. Many seek power, but few understand its true nature or the cost it demands.”
Elandor shifted uneasily. “But… you’re Lucifer. The God of Arcanum. How could I have known? I just wanted to gain magic.”

Lucifer regarded him thoughtfully. “The titles and stories that surround me are many, each colored by the beliefs and fears of different worlds. After the Omniverse was created, countless realms developed their own legends and deities. In some, I am seen as the ultimate creator. In others, my brother Michael holds that title, with me cast as the villain. It’s the same with God and Khaos, each seen in different lights depending on the world.”
Elandor listened, his fear mingling with curiosity. He had heard tales of these entities, but to hear them discussed so casually was surreal.
Lucifer continued, his voice resonant with ancient knowledge. “Then there are the three primal entities—God, Khaos, and Metatron—believed by some to be the architects of existence. And in other realms, the pantheons of minor deities like Zeus and Odin are revered as the ultimate gods. Belief shapes reality in many ways, Elandor.”
The young mage felt a chill as he absorbed Lucifer’s words. The vastness of the Omniverse and the complexity of its divine beings was overwhelming. “So… what are you, really?”
Lucifer’s eyes sparkled with a mix of amusement and profound knowledge. “I am but a mere son of God, the devil,” he answered with a touch of irony. “My nature and purpose have been debated and misunderstood across the countless worlds of the Omniverse. But that’s not why we are here, Elandor.”
Lucifer’s gaze bore into Elandor’s, his presence both overwhelming and strangely reassuring. “We are here because you summoned me. You must have had a reason, a desire that led you to perform such a powerful ritual. So, tell me, what is it that you truly desire?”
Elandor hesitated, the weight of Lucifer’s question pressing down on him. He had to choose his words carefully, to be honest yet cautious. “I… I want to gain magic. To be powerful like the other mages. To attend a prestigious academy and prove myself. I want to make a name for myself, to be recognized and respected.”
Lucifer nodded slowly, his expression thoughtful. “Power, recognition, respect. These are worthy goals, but they come with great responsibility and often a heavy price. Are you prepared for the sacrifices that may be required to achieve such power?”
Elandor swallowed hard, feeling the gravity of Lucifer’s words. “I… I think so. I just want to be more than what I am now. I want to have control over my own destiny.”
