Chapter 254: Sending The Celestial Arts Students
Thalia’s eyes glimmered with curiosity as she waited for Epsilon’s response.
Elsewhere
Lucifer, who was sitting in his dimly lit office, a heavy oak desk laden with ancient tomes and mystical artifacts. A scrying orb on his desk shimmered with images of Epsilon’s interactions in the village. He had been monitoring her closely ever since her arrival in the Arcanum World, keenly aware of the potential disruption she could bring.
Lucifer leaned back in his chair, contemplating the implications of Epsilon’s presence. He knew she wasn’t from their world, and her advanced technology was unlike anything the inhabitants of Arcanum had ever seen. The balance of their world was delicate, and any significant disruption could have far-reaching consequences.
He decided it was time to involve his students. They needed real-world experience, and this situation provided the perfect opportunity. Reaching a conclusion, Lucifer stood and summoned his students with a flick of his wrist. A magical circle appeared on the floor, and moments later, his five students—Aria, Rylan, Elena, Darius, and Elandor—stood before him, ready and attentive.
“Thank you for coming on such short notice,” Lucifer began, his tone serious. “There has been a disturbance in a village to the east. I want you to investigate and resolve the matter.”
The students exchanged curious glances. “What kind of disturbance, Master?” Aria asked.
Lucifer’s eyes narrowed slightly. “You’ll have to find out for yourselves. Consider it a test of your abilities and judgment. Approach the situation with caution, and remember that things may not be as they seem.”
The students nodded, understanding the gravity of their task. They knew their master well enough to realize he was withholding information for a reason. Without further ado, they left the office to prepare for their journey.
Lucifer watched them go, a faint smile playing on his lips. This mission would test their skills and their ability to adapt to unexpected challenges. Satisfied with his decision, he turned his attention back to the scrying orb. It was time for him to return to the God Plane, but he couldn’t leave the academy unattended.
With a wave of his hand, he created a clone of himself, identical in every way. The clone would manage affairs at the academy in his absence. Lucifer stepped through a shimmering portal that materialized before him, leaving the clone to take his place.
The portal closed behind him, and Lucifer found himself in the ethereal expanse of the God Plane.
Lucifer stepped into the vibrant, swirling energies of the God Plane, an otherworldly realm where the laws of nature and magic intertwined seamlessly. Here, reality was fluid, constantly shifting with bursts of color and light. He had only just arrived when he was thrust into the midst of a fierce battle.
Before him stood two figures locked in a deadly struggle. On one side was Thor, the mighty god of thunder. Towering and muscular, Thor wielded his legendary hammer, Mjölnir, with ease. His long, blond hair flowed wildly around his stern face, and his eyes blazed with an electric blue light. Lightning crackled around him, dancing in the air and illuminating the battlefield with blinding flashes.
Opposing him was a figure who bore a striking resemblance to Loki, the trickster god. Slender and lithe, Loki moved with a dancer’s grace, his features sharp and cunning. His dark hair framed a face marked by a perpetual smirk, and his green eyes glinted with mischief. Clad in black and green armor, Loki brandished a staff that pulsed with dark, chaotic energy.
As Lucifer materialized between the two gods, a bolt of lightning hurled by Thor streaked towards him. The raw, furious energy of the bolt threatened to consume him, but as it neared, it disintegrated into harmless sparks before it could touch him. Thor and Loki both paused, momentarily stunned by Lucifer’s sudden and unscathed appearance.
Thor’s eyes narrowed as he assessed the unexpected intruder. “Who dares interrupt our battle?” he demanded, his voice a rumbling growl. He tightened his grip on Mjölnir, ready to strike if necessary.
Lucifer stood calmly, the disintegrated remnants of the lightning bolt still sparkling faintly around him. He regarded Thor with a measured gaze, the corners of his lips curling slightly in amusement.
Loki, ever the opportunist, took a step back, his eyes flicking between Thor and the newcomer. “Yes, who indeed?” he echoed, his tone laced with sarcasm. “It takes a special kind of fool to stand between two gods in combat.”
Lucifer’s smile widened as he took in the sight of the two gods before him. “Vikings,” he began, his voice smooth and unruffled, “I can see why you are eager to prove yourselves. But know this: you stand before someone far beyond your comprehension.”
Thor’s eyes blazed with anger. “Vikings? Who do you think you are, to address us so lightly?” He raised Mjölnir, lightning crackling around the hammer.
Loki tilted his head, his expression one of calculating curiosity. “Indeed, you speak with great confidence. Tell us, who are you to claim such superiority?”
Lucifer chuckled softly, his gaze unwavering. “I am Lucifer Morningstar,” he said, his voice resonating with power. “The Morningstar, the Lightbringer, and the most feared existence in the God Plane.”
Both Thor and Loki froze at his words. Recognition and a hint of fear flickered across their faces as they processed the revelation. Thor’s grip on Mjölnir slackened slightly, the lightning dissipating as he lowered the hammer.
Loki, ever the quick thinker, was the first to recover. He offered a theatrical bow, his smirk returning. “Ah, the famed Lucifer Morningstar. Forgive our rudeness; we did not recognize you.”
Thor’s demeanor shifted from hostility to wary respect. “Lucifer,” he acknowledged, his voice now steady. “We were not aware it was you. What brings you here?”
Lucifer waved a hand dismissively. “No offense taken. I merely passing by” He glanced between the two gods. “Your conflict is of little concern to me, but I must admit, it has been quite entertaining.”
Loki straightened, his smirk fading as he regarded Lucifer with a mix of respect and caution. “We are honored by your presence, Lucifer. Your reputation precedes you.”
Thor nodded, his earlier anger now replaced by a solemn respect. “Indeed. If there is anything we can do to assist you, we will.”

Lucifer inclined his head slightly. “For now, continue your battle if you wish. I have other matters to attend to.”
With that, Lucifer turned away from the two gods, his presence already shifting the energies of the realm around him. As he walked away, he could hear the renewed clash of Thor and Loki resuming their battle, albeit with a newfound sense of restraint and respect for the Morningstar.
Lucifer’s mind returned to his students and the mission they were embarking on. The God Plane was filled with conflicts and challenges, but the real test lay in the Arcanum World, where his students would face an unknown threat and prove their worth. He knew that their journey would shape them in ways they could not yet comprehend, and he would be watching closely, ready to intervene if necessary.
