I'm The Devil - Chapter 259
Chapter 259: Medusa Gets Her Revenge
Lucifer’s eyes narrowed as he focused his energy, channeling his power into the young woman. The snakes in Medusa’s hair began to recede, transforming back into flowing locks, though her eyes retained a reptilian quality. The transformation was halted, and Medusa retained the ability to turn anyone to stone with a single gaze.
Athena, though silent, stepped back, her expression a mixture of frustration and contemplation. She understood Lucifer’s point and knew that Poseidon was the true culprit. However, her pride prevented her from offering an apology. Instead, she turned away, her mind already plotting ways to seek retribution against Poseidon for defiling her sacred temple.
Lucifer gently lifted Medusa to her feet, his presence radiating a sense of calm and protection. “Medusa, you are safe now,” he reassured her. “I have halted the transformation, but you must be cautious. Your gaze now holds great power. Use it wisely.”
Medusa, still trembling but filled with gratitude, nodded. “Thank you, Lucifer. I will never forget your kindness.” Her voice was stronger now, the terror beginning to fade.
Lucifer turned to Athena, his tone respectful but firm. “Athena, we both know that justice must be served. Poseidon is the one who should face consequences for his actions. I trust you will see to that.”
Athena’s eyes flashed with a dangerous light. “Rest assured, Poseidon will not escape unscathed. I will make sure he pays for what he has done.”
With a final nod, Lucifer led Medusa out of the temple. As they walked through the serene valley, Medusa looked up at Lucifer, her eyes filled with both fear and hope. “What will happen to me now?” she asked quietly.
Lucifer smiled gently. “You will find your way, Medusa. You have been given a gift, albeit a dangerous one. Use it to protect yourself and those who need it. Remember, you are stronger than you know.”
Medusa nodded, her resolve hardening. “I will. Thank you, Lucifer. I will find a way to make this power a force for good.”
Lucifer’s smile turned slightly more serious as he looked at Medusa. “Forget about doing good for now, Medusa. Focus on yourself. Survive, and learn to control your power. The world can be a cruel place, and you need to be ready to protect yourself.”
Medusa’s eyes widened slightly, but she nodded, understanding the wisdom in his words.
“And while we’re on this matter,” Lucifer continued, his voice lowering conspiratorially, “why don’t we make Poseidon pay for what he did to you? Waiting for Athena to deal with her uncle could take decades, if not centuries. Justice shouldn’t wait that long.”
Medusa looked at him, a mix of fear and determination in her gaze. “But how? He’s a god, powerful and vengeful. How can I stand against him?”
Lucifer looked at Medusa as if he were speaking to someone utterly naïve. “Do you know who is talking to you right now?” he asked, his voice dripping with a blend of arrogance and authority. “I am Lucifer Morningstar, the second most powerful being in existence. Children like Poseidon are like ants to me. I could squash them as effortlessly as I breathe.”
Medusa’s eyes widened in realization, her awe evident. “I… I didn’t realize,” she stammered, her fear giving way to a newfound respect and hope.
Lucifer’s expression softened slightly. “That’s understandable. You’ve been through a lot. But know this: with me by your side, you have nothing to fear from Poseidon or any other god who would dare cross us.”
Medusa’s resolve solidified further, her fear transforming into a fierce determination. “What do we do next?” she asked, her voice steady.
Lucifer smirked, a glint of mischief in his eyes. “We don’t waste any time,” he said.
With a snap of his fingers, the serene valley around them dissolved, replaced by the shimmering depths of the ocean. They stood at the entrance of Poseidon’s grand palace, an imposing structure of coral and seashell, lit by the ethereal glow of bioluminescent sea creatures. The water was cool and filled with the muted sounds of marine life.
Inside the palace, Poseidon lounged on a throne made of giant clam shells, being attended to by a group of beautiful nymphs. His eyes were closed, and he seemed oblivious to the sudden presence of Lucifer and Medusa.
Lucifer stepped forward, his presence commanding and undeniable. The nymphs scattered at the sight of him, their eyes wide with fear and awe. Poseidon’s eyes snapped open, a scowl forming on his face as he saw who had dared to interrupt his leisure.
“L-Lucifer,” Poseidon stammered, rising from his throne, his usual bravado absent. “What brings you here?”
Lucifer’s smile was icy. “Just a little visit to discuss a matter of justice,” he said smoothly. “You see, your recent actions have not gone unnoticed, and it’s time you faced the consequences.”
Poseidon’s eyes flicked nervously to Medusa and back to Lucifer. “This is a misunderstanding,” he said quickly. “I meant no harm. Surely we can resolve this peacefully.”
Lucifer’s expression didn’t waver. “Oh, I don’t need to threaten you, Poseidon. I’m simply here to deliver justice on behalf of the one you wronged.”
Medusa stepped forward, her eyes blazing with newfound courage. “You violated me, Poseidon,” she said, her voice steady despite the venom in her tone. “You defiled a sacred space and left me to face Athena’s wrath. You will pay for what you’ve done.”
Poseidon’s gaze flicked to Medusa, a sneer curling his lips. “You think you can challenge me?” he scoffed. “You are nothing but a mortal.”
Lucifer’s smile widened. “Not anymore. Medusa is under my protection, and her power is not to be underestimated.”
Poseidon raised his trident, ready to strike, but Lucifer moved faster. With a flick of his wrist, he sent a wave of force crashing into Poseidon, knocking him back into his throne. The god of the sea struggled to rise, shock and anger mingling in his eyes.

“You’re no match for me, Poseidon,” Lucifer said, his voice cold. “Now, you will face Medusa’s judgment.”
Medusa’s eyes gleamed with a mix of fear and determination. She stepped closer to Poseidon, her gaze locking onto his. “Look at me, Poseidon,” she commanded. “Face the consequences of your actions.”
Poseidon tried to avert his gaze, but Lucifer held him in place with an invisible force. Medusa’s eyes glowed with a fierce, otherworldly light. Poseidon’s struggles ceased as his body began to stiffen, turning slowly to stone.
As the transformation completed, Medusa stepped back, her breathing heavy but triumphant. Poseidon, now a stone statue, stood frozen in a look of fear and defiance.
Lucifer placed a reassuring hand on Medusa’s shoulder. “Justice is served,” he said softly. “You did well.”
Medusa nodded, her eyes still glowing but filled with a sense of relief and empowerment. “Thank you, Lucifer. I couldn’t have done it without you.”
Lucifer smiled. “Remember, Medusa, you have the power to shape your own destiny. Use it wisely, and you will never be a victim again.”
With a final nod, Lucifer snapped his fingers, and they were back in the serene valley. The quest for justice had been swift, and Poseidon had learned the true meaning of retribution.
