I'm The Devil - Chapter 300
Chapter 300: The Allfather
Lucifer’s smirk didn’t falter as he stepped closer to Loki, his fingers grazing the golden chains holding the Trickster in place. His dark eyes, glinting with cold determination, flicked over the restraints. With a quiet hum of energy, a faint shimmer spread from Lucifer’s hand, and the chains crumbled like ash, falling to the ground with a dull clink.
Loki flexed his wrists, a crooked grin tugging at his lips as he stood. He rolled his shoulders, savoring the feeling of freedom, his emerald eyes gleaming with a mix of amusement and anticipation. “Well,” Loki drawled, brushing nonexistent dust from his sleeve. “That’s a fine start, Morningstar. I’ll admit, you have a certain… flair.”
Lucifer didn’t respond, his gaze shifting to Nezha, who had been watching silently from the shadows. With a slight nod from Lucifer, the three turned and began to make their way back toward the chamber’s entrance, Loki trailing behind like a shadow that refused to be ignored.
The moment they emerged into the open, Thor was waiting, his imposing figure framed by the faint glow of Asgard’s light. His eyes narrowed as he took in the sight of Loki, unbound and standing free. The fury on his face was immediate and unmistakable.
“What have you done?” Thor bellowed, his voice echoing like thunder. He took a step forward, Mjölnir crackling with energy in his hand. “You dare free him? The Trickster is a prisoner of Asgard! You overstep, Morningstar!”
Bariel moved quickly, stepping between Thor and Lucifer, his broad shoulders tense as he raised a hand in a calming gesture. “Thor, don’t—”
“No!” Thor snapped, his gaze blazing. “This is not your decision, Bariel. Loki is bound by my father’s law. This outsider has no right—”
Thor swung Mjölnir upward, the air humming with power as he prepared to strike. But before the hammer could fall, a voice cut through the tension, calm and commanding.
“Enough.”
The single word seemed to still the very air around them, heavy with authority. A moment later, the Allfather himself descended from the sky, his form landing with a controlled yet thunderous impact. The ground seemed to tremble as Odin stood before them, his two ravens perched on his broad shoulders, their dark feathers gleaming in the light.
Odin’s gaze swept over the group, sharp and unyielding. His two eyes, both intact and burning with ancient wisdom, landed on Thor, who froze mid-step. The God of Thunder’s fury dimmed slightly, though the tension in his posture remained.
“Father,” Thor said, his voice tinged with defiance. “Loki is—”
“I know,” Odin interrupted, his voice even but firm. He raised a hand to silence his son, his gaze shifting to Lucifer. For a long moment, he studied the Morningstar, his expression unreadable.
“Lucifer,” Odin said finally, his tone carrying a weight that even the Trickster couldn’t mock. “I see you’ve been busy.”
Lucifer met Odin’s gaze without hesitation, his smirk faint but present. “You could say that,” he replied smoothly. “I don’t suppose you’re here to congratulate me?”
Odin’s lips twitched, the faintest hint of a smile ghosting across his face before it vanished. “No,” he said simply, his attention turning to Thor. “I am here to apologize for my son’s… enthusiasm.”
Thor’s eyes widened, his grip on Mjölnir tightening. “Apologize? Father, he freed Loki!”
“And I am aware of that,” Odin said, his voice quiet but cutting. “But I also know Lucifer does nothing without purpose. If he freed Loki, there is a reason.”
Loki, standing just behind Lucifer, grinned like a cat with a fresh catch. “I feel so loved,” he drawled, earning a sharp look from Thor.
Odin ignored the Trickster, his focus remaining on Lucifer. “You and I will speak later,” he said, his tone leaving no room for argument. Then he turned, his ravens shifting on his shoulders as he addressed Thor. “Stand down, my son. This is not a battle you need to fight.”
Thor hesitated, his jaw clenched as he looked from Odin to Lucifer, his frustration evident. But finally, with a reluctant grunt, he lowered Mjölnir. “As you wish, Father.”
Lucifer inclined his head slightly, his smirk returning as he met Odin’s gaze once more. “Always a pleasure, Allfather,” he said, his tone dripping with polite mockery.
Odin didn’t respond, though his piercing gaze lingered on Lucifer for a moment longer before he turned, his long cloak sweeping behind him as he walked away. “Come,” he said simply, his voice carrying over his shoulder. “We have much to discuss.”
Lucifer watched him go, his dark eyes narrowing slightly before he turned back to Bariel and Nezha. “Well,” he murmured, his voice carrying a note of amusement. “This just got interesting.”
Loki’s grin widened as he fell into step beside Lucifer, his chains forgotten. “Interesting,” he repeated with a chuckle. “Now, there’s an understatement.”
Lucifer didn’t hesitate as he started to follow Odin, his long coat billowing faintly behind him. Loki and Nezha lingered at the entrance, watching with interest as the Morningstar approached Thor. The God of Thunder’s jaw tightened, his posture stiff with unspoken rage.
As Lucifer passed, he stopped just a step away from Thor, his dark eyes meeting the Asgardian’s with a calm, almost bored expression. Then, without a word, Lucifer let his aura slip free—a suffocating, oppressive force that weighed on the air like a mountain.
Thor staggered, his knees hitting the ground as his grip on Mjölnir faltered. He gasped for breath, the overwhelming pressure forcing his head to bow. His glare burned into Lucifer even as his body betrayed him.
Lucifer leaned down slightly, his smirk sharp and full of menace. “Consider this a lesson,” he said softly, his voice dripping with cold amusement. “You should choose your battles more carefully, God of Thunder.”
Straightening, Lucifer allowed the oppressive weight of his presence to fade, stepping past Thor without another glance. The sound of the Thunderer’s labored breathing was the only noise in the tense silence.

Odin sighed, his expression unreadable as he turned to Lucifer. “Was that truly necessary?” he asked, though there was no anger in his voice, only a weary sort of understanding.
Lucifer stopped, tilting his head slightly as he regarded Odin. His smirk didn’t waver. “Yes,” he said simply. “People keep whispering that I’ve gone soft. Perhaps it’s time I remind them who I am.”
Odin studied him for a long moment, his ravens shifting uneasily on his shoulders. Finally, the Allfather turned and began walking again. “Then let us proceed,” he said, his tone resigned.
Lucifer followed, his steps unhurried, leaving Thor kneeling in the dirt as Loki’s laughter echoed softly behind them.
