Chapter 38: Odin Borson
Aesir Domain

“Thank you everyone for coming to the nafnfesti of my third grandson. It is an honor to have you all here to celebrate this wondrous day with us. Once again, thank you”

The whole room was filled with the sound of clapping after Buri gave his little speech.

With that, the nafnfesti officially began.

Everyone present avoided the three goddesses and Lucifer with his brother, Bariel. They did not even dare to make eye contacts with them, they even went as far as to tell the ones arriving late to avoid them so as not to get on their bad side.

Bariel saw how even his long time drinking buddies were avoiding him because he was close to Lucifer, he sighed inwardly and shook his head “with this new development, I’m afraid I will have to come with you brother. I can’t stay here anymore, they are afraid to even approach me after what just happened earlier” said Bariel while looking at Lucifer.

“Suit yourself and that idiot had it coming when he started making moves towards my women and worse the moment he dared raise his hands against them. He should be thankful that I ended is torture quickly if it were other times, he would be the one begging me to end his pathetic life” said Lucifer while clenching his fist tightly as anytime he remembers the earlier event, he just feels resurrecting the fool and like ripping the life off of him again.

Bariel didn’t say anything anymore and just took a sip of his drink as he could clearly see that Lucifer was still pissed by that stunt Vördrörirr pulled.

Bast and Amaterasu were looking at him in a whole other light and they felt something they never thought would happen to them in their lifetime, they felt their heart beat anytime they look at Lucifer and whenever he returns their gaze, it becomes intense.

Of course all of these were not hidden in the watchful eyes of the goddess of Love, Aphrodite who could smell the new scent of love oozing from Bast and Amaterasu.

So she made it her personal quest to help them come to term with their new feelings for Lucifer before it is too late but that’s for later as today, they were here to just relax.

The ceremony continued with no other problem which made Bor and Buri sigh in relief. After a while, they called for the mother and the child to make their appearance to the people and to announce the name of the child.

A petite woman with a tall statue came with a child in her arms, she is Bestla, a frost giant, one of the descendants of Ymir.

The crowd cheered when the mother and child appeared in the hall as this is the first time they have seen the mother and child since when Bestla put to bed.

Bor took the child from her and faced the cheering crowd for them to see him clearly “this is my son, and I can never be anymore proud to be the father of such a cute little boy from the most beautiful woman in all of the Realms. From the moment I held my boy, I knew he was going to be a fine warrior and he will one day lead the people of Aesir to glory and after pondering for a while, for a child like him, he deserves someone worthy to name him and there is no one other than the one and only Lord Lucifer who was gracious enough to attend this ceremony” said Bor smiling while looking at his son.

When the crowd heard who was naming the child, the entire hall became silent as they never expected something like this to happen, they thought it would be one of their own or even the God King but now they were hearing that a complete stranger who be the one naming the child.

They were furious, angered and felt indignant but they could not do anything about it as they saw or heard what the man did to one of them and he did not show any resistance when the man took his life.

Hearing the name of his brother, Bariel clapped for him when no one else did followed by Aphrodite and then Bast and Amaterasu also followed suit.

Lucifer walked to the stage amidst the gaze and glare he was receiving from the crowd. He did not care what they think or thought as he didn’t even give a crap about their existence, to him they were just canon fodders that he could end anything he lifts his fingers.

When he got to the stage, he took the child from Bor and looked at the child then he looked at the other children of Bor whose names are Vili and Vé and he knew that there was supposed to be an Odin amongst these children and seeing as there is no one answering that yet, he knew this child his Odin, so he decided to name it as such “this child will be called Odin. Odin Borson, the son of Bor” he said leaving Bor and Buri surprised as that was exactly the name they had intended to name the child.

“Indeed he was destined to be called Odin” said Buri with a smile.

Before he handed the child back to Bor, Lucifer decided to gift the child something so as to make this day even memorable.

Odin was known to be a very wise king and has diverse knowledge about the Cosmos but that all came with a price, the price he was willingly ready to pay for wisdom, the price was one of his eyes so Lucifer wanted prevent that from happening not because he felt bad for him, no, it was that when he devoured Tezcatlipoca, he got a very useless divinity, that’s to to him but a priceless treasure to all, the divinity of Knowledge and Wisdom and something that might satiate the thirst for knowledge in the live of Odin.

A white glow shrouded Odin which made all the people of Aesir to become alert and attack in case Lucifer was up to something as they believed that even if they can’t face him one on one, it is a different story when they all attack him together.

But before they could do anything, Buri stopped them as he didn’t sense any malicious and evil intention from Lucifer rather it might even be his gift for the child.

Lucifer was done, everything went back to normal. He handed the boy back to Bor “he is a nice lad, he might bring about a new age for your people” said Lucifer as he walked back to his people.

Bor took Odin back to his mother and stood besides her and his children.

“Ahem, Ahem, can I get everyone’s attention, please?”

Everyone turned to look at Buri who was still on the stage and wondered what he has to say.

After getting everyone’s attention, Buri smiled while looking at the beautiful face and handsome faces of his of his people before looking at his son and said “I have a very important announcement to make” he paused and saw how everyone was just listening attentively to him before he continued “after giving it much thought, I think it is high time I step down as the God King of the Aesir Domain and let my son, Bor step in. I have been saying this for a long time now and I think this is the right time to take action, so from today onwards, I Buri, the Primal god of the Aesir Domain and Norse Realm, hereby renounce my title as the God King of the Aesir Domain and appoint my son, Bor Burison as the New God King”

Silence reign through the entire hall as they never expected this sudden news. They thought today was just the nafnfesti of the son of Bor but now it turned out to be also a transfer of ruler ship to Bor.

But amidst this surprise, they were happy as they all cheered for him after they came out of their shock.

With that, the ceremony went on normally and it spam for three days and three night and they were not even in the slightest bored from partying that long to show how the people of Aesir love to party.

Three Days Later

“So when am I going to see you two again?”

“Oh, don’t tell me you are already missing us when we haven’t even left yet”

Bast and Amaterasu were about to leave to their respective realms directly from Aesir using the Bifröst with Aphrodite seeing them off.

Aphrodite scoffed when Bast said that “you wish, I was just asking to know so that I can tell Lucifer when he ask or do you perhaps want him to waltz into your Realms to pick you by himself and we all know that there won’t be anyone that can stop him and if there is even someone to stop him, you both would willingly follow him” she said knowing fully well that they have already fallen for Lucifer.

Amaterasu had a red shade on her face when she heard that “I will contact him after I tell my father that I will not be ascending the throne anymore” She said as she turned to Bast waiting for her answer.

Bast sighed when she thought of her situation which is already complicated on its own “tell Lucifer to come get me”

With that, Heimdall activated the Bifröst sending Bast first before Amaterasu.
