- Chapter 100 - 100 Velmora Nyx Learns About His Bloodline
100: Velmora Nyx Learns About His Bloodline 100: Velmora Nyx Learns About His Bloodline The mansion’s wide double doors opened with a quiet creak.
Velmora Nyx stepped inside, her boots making no sound against the polished marble floor.
She was as composed as ever-sharp black uniform freshly pressed, her long dark coat brushing just above her heels as she walked.
Her movements were silent, efficient, and precise, as if every step had already been calculated before she took it.
Her eyes scanned the room once, then locked onto Lilith.
Lilith stood near one of the tall windows, arms folded, posture steady.
The sunlight coming through the glass spilled across the floor, casting long shadows, but it didn’t soften the energy in the room.
The others were already there-Elowen standing beside a carved pillar, Seraphina seated on the back of a sofa with her arms crossed, Isabella near the fireplace, and Liliana pacing slowly near the bookshelves.
No one spoke.
They’d all been waiting.
Lilith didn’t offer a greeting.
She just said, “Thanks for coming.” Velmora stopped a few steps away.
Her expression didn’t change.
“What happened?” Lilith didn’t hesitate.
“I opened the Vault.” Velmora’s brows moved slightly, the only sign of surprise.
“You said you wouldn’t do that unless it were absolutely necessary.” “It was,” Lilith said calmly.
The words didn’t carry drama, but there was weight behind them.
Enough to still the room completely.
Velmora took in a slow breath, then exhaled just as quietly.
“You found something?” Lilith gave a single nod.
“It started with Seraphina.” She motioned lightly toward the white-haired woman seated on the sofa.
“After she bonded with Ethan, the crest appeared.” Velmora glanced at Seraphina.
Her expression remained unreadable, but there was a pause.
“A full crest?” Lilith confirmed, “Permanent.
No fading.
No fractures.
Clear as day.” Velmora’s lips tightened.
“So the bloodline chose him.” “Yes.” Velmora looked off for a moment, then said more to herself than anyone, “That means it accepted him on its own terms.” Lilith nodded again.
“When the crest formed, we didn’t wait.
We told him everything-what we are, what the crest means, why it happened.” “And?” Velmora asked.

“He didn’t panic.
He listened.
Then he told us his side.” There was a pause.
The air felt heavier now.
“He said his bloodline is called the Mythical Incubus bloodline.” Velmora’s eyes narrowed slightly.
“That’s not in any archive.” “No,” Lilith said.
“Not even in Elowen’s private collection.
Not even whispered in the old scrolls.” Velmora’s voice lowered.
“But it’s real?” Lilith looked her in the eye.
“Real enough to wake the Vault.” Velmora stayed quiet.
Listening.
“I didn’t just take his word for it,” Lilith continued.
“I went down to check myself.
To verify it.” She turned slightly, her eyes distant now, remembering.
“I entered the library.
Deactivated the seals.
Walked through the spiral just like before.
Everything was the same.
Silent.
Cold.
Empty.” Her voice was smooth, but not without tension.
“I walked into the Vault.
Alone.
It accepted me like it always had.
No resistance.
No warnings.” She paused.
“But when Ethan entered… everything shifted.” Velmora’s posture stiffened.
“The air changed,” Lilith said.
“It thickened.
Not in a threatening way-more like the Vault was holding its breath.
Like it had been asleep and suddenly opened its eyes.” “And then?” Velmora asked, her tone steady.
“The Librarian appeared.” That made Velmora go still.
“She wasn’t there when I went in,” Lilith added.
“She only manifested after Ethan entered.” “And what did she do?” Lilith’s voice dropped slightly.
“She walked straight toward him.
Didn’t glance at me.
Didn’t check the others.
She didn’t hesitate or speak a long phrase.” She took a quiet breath.
“She dropped to one knee… and called him ‘Master.'” Velmora didn’t speak.
Lilith met her eyes.
“We all saw it.
Every one of us.
She said it like it was the only word that mattered.” A heavy pause followed.
Velmora finally spoke.
“The Librarian has never bowed to anyone.” “I know,” Lilith said.
“Not to past leaders.
Not to High Matrons either.
Not even to the former heads of the council when they ruled openly.” “And yet she bowed to Ethan.” “Yes.” Velmora folded her arms.
“What about the book?” Lilith nodded.
“The floating book reacted the same way.
The moment Ethan entered, it moved to him.” “You tried to approach it?” “Of course,” Lilith said.
“But the Vault wouldn’t allow it.
Not with force, not with warnings.
Just a feeling.
Like a hand resting on your chest.” “What was the title?” Lilith looked directly at her.
“Truth of something.” Velmora frowned.
“Something?” “The whole thing was unreadable, the characters kept shifting.” Velmora absorbed that in silence.
“I thought maybe it was sealed knowledge,” Lilith said.
“But even sealed books don’t give off that kind of pressure.” She let her arms fall to her sides.
“When Ethan took it, the Vault settled.
It was like the whole place exhaled.” Velmora’s voice was low.
“You think it was waiting for him.” “I don’t think,” Lilith said.
“I know.” Velmora was quiet for a long time.
Then Lilith added, “There’s more.” Velmora looked at her.
“The bloodline Ethan carries… it’s the one tied to the Restarter.” That stopped Velmora cold.
Lilith’s words were calm but absolute.
“The one who ended the last era.
Who erased everything before this world.” Velmora’s brows furrowed.
“You’re sure?” “Yes.” Velmora exhaled slowly.
“So that’s why there are no records, not just because it was lost.
Because it was deleted.” “Exactly,” Lilith said.
“Erased on purpose.” ****** Hey everyone, If you’re reading this, you’ve made it through 100 chapters with me.
Thank you for that – it really means a lot.
This story has gone through a lot of ups and downs already, and even though it’s my second novel, every book feels like its own journey.
Looking back, there are a few early chapters I know could be better, and I’ll be going back to fix them up based on the feedback you guys shared.
Thanks again for all the support, the comments, and for taking the time to read.
I hope you’ll stick around for what’s coming next – there’s still much more of the story left to tell.
