76: Wait.
Is That…
The Crest??
Meanwhile, back in the Nocturne Mansion, a few hours ago.
As the front door clicked softly behind Ethan, His footsteps slowly faded down the driveway.
And with that… the house returned to silence.
As the warm rays of sunlight streamed in through the tall windows, spilling soft gold across the polished floors and velvet curtains.
The house, still basking in the afterglow of dawn, felt calm-but not for long.
The bedroom door clicked open on the second floor.
Out stepped Lilith and Seraphina, both freshly showered, their damp hair cascading gently down their shoulders.
A faint shine clung to each strand, still catching the warmth of the steam.
Their bathrobes hugged their bodies with casual elegance, showing their curves without needing to show much at all.
Even dressed simply, they carried themselves like queens-calm, confident, and effortlessly radiant.
Lilith was the first to speak as they padded down the stairs barefoot.
“We need to tell them,” she said, her voice steady but quiet.
Seraphina nodded, fingers lightly brushing the fabric over her belly.
The faint glow of the Succubus Crest had faded for now, but they both knew it was still there-etched deep into her skin and soul.
As they reached the bottom of the staircase, they heard soft voices from the living room.
They turned the corner.
Sitting on the large central couch were Liliana and Isabella, already up and dressed in casual home clothes, though still armed with their usual air of confidence.
But what made Lilith pause was the third person on the sofa.
“Elowen,” she said, blinking with surprise.
The tall, elegant woman turned at the sound of her name.
Her long silver-blue hair was tied back loosely, and a cup of herbal tea rested in her hand.
Dressed in a form-fitting white tunic and light blue skirt, Elowen looked as graceful as ever.
A calm, maternal presence surrounded her as if she’d been waiting for them.
“I was going to call you,” Lilith added, walking closer.

“I heard you were back… but I figured you were still spending time with your daughters.” “I was,” Elowen said, her tone gentle.
“But I figured I’d come by this morning.
Something told me I’d be needed here.” “You and your feelings,” Liliana muttered.
“Creepy accurate.” “I prefer ‘mystically insightful.'” Lilith and Seraphina reached the floor, exchanging a look.
Lilith then smiled faintly but didn’t speak right away.
Her gaze shifted to her daughters, then back to Seraphina.
“Well,” Seraphina exhaled, tightening her robe slightly.
“Since everyone’s here…” She stepped forward, pulling her robe open just enough at the bottom to reveal her lower abdomen.
A soft glow shimmered into view.
The Succubus Crest.
Delicate, symmetrical-two feathered wings cradling a heart.
Elegant and faintly luminous in a way only a succubus would sense.
For a moment, the room held still.
Then Isabella sat upright.
“You’re kidding.” Liliana blinked.
“Wait.
Is that…
the crest?” Seraphina nodded.
Lilith added calmly, “It formed last night.” Another beat of silence.
Then- Isabella’s eyes narrowed.
“Last night, as in… right after you went upstairs with Ethan?” Seraphina didn’t say anything, but the shift in her posture was answer enough.
Liliana leaned forward.
“You didn’t.” Seraphina shrugged once, then softly: “…I did.” “Oh my god.” Isabella slapped her thigh.
“You actually did it.” Seraphina rolled her eyes.
“Don’t make it sound like I ran off and eloped with him.” “I mean, you basically unlocked a magical marriage brand,” Isabella said.
“Pretty close.” Liliana crossed her arms, expression somewhere between amused and annoyed.
“You couldn’t even wait a few more days?” “It wasn’t planned,” Seraphina said, rubbing the bridge of her nose.
“It just happened.” “I had a whole plan!” Isabella cried.
“Candles, music, a cozy blanket set, limited edition chocolates-” “I was going for a hot springs retreat vibe,” Liliana said.
“Minimalist.
Thoughtful.
Build-up.” “And you just jumped ahead,” Isabella added, pointing dramatically.
Seraphina gave them both a look.
“It wasn’t a race.” “Not until you won,” Liliana said flatly.
Lilith, still holding her tea, finally joined in.
“None of this is surprising.
We all knew the crest would form eventually.
Ethan has the right energy.” “Yeah, but I figured he’d date one of us first,” Isabella grumbled.
“Not just skip straight to the crest-binding climax.” “I was the one who took the initiative,” Seraphina said.
“And he just accepted me with open arms…
one thing led to another.
And when it happened, the crest just…
came naturally.” Elowen, who’d been uncharacteristically quiet, finally sipped her tea and said, “Honestly, I thought the twins might beat you to it.” Seraphina’s head turned.
“Excuse me?” “They’ve been plotting,” Elowen said with a faint smile.
“Nothing devious.
But they asked me for tips.” “Tips?” Liliana echoed.
“You’re giving out coaching sessions now?” “Only for those who ask nicely.” Lilith raised an eyebrow.
“I don’t like the sound of this.” “Don’t worry,” Elowen replied.
“They’re still innocent-for now.” Seraphina groaned, sitting on the armrest of a nearby chair.
“This is officially spiraling.” Liliana smirked.
“We’re just processing.
It’s not every day your big sister beats you in something so emotional as she likes problems with numbers more.” “And makes it look effortless,” Isabella added with a sigh.
“Rude.” “Elowen?” Seraphina turned.
“You’re not going to grill me too?” “Oh no,” Elowen said cheerfully.
“I’m just waiting for my moment.” Lilith cleared her throat and set down her cup.
“Enough teasing.
We need to focus.” The mood shifted just slightly.
Seraphina straightened up.
“I don’t think Ethan knows about the crest.
He saw it this morning but didn’t say anything.” “Then he must have questions as this is something that was not there yesterday,” Lilith said.
“That’s actually a good sign.” “Still,” Liliana added, “he can’t stay in the dark forever.
We need to start explaining things.” Seraphina nodded.
“I’ll talk to him tonight.
Not the whole truth-but everything about us and this crest, which should be enough for now; the rest can be told after he is strong enough.” “We’ll back you,” Isabella said.
“Even if we’re still mad.” “Especially if we’re still mad,” Liliana corrected with a wink.
“I’m not mad,” Elowen added.
“I’m entertained.” “You would be,” Seraphina muttered.
Lilith glanced around at them all.
“One step at a time.
We tell him what we are.
Then, we figure out what bloodline he has.” The room was still quiet after Lilith’s final words.
Everyone remained seated for a moment longer, letting the weight of everything settle.
The crest, the bond, the unexpected date, and now… what came next?
But then Lilith casually snapped her fingers under the table, barely noticeable.
In an instant, both her and Seraphina’s bathrobes shimmered and disappeared, replaced by their usual home clothes.
