- Chapter 77 - 77 The Twins Are Ahead
77: The Twins Are Ahead 77: The Twins Are Ahead Nothing fancy, just comfortable, proper outfits they’d normally wear around the house.
Seraphina glanced down, then shot her mother a look.
“You could’ve warned me.” Lilith sipped her tea like nothing had happened.
“You looked too relaxed.” Seraphina sighed but didn’t argue.
“Next time, just say something first.” Seeing that Lilith had nothing else to say, Elowen looked around to see if everyone was doing before casually taking another sip of her tea, and with the same soft voice she’d always used to drop chaos into a conversation, she added, “By the way… Seraphina’s not the only one who made progress last night.” Four heads turned toward her in sync.
Although all of them knew that Elowen was trying to create chaos, they still needed to take this bait, as it involved Ethan, which they would not compromise on.
Liliana squinted.
“What kind of progress?” Elowen didn’t even blink.
“The twins.
They took Ethan out on a date.” Isabella’s eyes widened.
“A date?
With Ethan?” Seraphina’s brow furrowed.
“What do you mean by a date?” “I mean,” Elowen said, setting her cup down with infuriating grace, “they invited him out, treated him to food, walked through the plaza, wore matching outfits, and he dropped the twins home before coming back.” “Matching outfits?” Isabella echoed.
“They even sent me pictures.” Elowen pulled out her holo-device and started scrolling.
“They were very tasteful.
Innocent, but…
definitely intentional.” Liliana leaned forward.
“Please tell me you’re joking.” “They asked for help,” Elowen said with a shrug.
“I didn’t shove them out the door.
I just gave a little advice.
Hair tips, color palettes, conversation starters…” “Conversation starters?” Seraphina repeated.
“You coached them.” “No, I wouldn’t go that far, I just fine-tuned what was already happening and what they need to say.” “And you still say that you had nothing to do with it?” Liliana asked, deadpan.
“So did you follow them or something, didn’t you say you would do that before,” Lilith asked with a sly smile.
“Look, I wasn’t really trailing them in a trench coat with binoculars.
But I was awake when they came home.” Lilith exhaled slowly, arms crossed.
“So how did it go?” Elowen’s smile turned smug.
“He kissed them goodnight.” There was silence.
Then Isabella choked.
“No way.” Liliana covered her face with one hand.
“They were still in the ‘we are still young and we still have time’ phase!” “They were,” Elowen said.

“Until I reminded them that if they kept waiting around, they might fall behind.” “You’re running a romantic acceleration program,” Seraphina muttered.
“You say that like you weren’t planning to do something similar, and you technically have no right to talk with you sneaking in while the other two waited like adults.” Hearing this, both Liliana and Isabella lifted their chins and showed a proud look, but only they knew that if they were given a chance, they would have also jumped the line, but now that they couldn’t, which means that Seraphina has to take the blame.
“I was going to wait too, but….” Seraphina retorted.
“It just happened.” “Well,” Isabella cut in, throwing her hands up, “at least we cannot copy what Seraphina did, but we also have to hurry up or those two will take the lead.” Lilith sat back in her chair, expression thoughtful.
“The pace isn’t normal.
But the response feels…
right.” “We’re not pushing him,” Seraphina said.
“He’s just…
open.” “To all of us,” Elowen added.
“The bond might’ve formed with Seraphina first, but that boy is instinctively tuning into every one of us.
That’s not normal for a human.” Liliana folded her arms.
“Then maybe he’s not just human.” “We’ve suspected it for a while,” Lilith agreed.
“But the way things are unfolding…
we’re seeing signs now.” “Do you think the crest triggered something?” Isabella asked.
“No,” Elowen said softly.
“I think it confirmed what was already there.” Seraphina leaned forward, voice quieter now.
“When it happened, it didn’t feel like something new was forming.
It felt like…
something that had just been waiting.” “Waiting for you?” Isabella asked.
Seraphina shook her head.
“Waiting for someone.
I just happened to be the match.” Lilith and Elowen shared a look again-quiet, knowing.
“That kind of synchronicity doesn’t happen unless bloodlines are aligned,” Elowen said.
“You think Ethan has…
something dormant?” Liliana asked.
“No,” Lilith replied, her tone sharpening slightly.
“Not dormant.
Hidden.
Something old.
Maybe even suppressed.” “Which means,” Elowen added, “we don’t know what he’s capable of yet.” Isabella whistled under her breath.
“And we still don’t know where he came from.” “He told us what he knows,” Seraphina said.
“But if there’s a sealed power or bloodline inside him, that story may be missing a few chapters.” “Then we start small,” Lilith said.
“Tell him what we are.
Ease him into it.
Let him understand the crest.” “And if more of him starts to awaken?” Liliana asked.
“Then we guide him,” Seraphina said without hesitation.
“And keep it in this house until we’re sure,” Lilith added firmly.
Silence returned, but this time it was heavier, less awkward, more aware.
Isabella stretched with a sigh.
“So just to recap-Seraphina bonded with him, the twins are dating him, Elowen’s running secret coaching sessions, and Ethan might have a powerful bloodline no one knows about?” “Sounds about right,” Lilith said calmly.
Isabella nodded.
“Cool.
Just making sure I’m following the family soap opera correctly.” Elowen picked up her tea again, utterly unfazed.
“I’d call it an exciting start.” “I’d call it a disaster,” Seraphina muttered.
Liliana smirked.
“A hot one, though.” “I regret sharing the details about the crest already,” Seraphina groaned.
“Group hug?” Isabella said with a grin.
“No,” Seraphina snapped.
Lilith rose to her feet, adjusting the tie on her robe.
“Enough.
Everyone gets dressed and waits for Ethan and the twins; I have already sent them a message so that all of them can come here.” “Oh?
You want to tell the twins about all of you, too?” Elowen said, smiling brightly.
“It would be fairer and easier to do things in the future,” Seraphina pointed out.
