Chapter 206: Return Of The Demon God [PART 1]
The system display showed only one person’s information, which meant these weren’t actually two separate individuals. The twin bodies were likely a result of this so-called Twin-Yin Dao Body physique. No wonder he couldn’t tell them apart – they were literally the same person.

The spiritual root classification caught his attention. Sacred-Grade Yin was truly exceptional, surpassing even his master’s talent level. The yin aspect puzzled him initially since he’d assumed only elemental attributes could form spiritual roots. But considering that yin and yang were the fundamental forces that created all elements, perhaps it wasn’t so strange after all.

The bloodline information made him more cautious. Xiang Yu already knew about the Demon God from Li Yao’s recounting of the events in the pagoda. To reach True Blood level, this person must have consumed massive quantities of bloodline essence. At the True Blood stage, one could finally be officially recognized as part of that species rather than just carrying traces of it.

Despite the impressive stats, Xiang Yu remained calm. He’d already run a quick battle simulation on the twins, while he couldn’t instantly obliterate this opponent like he could with Meiling, it would still only take him a few breaths at most to achieve victory.

“You two will be the presidents for the Talisman and Formation schools,” he announced.

Both twins bowed simultaneously with perfect synchronization.

Xiang Yu then turned to address Liu Qing. “As for you, you’ll be the chairman. Your role is to oversee all the schools and check in with the presidents. I’ll mostly be communicating through you.”

Liu Qing bowed respectfully. “I’ll do as the Grand Elder says.”

Xiang Yu smiled with satisfaction. “Alright, all of you are dismissed.”

The disciples began dispersing, chattering among themselves. Just as the twins started to leave with the group, Xiang Yu stretched out his arms, casually wrapping them around both figures.

“Except you two. I would like to have a word with you,” he said pleasantly.

The twins found themselves completely immobilized in his grip, despite their fifteenth-layer body refining. Their eyes widened in shock as they struggled futilely against his hold.

“No way, I can’t feel any cultivation from him. How is he so strong? I can’t move at all,” the talisman twin communicated telepathically to his other half.

“Idiot, who doesn’t have cultivation in a cultivation sect? I knew you’d get us caught at some point,” the formations twin responded with irritation.

“How is this my fault?”

“It just is.”

“Can you guys follow me for a sec?” Xiang Yu asked aloud, his tone remaining conversational. “Of course, it’s fine if you don’t want to,” he added, offering a smile.

“How is it fine when you’re looking at us like that? What a terrible human being. How do you sleep at night?” they thought in unison, but could only nod obediently.

Xiang Yu walked ahead while the two followed in tense silence. After covering some distance away from the other disciples, he stopped and glanced around the area. The twins also halted, their expressions growing increasingly nervous as they wondered what he planned to do. Had they really been figured out so easily?

“You can come out,” Xiang Yu spoke suddenly.

…

“I knew it, he already knows! Quick, let’s make a run for it before the scary woman comes,” the talisman twin spoke urgently through their telepathic link.

“Idiot, he’s clearly bluffing. Do you want to expose us?” the formations twin retorted with exasperation.

In the next second, they felt someone land silently behind them. A familiar voice reached their ears that made their blood run cold.

“Senior brother, you noticed?”

As soon as they heard that voice, both bodies froze completely, their faces draining of all color.

“It’s that scary woman. We’re doomed,” the talisman twin spoke.

“If I don’t make it, tell our parents I loved them,” he continued.

“We don’t have parents, stupid. How do you think we ended up like this?” the formations twin shot back.

“Oh, I almost forgot,” the talisman twin replied sheepishly.

“Besides, how am I supposed to deliver the message? If either of us dies, we both die,” the formations twin added.

“Oh yeah, that too. Then… goodbye, I guess…” the talisman twin spoke with resignation.

“Of course,” Xiang Yu replied with a smile. In his mind, he wondered how he could possibly not notice when her divine sense had been pinging his location at least once every second. He reflected on whether she really had so much free time, she’d been monitoring him since lunch.

If he hadn’t unlocked his divine sense, he wouldn’t be able to detect her surveillance at all. Could it be that she’d been watching him all this time? While he’d been working his ass off for the sect, she’d just been… observing him.

“Senior brother, these two…” Li Yao began.

“They’re demons I caught pretending to be sect disciples,” Xiang Yu spoke casually.

The two boys panicked immediately, their composure crumbling entirely.

“I knew it! He already knew about us. We should’ve run when we had the chance,” the talisman twin wailed internally.

“And how far do you think we’d have gotten?” the formations twin asked sarcastically. In his mind, he wondered what to do now. With this terrifying woman here, there was absolutely nothing they could do. They had both witnessed her battle against the cult leader, and just remembering her expression during that fight still gave them nightmares.

“Demons?” Li Yao asked, her gaze shifting to the two trembling figures, causing them to break into a cold sweat under her scrutiny.

“Yeah, they might be related to the Demon God,” Xiang Yu added.

“Is it true?” Li Yao asked the Empress internally.

[Your senior brother really knows his stuff. They indeed possess the Demon God bloodline. Don’t let them trick you though, they’re actually one person. They just split into two due to their physique,] the Empress explained.

“Physique?” Li Yao inquired with interest.

[That’s right. It’s called the Twin-Yin Dao Body. Although it’s not particularly strong in terms of combat power, it has its own unique applications,] the Empress elaborated.

Li Yao glanced at the twins again, and suddenly everything clicked into place in her mind like puzzle pieces falling together. “Beautiful girls, pure yin body, senior brother…” Her eyes narrowed dangerously. “They’re after senior brother!”

[That’s not what I said—] the Empress tried to interject.

But Li Yao completely ignored her correction, lost in her own spiraling thoughts. “These two are really dangerous. Luckily I’m smart and managed to figure out their scheme.” Her expression shifted to something cold and calculating as a darker thought formed: she couldn’t let these two continue to exist.
