Xiang Yu had gained some strange insights on each of his professions, techniques, and even cultivation methods, but he hadn’t thought much of it initially. He’d assumed it was all just part of the system’s doubling effect. But now, when he saw this new profession displayed on his screen, he finally understood what had been happening all along.

The Teacher profession was exactly what it said on the surface – a specialized skill for instruction and education. He had probably gained it when he was teaching those medicine recruits about cultivation injuries. He hadn’t expected there to be such a specific profession dedicated to just teaching.

The benefits for this profession were quite straightforward. They provided him with a deeper, more intuitive understanding of whatever knowledge he possessed, allowing him to more easily transfer that information to others through effective tutoring and instruction. It also granted him the ability to quickly gain comprehension of concepts he didn’t fully grasp yet, essentially providing a boost to his Enlightenment albeit just a modest one.

Going off initial impressions alone, Xiang Yu didn’t feel the profession was particularly groundbreaking – he already considered himself to be quite the capable teacher based on his previous life’s experiences and natural aptitude.

Still, he reminded himself that there was no such thing as a useless profession, probably…He decided to wait patiently for it to reach eighth grade, hoping he might gain access to some ancient teaching methodologies or profound educational techniques.

With that thought, he waved his hand dismissively and closed the system screen interface.

He then allowed his consciousness to sink into his spiritual sea.

When he entered the spiritual sea, he was a little surprised. The soul infant didn’t instantly come rushing to him with its usual childlike enthusiasm. Instead, it had already begun cultivating independently, sitting in a perfect meditative posture.

Looking at it more carefully, Xiang Yu could tell it had grown noticeably larger. It now resembled someone around eight years old rather than the toddler-like appearance it had maintained for so long. It seemed the growth process had finally resumed.

He also felt that his synchronization with the infant was approaching completion. This was probably why it no longer acted with its usual childlike innocence – it was beginning to grasp the situation they were in.

Xiang Yu smiled warmly, though with a touch of nostalgia. He thought to himself that he would genuinely miss the innocent, carefree infant version, but nothing could be done. Even the cutest of children must grow up eventually.

“You can stop for now,” Xiang Yu spoke gently.

The infant slowly opened its eyes. It then teleported smoothly to his side.

“When doing simulations, I’ll also be practicing the Soul Spike technique, so we’ll be working together,” Xiang Yu explained. “You can then resume cultivation after our simulation time is over.”

The infant nodded with understanding, its expression serious and focused.

He then began his combat simulations. At first, he decided to test himself against the demon twins, wanting to test out his earlier theory.

He stood before the twins in the simulation environment. He clenched his fist, focusing all his power into it, he then enhanced it further with his refined spiritual energy. The air around his hand began to vibrate and distort from the sheer force he was channeling.

He then threw a devastating punch toward the twin charging at him. He felt the very air around him separating and creating vacuum pockets as his fist moved through space. When it connected with the demon twin, the impact was absolutely catastrophic – it obliterated the target completely, reducing the figure to nothing but scattered spiritual particles.

Just as he’d observed during his earlier test, the second twin instantly collapsed and died the moment the first one was destroyed. He wondered if this was related to some kind of main body and clone relationship, but after running several more simulation scenarios, he confirmed that either twin dying resulted in both perishing simultaneously.

This phenomenon struck him as rather strange. He had initially thought that having two separate bodies would mean an opponent would need to eliminate both simultaneously to achieve victory. Instead, this particular physique seemed like a debuff.

Perhaps it had other compensating features that made up for this weakness, or maybe the physique was simply too low-level to demonstrate its true potential. He decided not to dwell on it too extensively.

Since he had satisfied his curiosity, he decided to move on to the real training.

He selected Li Yao as his sparring partner as always. The system had already updated her strength parameters to match her recent advancement to the fifth layer of Golden Core cultivation, though Xiang Yu didn’t think it would matter that much. Qi cultivation realms didn’t provide massive benefits to overall combat strength unless it involved a major realm breakthrough.

In the simulation with Li Yao, surprisingly, her strength had indeed increased noticeably after her recent breakthrough to the fifth layer of Golden Core. It seemed that with her exceptional foundation and monstrous talent, even minor qi realm advancements provided significant boosts to her overall combat capabilities.

Still, his own development hadn’t been small either, and he wasn’t losing out to her anymore in direct confrontation. Not even when she deployed her various techniques. Although he admittedly lacked in terms of mastery, he more than made up for it with his overwhelming physical strength and refined qi quality. Though he was still quite far from actually achieving victory in their sparring matches, he could finally match her blow for blow.

For now, being able to fight on equal terms was perfectly acceptable. This level of challenge provided him with exactly the right amount of pressure for practicing his techniques – difficult enough to push his limits without completely overwhelming him. This was the sweet spot he’d been searching for in his training.

Still, he found himself quite impressed with his junior sister’s strength. Even under this much intense pressure during their simulation battles, she still hadn’t resorted to using her spirit form transformation. He wondered if he could force her to reveal that power when his body refining cultivation broke through once again to the sixteenth layer.

And what about her other white-haired form that she’d displayed during the battle with the cult leader? How many more levels would he need to advance before he could push her to that extreme? And by the time he reached such heights, wouldn’t she be exponentially stronger herself? The thought made him chuckle internally as he wondered who really possessed cheats between the two of them.

Xiang Yu continued running various combat simulations for approximately an hour, testing different tactical approaches and technique combinations. When he felt satisfied with his progress for the day, he instructed the soul infant to resume its mind cultivation practice and settled down to meditate while conducting research on refining his existing techniques.

After a few minutes, he decided to shift his attention toward integrating his various professional knowledge as well. He returned his consciousness to his physical body and emerged from the spirit spring.

He then retrieved a substantial stack of pristine papers from his spatial ring – it was time to create comprehensive textbooks for the Secondary Professions Pavilion’s various schools.

He methodically compiled all his accumulated knowledge across every profession he’d mastered, creating three detailed textbooks for each field. These covered techniques and theory from ninth grade to seventh grade, which encompassed what was generally considered the low-level range.

For professions where he hadn’t advanced much, like spirit farming, he only wrote materials up to the eighth grade level where his current mastery peaked. He also took the initiative to create an additional book covering normal farming techniques, just in case they couldn’t grasp spirit farming. Besides, getting solid grounding in the normal farming might actually help them eventually acquire the spirit farmer profession later.

As for the teaching profession, he deliberately didn’t write any instructional materials yet. He would tackle that once the profession had advanced considerably and he had developed experienced students who could potentially take on teaching roles themselves.

After completing the professional textbooks, it was time for the laborious process of mass-producing copies for distribution. But he also decided to add one extra book to his writing project. This wasn’t intended for the Secondary Professions Pavilion, but rather a general guide he planned to place in the Scripture Pavilion for all disciples to access.

He thought to himself that since he held the position of Grand Elder, it was only appropriate that he provide guidance to help disciples navigate the treacherous cultivation world safely. With that in mind, he began writing his most important work: “Cultivation 101: A Survival Guide for the Aspiring Immortal.”

Xiang Yu isn’t exactly right when he says qi cultivation minor realms give little strength improvement. In fact they do give quite a huge one. But this applies to people within that realm’s combat power. For someone like Li Yao with late stage nascent soul combat power in her base form, the improvement is just too small that it doesn’t make a difference. That’s basically what he meant. Ig hes a little out of touch.
