Chapter 173: Amaris and Grace
Indifferently, the pretty kneeling woman said, “Yes, My Lady Amaris. The eldest of your daughters, Grace Aluria, has just returned.”
“Ho?” Amaris Aluria slightly arched one of her delicate eyebrows before sensually rising from the large heart-shaped couch.
She motioned for the manservants to return to their posts, then walked up to the kneeling female servant. Afterward, she amorously tilted up the female’s chin with her right index finger. With her irresistible eyes peering into the servant’s soul, she said, “Lead the way.”
“Y…Yes, My Lady,” the female servant respectfully responded. A slight blush painted her pretty features, and her legs were a little shaky, but that didn’t prevent her from rising and walking ahead.
Opening the giant opulent doors to the equally ostentatious room, she patiently waited for the naturally seductive woman to pass, then followed behind. After once again getting ahead of the woman whose every minute movement oozed grace and lust, she led the way through dozens of enormous hallways of an even more unimaginably large palace.
—Five minutes later—
After such a period of time of rapid travel exceeding even the max speed of the fastest man on Earth, Amaris and the female servant made it to a certain room. Hanging on the door of this room was a magical name tag that read ‘Royal Library.’
“…She’s in here again?” Amaris inquired with a melodic way of speaking, her tone unconsciously flirtatious.
“Yes, My Lady,” replied the female servant, her expression unmoving even in the face of the goddess-like woman capable of effortlessly wooing both genders. “The Eldest Miss came to the study as soon as she arrived.”
After a brief pause.
“Very well. You may leave now,” ordered Amaris. “I wish to speak to my daughter, alone.”
The female servant nodded before disappearing from sight.
“….”
Amaris Aluria unblinkingly stared at the modestly decorated library door for a good few seconds before finally opening it up. The very same moment she viewed the fantastical scenery inside, her eyes automatically ignored the untold number of bookshelves stacking up in all directions across several miles and for thousands of feet. Those captivating eyes of hers instead fell on the angelic woman sitting at the very center of the palace library’s first floor.
Surrounding her were thousands upon thousands of books, and even at this very moment, she had her nose in a book. She was so immersed in what she was reading that she hadn’t even noticed when her alluring mother entered the massive room.
This was where Grace spent most of her free time. It was her peace space when she wasn’t hanging out with the only man who made her feel a way she had never felt before.
Cassius was her new peace, but she was unable to forget her old flame.
“You know, you could at least say hello to your only mother when you stop by.”
A beautiful voice suddenly sounded out from behind, causing Grace to hastily lay her book down and look in the direction of the voice’s source.
“…Mother? What are you doing here?”
“Now, is that any reaction you should have to seeing your lonely mother after not greeting her for the last ten times you visited?”
“Lonely…?” Grace recalled all the various servants her mother surrounded herself with. “I don’t think so… And the reason I hadn’t greeted you was because I assumed you were busy. The Yggdrasil Tournament is coming up soon, and I know how important that event is to you and our family…”
Amaris arched an eyebrow. “Where did you learn how to speak like that? Getting so cheeky in your later years, are ya?”
“No, Mother, it’s not that…”
Grace became silent, her lips seemingly trying to get something out but failing.
Her mother could tell that she was troubled. And as she had a bit of free time right now, she decided to sit down next to her daughter and ask what was on her mind.
The answer she received felt unsatisfactory, but as the question itself was just a formality, she asked something she already knew the answer to. “Boy trouble? I’ve been there at one point… A long time ago, long before you were ever conceived…”
“N-No, that isn’t… that isn’t it,” Grace mumbled as her cheeks turned multiple shades of scarlet. However, under the scrutinizing gaze of her mother, she hid her adorable face behind a book and murmured, “Well… It kind of is…”
“See? Wasn’t that easy?” Amaris revealed a mesmerizing smile before asking her daughter to disclose all the details.

Although reluctant, Grace had little leeway to refuse the request of her graceful mother.
—A few minutes later—
Amaris’s expression appeared thoughtful as she contemplated this matter deeply.
She had been aware of Grace sneaking out of the mansion their family had on Earth as the ‘fill-in’ parents she assigned to her daughters would report to her daily. She would be lying if she declared that she wasn’t displeased with her eldest daughter’s sudden rebellious nature, but it wasn’t that big of a deal. After all, the Trial Area of Humanity posed little to no danger to the Guardians she set up there, and thus her daughters would always be safe.
But with the 0th Floor’s Nexus Event occurring soon, Amaris would prefer if her daughters stayed close to the Guardians at all times. Once the Nexus Event begins, even she doesn’t hold full confidence in the capabilities of the Guardians limited in power. If worse comes to worse, then she would have to send in the cavalry or personally descend, but such actions would surely put their family in a tough spot.
Among the other royal families of the Land of Pleasures, they were already seen as a prime target to exploit. Which meant that if Amaris, the head of the Succubus Royal Family, acted recklessly, the scavengers would come out to prey.
In conclusion, the Queen of Succubi and her three daughters were in a very tight spot right now.
Very tight, indeed…
