Cassius’s expression turned thoughtful as he pondered the peculiarities of this situation. ‘If the Icedom Senators are not the only so-called prisoners of the Gates, and the Gates themselves connect to a different Dimension, presumably the Monster Dimension, then why are they appearing on Earth? Wouldn’t prisons normally be supervised…? That is unless…’

His eyes widened in shock as he might’ve just figured out something that could very well change everything for the people of Earth—for those of the Trial Floor area of the Tower of Humanity!

‘…Death row… These prisoners are being put on death row…’

Everything was beginning to make sense! The Prisons did not have guards because there was no need to guard someone who would die without a shred of a doubt! But this also meant that…

“We’re also included in that quantity of certain death…”

“What was that, Sir Cassius?”

Cassius’s grave realization needed Viola’s heavenly voice to snap him out of his reverie. For the briefest of moments, he looked at her with the smallest hint of anxiety, but it vanished as quickly as it came. Then, acting as if absolutely everything was okay, he said, “It’s nothing. Nothing at all…” He stepped up onto the hanger door and began to make his way toward the rippling purple Gate.

“???”

Viola was a bit puzzled but didn’t put much thought into the matter. Her footsteps became progressively louder until she eventually caught up to the silent man. She crossed her fingers behind her back and repeatedly tried to start up new conversations with possibly the most interesting man she had ever met before.

*Whoooosh~!!*

The reflection hanger door closed up and resealed itself in the same moment that nearby Scientists jotted down the names of all those who entered the Purple-rank Gate. The two A++ Rank Hunters were tactically ordered by their Guild Leader to stay behind, so their names weren’t marked. But as for everyone else, they all had their names, ranks, and affiliations penciled by the Scientists upon request.

From the information they received from Viola and Cassius, the former’s name was written as:

And then there was one more segment that the Scientists and Government Workers always jotted down in secret. For Cassius, however, it grimly read:

By this point, all Prisons with Prisoners put on Death Row would begin appearing in the Floor experiencing a Nexus Event. If the inhabitants of the Floor are unable to overcome the Nexus Event, then they will die along with them. But… if the Floor inhabitants are able to overcome the Nexus Event, then the Prisoners would finally be given freedom.]
