Chapter 191: The Oblivion Acolyte’s Anticlimactic Demise
{[Oblivion Acolyte (S+++ Rank)]} – [Threat Rating: High Red]
[Oblivion Titan Lord (S+ Rank)] – [Threat Rating: High Yellow] x 5
Cassius passed right by every single one of these monstrous entities. Without looking back until the very moment he made his move, his body blurred beyond belief. Then, with a razor-sharp heel turn, he swiveled around and produced shockwaves in his wake as he shot toward the Oblivion Titan Lord furthest from the Oblivion Acolyte. Just the shockwaves produced from his sudden movements were enough to vaporize surrounding mountains, yet they merely acted as a prelude to what would happen next—
“!!!”
In that exact moment, something unexpected occurred. A loud whirring sound bled his ears, then an eruption of black light flashed from above the Oblivion Acolyte’s black halo!
‘I can’t dodge! Shi—’
WHAZZOOOOOM—!!!
The black light transformed into a wide-area attack that melted countless mountain ranges in the blink of an eye. The entire map’s topography was altered, and even from an untold distance away, Viola, Vera, and the other S-Rank Hunters were able to make out the catastrophic damage done to the seemingly endless plot of land around them. Black, crackling smoke rose from wherever the halo’s black light hit, creating a spectacle that made the S-Rank Hunters’ hearts sink into their chests.
They had never seen anything at this level of destruction… It was insane…
“Is he okay!?” Viola blurted out while scanning as far out as she could with her Magic Sense. Even though it was unable to reach the Oblivion Titans, it still should’ve been possible to perceive the existence of a certain lifeform.
However…
“Where is he??? Why can’t I feel his presence anywhere!?” Viola’s expression emulated her distress. She kept on searching, but no matter where she looked, Cassius was nowhere to be found.
Only billowing clouds of crackling lightning and the six terrifyingly powerful entities remained…
At least, that was until—
BZIP!
Like a dot of ink appearing on a scrapped piece of paper, Cassius’s vaporized body reformed itself from nothing. Phoenix feathers fluttered around his rapidly restoring figure as he turned his mangled face up toward the towering existence.
That existence stared down at him with its closed eyes, seemingly calculating how the tiny human had survived.
A slit situated just between the two closed eyes of the Oblivion Acolyte suddenly shot open, and a dazzling vortex of black-and-white chaotic elements appeared. Those elements took on the shape of a spiraling abyss. From within that abyss emerged a pupil that embodied the concept of destruction—or rather, of… Oblivion.

[You have died 31 times today! You can only die twice more before you enter the territory of PERMANENT DEATH.]
[The System will not assist you if it really comes down to it, as the System’s authority is severely limited in this avenue. And considering that you still need to die hundreds more times before you can upgrade the Supreme Nirvana Rebirth Skill to its next evolutionary phase, the System suggests that you… try not to die.]
“That was indeed the plan…” Cassius exasperatingly muttered before refocusing on the colossal entity currently in the process of charging an attack that he had no idea if he could handle or not.
Without thinking any more about useless stuff, he vanished from his spot, summoned Lilith, and then slashed out at the floating Oblivion Acolyte. The Boss Monster indifferently blasted another wave of black light, with potency just as devastating as before. However, when the figure it shot at turned out to be nothing more than an afterimage, its cryptic third eye darted all over the place.
When the Oblivion Acolyte’s third eye finally settled on a moving object, the black halo above its head shot out another black wave beam attack. Another few hundred miles of land were eviscerated, yet the human had still not died. He evaded both attacks, with his speed seemingly becoming faster and faster.
The Newbie 8 Equipment Set—which weighed as much as several cities—had just come off.
Now, Cassius’s speed was sitting at a level so high that he had no clue just how fast he could go if he held nothing back. With each passing microsecond, his speed gradually increased as more of its untapped potential was utilized.
*Whoooop—!!!*
Cassius blurred around the Oblivion Acolyte so quickly that the indifferent behemoth wasn’t even able to understand that all five of its Oblivion Titan Lords had already died. In fact, it was still in the process of comprehending this while he was lapping the Gate’s interior space with a trail of blackish-white blood following behind him.

WAAA!
As his and his Growth Weapon’s power exponentially improved, Cassius flashed forward multiple times faster than he was just moving. From a few dozen times the speed of light to just over one hundred times the speed of light—his speed was only increasing with each passing moment.
‘Let’s see what comes out on top in the end: your destruction or my speed!’ Cassius maniacally grinned as he phased through speed barrier after speed barrier.
He had become so fast that even the concept of speed was beginning to lag behind the rate at which he accelerated! And yet he was only becoming ever faster!!
SHING!
One sword slash, a hundred thousand flashed.
The Oblivion Acolyte registered the uncountable number of attacks that had just made contact with its body. But by that point, Cassius had already vanished to a place thousands of miles away.
He flashed back while the Oblivion Acolyte was still comprehending what had just happened. He slashed out again, and another hundred thousand slashes collided with the Boss Monster’s unbelievably tough outer armor.
CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!
Lilith bounced back an astronomical number of times in an instant, almost as if she had repeatedly hacked at something too tough to penetrate.
‘The armor… It’s so hard…’
There were no apparent weak points he could take advantage of, as every part of the monster’s body was covered in this same seemingly indestructible armor. Even the head and lower extremities were no exception.
‘That leaves only its eyes—’
