Then, with several black light eruptions many times stronger than before, everything in every direction around the monster was lit up by a machine gun-like spray of destruction.

When the rolling waves of endlessly high black lightning clouds dissipated, Viola and the others were only now able to open their eyes and view the horrifying scene before them.

For thousands of miles in a circular direction around the Oblivion Acolyte, everything… literally everything had been erased. “This…” Viola, struggling to even so much as stand up right now, stared out at the circular whiteness with her mouth agape. From this far away, the enormous Oblivion Acolyte looked like a tiny blackish speck in the middle of a vast field of white.

Cassius, on the other hand, was once again nowhere to be found…

Before Viola could even finish that thought, Cassius’s once voided aura resurfaced from the emptiness of nothingness. Both she and the six or so S-Rank Hunters standing beside her could do nothing but gawk and exclaim in surprise as they watched the impossible occur.

“T… This Japanese Hunter of yours… Just what in the hell is he!?” No longer able to keep quiet anymore, Vera swiveled her head toward the shocked purple-haired woman. “How can someone like him possibly exist!? The power that the Boss Monster just unleashed—it should’ve killed him on the spot!! And it did!! So how!?? How is he back alive again!???”

“…I… I don’t know,” Viola answered with a tone that emulated just how confused she was.

She had never been so taken aback in her entire life! What the hell was going on!?

He became the embodiment of speed itself, with his rate of acceleration already at thousands of times the speed of light!

Dragon Quasar Beams were launched in repeated succession, with the subsequent energy emissions becoming so volatile that they clashed with each other. Ridiculously sharp crimson sword slashes followed right behind, further adding to the symphony of powerful attacks fusing and separating from one another in absurd fashion.

This scene not only happened in one direction of the Oblivion Acolyte but in every single direction.

The Boss Monster was surrounded, with a limitless number of attacks obscuring its vision. Radiantly flashing streaks of red and purple blinded the monster just enough for Cassius to slip past its third eye and appear above its head. However, even through the innumerable attacks barring the view of the outside world from the Oblivion Acolyte, its third eye—the S+++ ‘Oblivion Eye’—worked in ways beyond human understanding. And the moment this swirling eye locked onto Cassius’s new location, it instantaneously reacted and burst-fired dozens of ‘Oblivion Beams’ at him.

KA—BOOOOOOOOM!!!

An ear-deafening explosion with residual effects that reached even Viola tore through the sound bubble that encapsulated them all. Yet, from the very epicenter of that dreadful explosion, a bloodied grin curved upward.

Yet, just as purple, white, and crimson runic lines appeared in quantities too vast to count, and just as the final word to the sequence was to be spoken, Cassius’s crazed bloody eyes darted toward an eerie figure hiding in the folds of space.

At that very same moment, the Gremlin Extraterrestrial Fiend’s detached facade drastically changed. It reacted near-instantaneously and fled far, far away!!

But not far enough…

While the Alien ran and the Oblivion Acolyte erupted with its most powerful Ultimate Attack, a single word—just that single word—its pronunciation altered the very fabric of reality inside the Gate.

Everywhere, no matter where it was within the Gate—all of it was unable to escape what that final word represented.

The expressions of Viola, Vera, and the other S-Rank Hunters drastically changed as a scarlet purple light flashed in their eyes. Their pupils—they failed to fully reflect the calamitous scene before them. It was… It was… Apocalyptic.
