Chapter 309: GX- – – Unrivaled Godborn Physique
With eyes as big and watery as the ones she possessed, the little girl looked up at her father when she saw him reach for his double-sided ax. He stopped his movements as soon as she did that, with his gruff expression twisting a little in annoyance.
However, no matter the era, the puppy dog eyes of an adorable little girl always worked well to persuade naïve fathers. Those suckers.
This archaic man was no different, for he succumbed to the whims of his baby girl.
With a nasty look directed at the bleeding unconscious man, he turned around in a huff. The ground beneath his soles cracked, urging the occurrence of small earthquakes. However, he pursued the matter of the unknown man no further, letting his daughter do whatever she wanted with the weakling.
In this world, the sentient beings were capable of gauging the strength of anyone as strong or weaker than them. This Innate Ability of theirs—one spawned without the use of energy—was what allowed many to avoid dangerous situations.
It was also because of this Innate Ability that the big burly man—the Chieftain of the Bonecliff Village—knew for certain that his daughter could effortlessly take on a hundred of the unconscious man. And if she wanted him for one reason or another, then so be it; he wasn’t going to stop her.
The Chieftain’s daughter bounced toward the unconscious man, where she then bent down and cutely tilted her head. Her primitive bow bounced a little as she prodded at the man with her fingers.
“You awakes…?” she asked, faintly hearing the sound of a heartbeat. “Wants foods? Hungry?”
The language that those in Bonecliff Village spoke was not a fully developed one. This was why, even with Cassius’s superb translation Skills, the translated words of the girl came out sounding rather odd. Yet, that didn’t mean she wasn’t fluent in the language; in fact, she was praised around the Village for her smarts.
Seeing as the man didn’t respond to her questions, the young girl grabbed his arm and tossed him over her shoulders. He was nearly three times her size, which made the view right now an unusual one to look at. However, that didn’t stop the girl from making the act of carrying him appear any less effortless.
The Chieftain’s daughter took Cassius and descended the cliff before catching up to her father and the rest of the Hunting Party. Most of the Hunting Party members lugged around only their weapons of choice, while some had on their shoulders the corpses of ants dozens of times their own size. These were what they’d be bringing back to the Village after surviving their frisky encounter with a horde of Mutated Fire Ants.
On their return trip to a medium-sized village that lay between a couple of enormous mountains, the Bonecliff Chieftain and the Main Hunting Party encountered numerous oversized creatures. There were red-eyed savage rabbits the size of skyscrapers and stinging hornets bigger than hot air balloons. No matter where one looked or wandered, they’d be able to find common, everyday animals far larger than they should be.
Hell, even the trees and mountains were far larger than normal!
This was why it took two weeks for the Bonecliff Chieftain and his Main Hunting Party to traverse five mountains while moving hundreds of miles per hour.
Everything in the Infinite Character Development Dimension was enlarged to a completely absurd degree!
It felt a bit like one of those Honey, I Shrunk the Kids films…
Humans and anything of a similar two-meter average size had become the…tiniest living beings around…
— Upon arriving at the massive gated entrance to the relatively tiny Bonecliff Village —
“You really kept the weakling??” The Chieftain directed his question to his daughter, his lips curled up in disdain. “If you keep, you feed it.”
His young daughter bobbed her small head in compliance before frolicking through the Village’s large bone-covered gates. On her back was the peacefully sleeping Cassius, his body now no longer feeling the same life-threatening amount of pressure as when he first arrived in his Dimension.
A System Notification related to this rang out while he was still caught up in a state of deep sleep.
*Ding!*
[Your EX++++ ‘Unequal Earthborn’ has progressed by leaps and bounds, reaching 100% proficiency!]
[Your EX++++ ‘Unequal Earthborn’ Physique has forcefully advanced and become the GX- – – ‘Unrivaled Godborn’ Physique!]
[P.S. for the Sleepy Head when you wake up, the GX Rank is what exceeds the EX Rank. If the latter represents transcendence of one’s Mortality, then the former takes things a step further and allows one to touch upon the most basic version of Godhood.]
[The GX Rank (Godlike Rank) is also a very well-kept secret of the Ascension Tower, so don’t tell anyone I told you all this. Teehee~]
Cassius—unaware of the System’s ravings—was brought into the Village. The girl hauling him around met and talked to many people after leaving her father’s side. However, as one who kept quiet most of the time, she escaped every conversation as quickly as possible. Even if many in the Village adored her, she wasn’t the most social girl around.
Yet, even if the girl dodged the paths of people as best she could, they always seemed to find a way to intercept her. That bow laced through her brown hair had this cartoonish trait of describing what she was feeling, and when talking to people, it typically drooped. The Villagers—all of whom knew her very well—understood that when the bow drooped too low, it was time to let her be on her way. An opportunity that she took advantage of each and every time.
Finally, after a prolonged twenty-minute trip through the Village, the girl made it to a hill located near the highest parts of the Village. This was where the Chieftain’s large home was situated; it was also where his wife and only child lived.
Strolling up the hill, the Chieftain’s daughter seemed to be walking with a distressed way about her. She was trying her utmost to reach home and escape the overly social and adoring Villagers.
