Chapter 379: The Ice Progenitor is actually…!? [Bonus Chapter 6/7]
Even one of the most talented Ancestors in the history of the Ascension Tower lost his life in an instant to this being shrouded in light, and it was unlikely that he had underestimated the Big Man himself.
However, now that he was here in the flesh, Cassius couldn’t help but pause to wonder why the System wanted him to have a meeting with God in the first place. What did he have to gain from this encounter?
Furthermore, why had God let him in so easily to begin with??
The Heavenly Progenitor let down the heavenly glow that covered him. It was only then that Cassius could make out his true appearance, and though the amusement on his face momentarily distracted him, there was…
“Wait!” Cassius suddenly exclaimed, his brows arched in astonishment. “It’s you! How can it be you!?”
Rarely did he ever lose control of his emotions, but the true identity of the Heavenly Progenitor was just too big a pill to swallow!
Could it really be possible!?
Possible for those two people to be the same person!?
“Surprised, are ya, young Cassius?” said the Heavenly Progenitor, a small smile gracing his graceful middle-aged appearance. “To think we’d meet again after all this time. Do tell me, how has that Virtual Projection Technique I gave you been treating you? Good, I hope.”
The motherfucking Ice Progenitor!
The crazily powerful guy who had gifted Cassius the VOPC Technique! Also, the one who had filled him in on the history of his family!
This overpowered dude was really the God of the Bible!?
What the hell was going on here!??
The Heavenly Progenitor chuckled, finding Cassius’s reaction just as amusing as he had expected.
“You really are an interesting kiddo, young Cassius,” he laughed. “And though I had high hopes for you, I never thought you’d come this far in such a short period of time. You’ve really surprised me.”
Cassius stood there with his mouth wide open, still attempting to find the proper words to convey the shock in his heart. Coming to realize that the ‘old friend’ his father scowled at the mention of was, in actuality, G.O.D. was a revelation almost beyond what his feeble brain could process.
“Say, young Cassius,” said the Heavenly Progenitor. “Although I’m more than happy that you came to visit me, why is it that you’re here? I sent you that message and all on a whim, curious to see how far you had progressed in your journey, but I wasn’t sure you’d come.”
A lie.
“Honestly, you should instead be out there making use of my self-created technique to dominate the Seven Ascension Towers. That competition held by Yggdrasil is also coming up again, which is definitely something you should be preparing for.
So…
Why is it that you’ve come to me?”
Cassius’s agape expression returned to neutrality, his brows furrowed deeply. “That’s something I’d like to know myself,” he ultimately said, unaware of God’s deceit. “You could say that I felt something compelling me to come here—to you. As for why, I have no idea.”
The Heavenly Progenitor rubbed his chin in thought, his disposition no different from that of a chill old man. Then, as if a lightbulb had flashed inside his mind, he took out a couple of abyssal-like objects in the shape of diamonds.
“Are these what beckoned you here?” he asked curiously. “I heard from a little birdie who knows how long ago that your destiny is quite the interesting one. And around that time, I picked these two up from some Monster Monarchs stirring up trouble. Also, even with my nigh-unlimited knowledge, I honestly have no idea what they are or what they do. But they feel like you, so I guess they must be part of that grand destiny of yours.”
Another lie.
‘Original Abyss Fragments!?’ Cassius thought. ‘How could these be here!??’
Surprise after surprise came Cassius’s way, putting him in a mood he hadn’t felt in who knew how long. But more than that, it was finally finding another Original Abyss Fragment after the first one that truly flooded him with happiness.
The first five floors of the Land of Monsters Ascension Tower had given him nothing, but now, with the meeting of this chill godlike entity, two had just conveniently appeared!?
Was this Plot Armor!?
However, he knew better than to get ahead of himself. Staring at the nonchalant God, he asked, “What do you want in exchange for these Original Abyss Fragments?”

Cassius was intelligent enough not to believe everything at face value. It was more than a little suspicious that God had sent him a letter knowing he’d follow it to the Heavenly Kingdom—only for him to have something that he wanted.
‘Too convenient,’ Cassius narrowed his eyes, wary of his surroundings. ‘There’s something he’s not telling me.’
The Heavenly Progenitor arched a brow.
Tension seemed to grow between the two of them until God suddenly erupted in laughter, placing the Original Abyss Fragments into Cassius’s hands.
“You really are just like him,” the Heavenly Progenitor said through tears. “But that’s good. Yes, very good indeed. It saves me the trouble of telling you what it is I want.”
Cassius gave a silent nod, not storing the Original Abyss Fragments just yet.
With the confirmation to continue, God raised both his arms. And though this put Cassius on edge, he soon realized the incomprehensible deity was not attacking him; rather, he was altering the very fundamental laws of the world around them. Waterfalls blipped out of existence, birds stopped their singing, and entire hills warped out of reality.
Then, in an instant, everything simply… vanished.
Yet, in the very next second, the raging sounds of an active volcano could be heard. All around Cassius and God appeared an inferno-like scenery, akin to the hellish depths of HELL itself.
“What I want from you, young Cassius, is something that will be anything but easy for you to acquire,” God began as he zoomed into a specific area of the boundless volcanic scenery. “This is the 7th Layer of HELL, a fractured fiendish expanse of land with boundaries that can’t be properly measured by the standards of beings below the Godlike Rank. This is where the Three Great Demon Kings reside.
One of which is one of my children…”
