I put no suspicious substances inside that potion, and as for the reason I gave it to you… Well, I was hoping that you could be my bodyguard while I’m within the confines of the Emonius Triade.”

“Your bodyguard?? Why would you need me to be your bodyguard when it’s highly possible that you could even afford Diamond-Rank bodyguards…”

Azmodeus wasn’t able to fathom why this mysterious woman would want a mere Mid-Gold Rank man as her bodyguard…

Chi Wu picked up a couple more vials with multi-colored substances inside them as she walked over to her velvet-colored bed. She sat down with her legs crossed over one another in a sensual manner.

“The reason I want you as my bodyguard is because no one else knows that I’m a Diamond Rank Potion Master. In fact, everyone in the Emonius Triade is still under the assumption that I’m in the Late-Silver Rank, which would still make me a genius in the eyes of the people.”

Chi Wu patted the spot right next to her on the bed. She was obviously inviting the handsome man over in the same way that he invited her at the cake shop.

The Crimson Witch wasn’t sure what that had to do with anything, but she still responded, “I don’t know of the exact date; however, I am sure that the first wave will be on our doorsteps within the next thousand years… Which is not enough time to do anything to stop it…”

She was putting all her hope in the deeply hidden talent of the handsome man sitting beside her, for there was truly no way that she could escape the pursuit of entities with far more strength and talent than she had…

“A thousand years…?” Azmodeus’s furrowed brows eased up as he couldn’t believe he got so worked up over nothing.

Chi Wu was puzzled by the relaxed posture of the man whom she had just requested to protect her from beings that could be countless times stronger than he was.

Which was why she asked, “Why did the time that we have left change your tune…? One thousand years is not enough for anything…”

“Tell me, Chi Wu, how long do you think it has been since I broke through the Gold Rank in Physical Existence Refinement?” Azmodeus inquired with an amused expression.

“I don’t know… Maybe three thousand years? I was surprised that you could breakthrough from a single Diamond-Rank Potion, but it should be around there.”
