Middle Nascent Soul Realm, 6 Years
…….
The flaw in the pill cauldron’s formation wasn’t big enough to allow Azmodeus to take advantage of it by using brute force to shatter it, but it was just enough to allow natural Qi particles of heaven and earth to gather inside the pill cauldron from the outside world.
This and the Nascent Soul Realm Qi Pills were the only things that allowed his cultivation realm to constantly see improvements.
Although it wasn’t anywhere near where it would be if he were murdering Spiritual Beasts and cultivators in Prometheus, it was still enough to allow for a perfect cultivation foundation.
In fact, his foundation was so sturdy that it was on the verge of becoming flawless, with not a single blemish in sight!
Even his Golden Core and Nascent Soul were a lot brighter than they would normally be if he relied purely on the assistance of the system.
This was all to say that not everything was so bad while being trapped inside an impermeable and impregnable Alchemy Furnace in the middle of who knew where.
Nevertheless, everything came to an end, and Azmodeus had a gut feeling that after he comprehended the Array, along with the other two profession-related products, he should be able to find a way outside of the Alchemy Furnace once and for all!
However, with everything in life, all things come with a price… And in this case, the price was time…
–
Like the falling of leaves in autumn and the moon’s rotation around earth, 4 years passed in the blink of an eye…
It was on the day that Azmodeus reached the age of 18 that he also achieved the Middle-Earth Rank in not only his Alchemy, Formation, and Rune Professions, but also in his newest Array Profession.
Furthermore, it was also on this auspicious day that he achieved the Middle Nascent Soul Realm!
WAAAA!
After an eruption of crimson-colored Qi died out, a man who looked like nothing short of a fallen sword immortal stood up from his mediation position with a sleek black blade bent over one hand, wearing a pair of black gold robes that only further accentuated the level of eloquence that he possessed after achieving the Middle-Nascent Soul Realm at such a young age.
“It looks like everything has been put in place perfectly…” He muttered as his aloof gaze scanned over the far easier-to-understand Formation Rune Array.
In comparison to the jumble of chaotic elements that used to be how the Formation Rune Array appeared to him, now everything looked like billions of tiny energy strings that were on the precipice of being fully unraveled.
“However, now that I have reached this point, there appears to be one more layer to this complex puzzle that was set before me.”
He looked at an extremely tough layer of an unknown metal that encased the outermost layer of the Cauldron itself.
“It looks like the mysterious someone who put this whole thing together has decided to put one more obstacle in my way…”
Azmodeus knew, as if on instinct, that if he tried to punch that metal, the rebound force would shred every ounce of his physical body…
Well, I was missing the Spirit Blacksmith Profession, so this works out as well…
A wry chuckle nearly escaped his mouth before it was restrained by his aloofness, resulting in his expression morphing into one of complete neutrality, as he blurred over to the nearest wall, trying to comprehend even the slightest bit of what he was dealing with.
…
Two years later.
OOOM!
An unusual swirling of energy was being emitted from the aura of a young man with crimson black hair, as he sat with a resolute look on his face, holding what appeared to have been a sword of sorts.
However, unlike the other swords in Azmodeus’s possession, this sword looked as if it had been just recently forged.
Furthermore, it appeared to be of far higher quality than the Common and Mortal Rank weapons that he typically carried around with him.
“A Middle-Earth Rank Sword. This will do quite nicely in increasing my overall combat power,” he muttered, his hands gripping the intensely vibrating sword.

WAAAA!
The energy tendrils coming off the unbelievably sharp edge of the blade seemed to be capable of slicing entire countries in half!
“You’re a feisty one, aren’t you?” He mused, his hands clasping the sword even tighter than before, causing its aura to be reeled in without any hope of resistance.
“It’s good that you’re as vivacious as you are, but don’t get too carried away.”
His apathetic voice resounded, as he looked down at the lively blade with an indecipherable gleam passing through his eyes.
“…”
The sword stopped vibrating right then and there, as even though it wasn’t self-aware, it knew that it would be melted back down into materials the moment it decided to act up.
“Anyway, you will help me progress further in understanding the essence of Spirit Blacksmithing. Oh, and you will also assist me in taking down that wall over there,” Azmodeus said with a nonchalant tone, his finger outstretched, pointing toward the robust walls of the pill cauldron’s interior.
The sword never responded or even moved, but he knew, as if on instinct, that the sword agreed to this ‘proposal’.
Nonetheless, it was the time of day in which he was supposed to be practicing his Alchemy, so that’s exactly what he did as he took out a pill cauldron that he forged himself.
It was of the Low-Earth Rank, making it a higher level pill cauldron than the one he was trapped in; however, the Evil Cultivator’s pill cauldron was not as simple as what was shown at face value.
At least, that was the case after the sudden disappearance of the Evil Cultivator, as before that point, everything was as it should’ve been in the Pill Cauldron.
Even at this very moment in time, Azmodeus had not the slightest inkling of an idea about the matter revolving around the disappearance of the Evil Cultivator and subsequent ‘trials’ set up after such an event occurred.
He called them ‘trials’ out of convenience. After all, they were essentially tests or trials conjured up in order to keep the Alchemy Furnace sealed, or, in this case, to keep him sealed…
